Hello guys,
I have updated from MIUI 9 to MIUI 11 months ago but it's draining battery very rapidly .
Is there any way to roll back / downgrade from MIUI 11 to MIUI 9 without losing the data on phone ?
If yes, could you please provide how to.
Thanks
Anyone !!!
is you bootloader unlocked?
in case it is unlocked, u can try download from miui.eu stable packages
No I didn't unlock it, but I guess I can handle that.
Which package shall i download Fastboot or Recovery ?
How to apply it to phone ?
Can you confirm this will not delete data on phone ?

Use method from thats link. It will force your phone to downgrade firmware version.
Search for files that match your cellphone type. (Firehose patched & fastboot firmware)
Dont forget to backup your qcn with diagnostic mode. Or you will loss your signal. (You can restore with diagnostic mode later, after flashing done)
And be careful when doing Testing Point to enter edl mode/9008.
When entering edl mode, do not leave it for too long or your cellphone disconnects automatically.
Note: If our driver is unreadable in the device manager / fails to enter EDL mode when entering the USB & test point combination, you must remove the battery connector and re-install. And repeat again.
I think its only way to downgrade firmware on locked bootloader.
I hope this will help your question

Hey guys,
I got my RN3 a month ago and since last 2 weeks i am trying to unlock the bootloader using the official method.
I had asked MI for permission and I got it within 3 days. Now since 2 week I am trying to unlock the bootloader but I keep getting the error on MIUnlock "Couldn't verify Device".
I am using the latest MIUnlock version.
I have searched extensively for a solution to the problem but unfortunately all the work arounds are not working for me.
I have tried it on the stock ROM that the phone came with.
The latest stable global ROM from MI V7.3.7.0. MIUI7
The beta global ROM from MI MIUI8
Same error everywhere. The process stops at 50%.
I am skeptical to try the unofficial method since it could brick my phone. But may go through with it if there is no other option.
Basically I want to root the phone and flash a CM13 ROM.
Please help me out
Thanks
Mine had said the same error failed at 50% - mine shipped with miui V7.3.6.0 (some vendor firmware I guess), here is what I did to fix it.
I have the redmi note 3 pro so this will apply only for the kenzo (snapdragon version)- I am not familiar with the mediatek one.
1. Install Xiao Mi Flash (beta) , then boot the phone into fast boot mode (from power off state - hold vol down + power until you see it say fast boot.), in Mi Flash at the bottom select clean all
2. extract the kenzo "fast boot" firmware
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html (find the firmware in the list)
IE:
Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot
(kenzo_global_images_V7.3.7.0.LHOMIDD_20160523.0000.23_5.1_global)
3. Select the extracted firmware folder in the Mi Flash program, hook the phone up and you should see it in the list, then click flash to flash it.. (this will erase all data)
after it finishes let it boot up it might take 10-15 minutes, then you can try to unlock it again, at this point it should pass now verification and unlock officially. - after success let it reboot again and it might take another 10-15 minutes to finish up.
(this is because it clears the phone data so it has to re-optimize all the apps).
do at own risk it worked for me but due to all the various methods the vendors use to flash this phone who knows if it will work for everyone...

hello,
i am not able to use miflash(beta) due to some qualcomm driver error because i am on 32 bit system. Instead i am using miflash 2015 10.28.0 which have 3 options like flash all, flash all except storage ,flash all except data and storage.which one to choose?
look at the image i have attached for your reference
first I suggest installing the Mi PC Suite (just to get the correct drivers installed), then try XiaoMiFlash again
http://en.miui.com/thread-92720-1-1.html
here is the Xiao Mi Flash I used.
http://en.miui.com/thread-281979-1-1.html
MiFlashSetup-Beta.zip (29.53 MB, Downloads: 96818)
I had to link my phone first before the Unlock tool would work. So login into you Mi Account on the phone first.
I had the same problem because i hadnt installed the miui dev rom yet..
the only solution is flashing DEV ROM
it worked for me
Please kindly refer to the thread and read the details steps and instructions because it seems like everyone is trying to hit the unlock procedure without knowing that the stable(global) version of the ROM is not apt for the official or any unofficial unlock procedure !
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE DISABLED DRIVER SIGNATURE VERIFICATION IN YOUR SYSTEM.
Unlocking Bootloader Procedure:
1. Download zip file (recovery file) of OFFICIAL MIUI China developer ROM for your device :
http://bigota.d.miui.com/6.12.8/miui_HM3SGlobal_6.12.8_b00ffce744_6.0.zip
Please don't get confused with the link as it's indeed a Developer ROM by 'global' in between the link and not the Global stable ROM, you can check it yourself.
Other ROM would not work. Then put it into phone storage. Go to Updater app, press the three dot on upper right corner, and select 'Choose update package'. Choose the zip file you just put in phone storage. The update will wipe all user data, please make backup beforehand.
2. Log into the Mi account which has acquired unlocking permission on your device. Make sure it's the same with the account you sent your request. It's recommended to connect to the Internet for Mi account to sync
3. Turn off your device, press the Power button and Volume - button at the same time to enter bootloader mode
4. Log into the unlocking tool on PC with the same Mi account. Connect the device with the PC using USB cable
5. Press 'Unlock'. The unlocking process will complete in about 10 seconds
For those who already bricked your devices you may using Mi PC SUITE to reflash your device. You are advised to download it to install necessary files (ADB and so on) .
Hi... as far as i know.. you need to be on the same rom from which you have applied for bootloader unlock..
i bought new redmi 3s last week.. and same day applied for unlock... and when going through different threads.. lot of people saying that we need to be in developer rom or Chinese rom to unlock boot loader..so i downloaded global developer and installed it..
with in 2 days i got confirmation from xiaomi that i have permission for unlock.. to my bad.. every time i tried to unlock boot loader its stuck at 50% with current device information is different error..
so finally decided to downgrade to the same version from which i applied for unlocking.. so tried Deep flash cable method to put phone in qualcom loader to bypass bootloader... and installed same global stable version.. after successfully installing stable version tried unlocking.. and voila... bootloader unlocked with in 10 Seconds...without any hitch...
So if you want to unlock bootloader... wait for atleast 7 days after you get confirmation message from xiaomi...

Yes, glad someone else noticed it too. Yes I had trouble for a lot of days with developer ROM after getting permission a week back but no luck.
PS: Disabling Driver Signature Verification is paramount in this process.
Hello Sirs/Ma'am,
Is there a way to flash Pocophone F1 without unlocking bootloader? My phone's update was interrupted and sent to Xiaomi Service Centers but they said it was hopeless unless they change it's motherboard.
My phone is now in bootloop and shows only whitescreen, I can only access the boot options (accessible by keys)
Tried flashing it but all tutorials I encounter requires me to unlock the bootloader. Tried unlocking it but I get the error "Current account is not bound to this device", I tried every account I had but It all didn't work.
check this video (especially at 01:10)

Hi Im sorry forgot to mention my phone was in Bootloop Updated the thread
I think there is no other way to flash poco f1 without unlocking the bootloader. if you are flashing different ROM. but if not. try the flashing guide of using MiFlash tool there is instruction on how to flash using MiFlash.
back in old days by entrying in to EDL (redmi3s) you could replace boot.img (stock) with boot.img (twrp) in the extract .tgz file (3gb)
redmi3s goes to edl by pressing all 3 buttons 30 seconds
once you have twrp on locked bootloader you could flash other roms! since stock recovery is replaced
however later they made edl hard by short circuit test point method where back cover must be removed and two certain points to be touched by wire of motherboard and connecting usb wire to pc SIMULTAINEOUSLY
this method is valid till now! if you remove poco back panel it can go in to edl
but now flashing EDL requires AUTHORIZED account in Xiaomi flasher so its not possible anymore!
But this tool requires that ADB is enabled in developer options... If the phone is completely bricked or screen cracked... There is no way for me to enable it.
This is the reason I made this post.
I successfully upgraded to miui 12 , after that i did some try to get back in miui 11 grobal rom . now the phone is not responding. no screen on, no vibration. but when I connect the phone with mi flash tool, here it is showing com3 . If it hardbricked, then there will flash all the system via edl mode, all the data will be gone, but i don't know if the bootloader get lock again or not..anyway, unlocked bootloader not a big issue i think
Maybe interesting for this topic:

You must Use the fastboot version
https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/joyeuse/
unzip *.tgz via winrar, 7-zip etc.
The folder with the extracted files must be on the root of a partition, otherwise there are error messages
Then switch on the cell phone via
power + volume down <---(Edit: sorry, down not up)
start in fastboot mode
- Connect phone via USB cable
- Start the MiFlash tool.
- Use "Select" to set the path to the folder or immediately paste the path previously copied in the file manager into the address bar of the flash tool.
- Select "clean all" below
- Refresh once
- now "flash" at the top right
PS:
bootloader is normally not locked again unless you select "clean and lock".
but if it should be blocked for whatever reason, that's no problem.
Once unlocked there is no longer a waiting time when unlocking again.
Simply start the "miflash unlock" tool, sign in and unlock again

beacuse you tried flashing with locked bootloader. Only hope is service center. or MSM download tool. Some guys are selling code for 3-10 USD. I dont have contact. So dont PM me.
I've already unlocked bootloader. Pc doesn't seem to detect it. I don't know what to do. Only if I can enter edl mode, maybe I can flash it once again
