So since im a cheap boi and cant afford stuff,i bought a broken stratos for much cheaper.
The problem with it is that it keeps booting up and restarding, and the touch doesnt work.
So me beeing me i bought it, and thought hey if i install a stock rom on it from scratch all the bugs should go away, so i went i bought it and i saw it had aloooot of bugs, the clock didnt work, the touch didnt work and it kept restarting. So what i did was i flashed the stock OS but the problems didnt go away
Now i need your help! What should i do to hopefully salvage this poor thing?

First off: Let me clarify that I searched the forums but could not find any thread that described my problem. If this has already been answered, please help me close this thread.
I'd been running the Desire V5 Android build with Jul 23rd zImage for a while now without any problems.
I recently started having lag, slowdown and non-responsive touchscreen (I'd have to wake my device many times before it started responding). Last evening, it stopped responding completely. I pulled the battery and booted back to Windows, only to see that that touchscreen wasn't working even there!
Worried, I flashed the shipped ROM for my T-Mo HD2 - no SPL (RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.1_Radio_Signed_15.34.50.07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship) and the touchscreen started working again.
I thought everything was fine and started Android, and found that the touchscreen stopped working.
Now, even reflashing the shipped ROM doesn't seem to do anything.
What can I do? Should I do a Task <what>? Has anyone seen/had this problem before? I'm hoping it isn't defective hardware.
Ok, got it working
Ok, I got it working again.
1. I did a Task 29 using (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=644781&highlight=Task29, ShaDrac's repack).
2. Flashed a ROM (I used the T-Mobile stock ROM, but I guess anything else would have worked too).
Hope this helps if someone else faces the same problem!

Guess I spoke too soon! The problem is back, and this time I didn't even boot into Android. Guess it's the hardware. I'll just have to install the stock ROM with SPL and go back to T-Mobile!

I have the same problem. Right now, I think it's the hardware. Just sat down the other day with my HD2 in my pocket. Maybe it has been bent or something like that. I don't know....
the same thing is happening to me..at first if i locked my phone and the screen wudnt respond..now it wont respond at all..i tried flashing it..still not working!!..has to be something with android..i installed a new android build the day b4....or the new cookies home tab replacement...i installed that too...dont kno wat to do now...
I have had the same exact problem.. the touchscreen stopped working when my friends and some chicks were taking pic (EMBARASSING ) ).. and i even tried it on windows mobile, didnt work. tried that yellowish button in the back of the phone to reset it.. nothing happened.. so i plugged in my phone to charge up (IN WINDOWS since i couldnt boot into android.) It was charging the whole night, and when i woke up the issue is gone, havent had it at all after that.
i am almost positive its hardware; you all are describing the same exact problem i had a month back. i finally had enough and called htc, found out the phones are warrantied for a year and sent it in for repairs. took about 3 weeks and my phone was back, 100% fixed and cost me nothing out of pocket (well except the cost of shipping the phone to them). instead of fighting it, call htc......i was so glad when i got this problem fixed it was so damn annoying! good luck all

I had the same problem a few months back. It is certainly hardware. I had this problem before android was available on our hd2's. I task29'd it, flashed to stock rom, and reverted to stock spl. Nothing fixed it so I had to send it back to T-Mobile.

Hi, im in a bit of a crisis right now, and i want to ask you for all the informations you have about unbricking my archos 101 it, i never ever droped it, never did anything bad to it, but now some weeks the touch started to stop functionating, as in it would stop working and maybe start working again, but again stop, but today i am unlucky, it doesent work anymore at all, in the last weeks i recalibrated the touch in recovery and it would start to work again for a bit, so i kinda could use it, but today i booted it, again touch not working, reboot recovery, repair, force touchscreen calibration and got: touchpannel can not be calibrated, error 254, after googling a bit i found out that error usually means faulty hardware, so i opened it up, and had a look at the wires (togheter whit my father), and we didnt see any problem, now the odd thing is that at a moment after opening it up, while it was still dissembled we started it and the touch was working, but soon it again stoped working, ofc we were really carefull when working whit it, and now i want to ask for some help, as in please can someone give me some links to things like full dissembly and reassembly tutorials, possible things to do to make it work once again, or anything that could be helpfull, cause i really need it, mainly cause i need it at school, and i also really like this tab (dont ask me why, but i do), please make any suggestions, i really wanna repair it, and also if any of you ever had such a problem before whit any gen 8 devices and managed to fix them, cause its really odd how it became unworking whitout being damaged, also i would send it back cause it had a 2 years warranty, but i have installed sde on it, and also i have the stock firmware fully rooted ((idk how or why, but i do), so its warranty void, so im thinking to fully wipe it, uninstall sde, and reinstall the stock os and send it back, cause maybe im lucky as some of my friends were and they wont even verify if it is watermarked, but i first want to see if it can be repeared, cause maybe i wont be lucky, and i really want to get it workign again.

My Archos 101/G8 got same touch panel could not calibrate issue for long time!
Finally I gave up to repair it due to Archos 101/G8 is old version and difficult to get

i have to tell you it from the beginning because i think it is important to understand where is the problem. it was about some moths ago when i had problems when my phone was in standby and someone called me, it happened sometimes that my touch screen didnt responded and i couldnt take that call and had to restart phone. after restart it was ok. it didnt happen so often but with tim (i think another month) i happened maybe once every day. and maybe a month after that i first got stuck during i was doing something in my phone - not in locked state. sometimes didnt helped even one restart so i had to remove battery for a while but after that it was fine. at least for a while. i think that problems with touchscreen (or maybe better with digitizer) happened almost every day. i tried also reflash some custom rom i used before but it didnt help. so it got into state when touchscreen stopped working and i was very happy when it started to work for a while. it happed sometimes after factory reset in android service menu and once after many times reflash of rom and kernel but only till next restart. i also locked bootloader and gave there stock rom and many times reflashed stock rom but nothing helped now.
Lets say i also tried some advices in that that tutorial about 10 different way to repair bricked touchscreen. but i am not sure if it is actually hardware or software issue. it is very important to aim my effort. i dont know if i shouldnt buy some whole touchscreen+lcdf or just digitizer for sk17i on ebay or on the other hand try to solve software issue and reflash, restart, reset bricked touchscreen.
i dont have much experience like some guy in mobile phone service. in my mobile service they told me it is hardware issue and they will repaire it but it is very expensive from them. but i dont believe that guys at all so i write here.
My phone is after the warranty so i got an idea to buy sopme used sk17i with a warranty, change display with mine and give it into the mobile phone service where they will change the touchscreen for free and i could sell that both phones after that. i dont want that xperia anymore. but this can only work if it a hardware problem
so what do you think guys?

If you did a clean flash with stock rom & that didn't helped than its an hardware problem!
But you are luck if your touch is miss calibrated or its an overheating issue.
Do your mini's soft buttons starts pressing itself?

i solved it with new lcd + digitizer from ebay and made some manual assembly. my phone now works great, so i suppose problem was caused by hardware
Touch not working
After installing ultimate HD 5.0 version on my SK17i (Mango) device..
So i installed CM 10.1 kernel and cm-10-20130929-NIGHTLY-mango ROM but still the touch is not working.....
Help me i tried switching to back to stock ICS but nothing is working now..
The only solution that work for me
Flash stock kernel
install zeally cream with device as Active
after touch starts but keyboard don't work but for that another keyboard zip is available http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1690889
but i am still looking for TOUCH WORKING on my stock rom or in any other rom as it works only in the zeally cream as i mentioned above ..

Hi, I have had reboots before but never like this and always with several months to half year apart, yesterday my phone started rebooting if i touched something in the menu. Of course I thought it were virus or malware that had infected the system or some faulty app that had done something to the ROM.
Therefore I got the stock ROM I had saved for just in case and another one I would try if ever I got tired of this phone(then use it for test purpose):
Stock ROM: Lenovo_A916_USR_S1205_141013
Second one, without bloatware: A916_USR_S206_baralajbi
Both from www.needrom.com
And I flashed the phone with first A916_USR_S206_baralajbi - unfortunately this one has problem with the charging animation when the phone is off, a small issue but enough for me to go back to stock ROM.
So I flashed with stock ROM.
Unfortunately in both cases it did not solve the reboot issue, so now I'm a big ?
Can it be the battery that suddently went dead?
Or can it be some other issue, like the ram being filled up and need to be zeroed out(read somewhere that this type of ram is not like HDD so not getting emptied just by deleting files, it will happened over time, when its overwritten)?
I really need some geniuses here, I'm in the Philippines right now until end of may, of course I could buy another phone, Dogee, HomTom, cherry mobile or asus zenphone but all has a price a bit out of my budget, and i need to save money for the trip home. Unfortunately I really need my phone.
Most of my data is backed up so I can just restore it, to new phone.
Hope someone has a way to bring back my Lenovo

Hi guys, another one for the Solutions Corner, it was the battery - strange that "geniuses" at Lenovo + nobody here couldn't come up with that!
With new battery the phone is no longer rebooting!

Hi, I'm new in this but I'm also desperate for help. For starters, I live in Venezuela so it's a bit troublesome to visit a proper tech service and stuff. Well, as I said in the title, the problem with my phone is that it keeps getting stuck in the LG logo. I've already flash it several times, but this solution only seems to work for a few days. I'll explain the problems in a chronological order
1) I dropped my phone in january and the screen broke, so I bought a new one along with a new touch screen. At that time, the only problem that I had was that, even though I had a SIM card in my phone, it didn't have any mobile network signal. I tried many things but gave up on that and the problem's still with me
2) In an attempt to fix that issue, I factory reseted my phone and since that time I got the feeling that something was off with my device but I dind't pay attention to it cos my phone was working appareantly fine
3)After that my device started to get laggy and I tought it was the battery because sometimes it was at 87% and when you turn it off and turn it on again, the battery was at 67% in an instant. It wasn't that bad so I kept using it like that
4) Sometime around last month my phone reboot itself (it was usual that when my device got reaaally laggy it reboots itself). The problem was that it got stuck in the LG logo so I look for solutions and end up flashing it.
5) It worked for a few weeks but the cycle started again. Laggy and then stuck in LG logo. I bought a new battery (wich works fine) thinking that this would solve the problem so I did a factory reset, flash it and then turn it on but the problem still didn't go away.
I'm desperate for help cos I need my phone to work and since I live in Venezuela, I really need the money and obviosuly, I can't afford to buy a new device. Could someone help me?
A little note here. I tried upgrading the software using "LG Mobile Support Tool 2014" but the app shuts down before downloading the upgrade. I don't know if it's due to my laptop being really old (Acer Aspire 5920). I know I have A LOT of troubles but I'm in need of a friendly help!
