Best ROM for emulators (retroarch mostly)? - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

so,i really want to use that beautiful 2k display so i've ordered ipega telescopic controller and i'm slowly gathering all the ROMs.i want mostly 2d games (gb,gba, snes, sms, smd, maybe some psx games) and i've figured Retroarch will do most of them.
what rom would be best for them?also,i need working bt beccause i plan on using my aptX LL headphones.i don't plan on playing modern games and using it for anything else beside some retro games.
Thanks in advance!

Heyyo, for aptX? Any Android 9 pie custom ROM would be best. Android 10 ROMs currently have a major bug where bluetooth headsets do not work during calls, but Android 10 custom ROMs do have better Vulkan API performance thanks to upgraded Adreno graphics drivers for any emulator that you uses it. That's mainly for 3D emulation though.
There isn't really a "best ROM" per-se, more or less it is a best Android version.

[Q] Slow Galaxy Tab 10.1 Performance

Hello.
i am using my galaxy tab lately, but noticed it had unbelivably slow performance in games like modern combat 3, asphalt 7, and even Sonic 4 Episode 2 and BIT TRIP BEAT, and shown many apps in the playstore as being incompatible. after testing lots of roms, i decided to put a jellybean 4.1.2 rom on it and overclock. although more apps are shown as compatible with it, the device still performs poorly in a lot of 2d and 3d games. tried to live with it, but when i saw that the official (physical) samsung keyboard that i got it with it (connects through charging port) which was recognised by stock hc and ics is now recognised by it as a timer (wtf), i decided i must find a better rom. been looking for weeks by now. i will appreciate any suggestion from you to a fast performing, battery efficient and highly compatible rom and kernel combination that i could use on my device that you have tested and can recommend.
Thank you, E.
I like both the aokp and cm10 4.2 jb roms.
It could be some of the games you are playing, not all developers try hard. Nfs most wanted has amazing graphics and plays great, I have had other games with Nintendo graphics that don't run smooth.

[Q] CM10.1 Safe Overclocking speed for emulation

Hello, i want to emulate NDS rom, it is a normal game, not so much touch activity, no the best NDS graphics, and when it emulates, it goes a bit slow, i just need some more speed and it would be great, so i wanted to overclock to check out if it gives me the extra hardware power i need, the emulator is NDS4droid, i saw this same game running on a google nexus 7 smoothly so i wanna check out if i can do it on my SGS2, so the question is:
With CM 10.1, Resurrection Remix 3.1.3 JB, what would be a safe overcloking ?, also like how much time could i stay playing to not burn the processor
Thanks for your time
bump
What kernel are you using?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using 2nd ROM
NDS is the worst to emulate...
it lag even in my Nexus 7, OC to 1.55Ghz
because theres so many variables to look at!
1. NDS Rom Source, quality of ROM and country source? EU, US blah blah
2. NDS emulator app?, theres good and bad.
3. device RAM
4. CPU speed, it lags in my nexus 7, not even gonna try in S2,
to take that, NDs games wont be enjoyable being emulated, i wanna try Pokemon SO BAD, so i emulated it with Nexus 7, and the controls are crappy, and lags.
So i just bought a preowned 3DS XL, bought Pokemon black 2, and its epic!

Best ROM for Gaming?

I got my MiPad some months ago only because of the performance and the K1 chip so I could game on it all I want but recently the android version, in other words KitKat is getting in my way to play games as most game developers are now also abandoning KitKat, developing games which only work with devices running 5.0+ or whatever. So yeah, That's all. Suggest me some ROM which is reliable for Gaming. Also, I have a lot of games already on my MiPad so I can't just try each and every ROM which is why I'm asking this. I would like to wipe the system & flash a new ROM just once.
Thanks.

Dolphin emulator

I find it runs quite well on the device. I would say nearly the speeds I see on my Shield TV making it quite playable. I've only tried a Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, and New Super Mario Bros so far and while each one had just a touch of audio latency or lag it was certainly not bothersome to me. Score another point in my book for the Yogabook.
Nice ! Are you using an Android or Windows Yoga?
my bad, I am on the Android model. Using the latest nightly build (as of my initial post anyway) of Dolphin at the moment.
Nice that they finally made it work on the Yoga Book.
I'd be curious to hear how well it runs o the Windows version of the tablet?
It doesn't work on my Android book. All I get is a black screen. I tried several versions of the developer builds. Maybe it's because of the new N update or because my ROMs are on a SD card.
i was having that issue initially, not sure what if anything I changed to fix it, but working now on 5.0-5566 build using OpenGL on N 7.1.1
Still a tad slow but playable. Offhand I thought all Android N could do Vulkan? Dolphin crashes with an unsupported error if I try switching to that API

It runs surprisingly decent! Not perfect but I enjoyed playing Pikmin 2 and Luigi's Mansion without hardly any issue a week or so ago. In fact I think it would play fairly well if not for thermal throttling. Things start off really well but after 20 or so minutes (depending on the game) it may begin to throttle the CPU.
How to?

Can you make a tutorial for getting vulkan running on the Lenovo yogabook? I have root but not sure how to get vulkan running.
I don't own the Yogabook any longer. As noted though, I never could get vulkan working only opengl would work. I thought vulkan worked with all Android devices but best I gathered is that is only true of ARM type devices. Intel devices need at least the Iris 500 GPU or higher for vulkan support in the Windows world. So wile that's probably true of Android also the Yogabook only has the HD 400 series GPU.

Lastest custom rom for MiPad 1 that can run terga exclusive games?

I would like to know which of the newer custom rom's for the MiPad 1 can actually still run tegra exclusive games. I have the latest stable chinese miui build installed (v9.2.4.0) which runs them good, but youtube lags like crazy which I also use a lot and would like if it would work normally?
DotOS 8.1 is the ROM you are looking for

It is based on shield blobs. It has mind boggling gaming performance for tetra specific games. I am using it currently
