I installed the android 10 update bit suddently when i rebooted it got on bootloop. I tried to go recovery and format it but it dodnt worked. Tried using mi flash but nothing happens. There is any way that i can unlock bootloader? (Cant boot and unlock oem)
Use the following codes on the adb after entering fastboot mode
First enter fastboot mode by pressing power and volume down until fastboot mode starts(about 10 sec)
Then enter the code
1) fastboot flashing unlock ( press enter)
2)fastboot --set-active=a (press enter)
Then run mi flash tool. Your phone should start.
Doesn´t work because the phone is locked and i can´t unlock it because don´t boot. That´s the problem.
Claim warranty!

Since your bootloader is locked and this loop occurred while officially updating you could claim the warranty and they will fix your phone for you.

Dear Community,
I got my Note 3 Pro Snapdragon Version today and I tried unlocking the bootloader, installing root and TWRP.
Unfortunately after I installed TWRP, WiFi didnt work anymore so I wanted to go back to where I was before.
i tried flashing the GlobalRom with the MiFlash Tool but somehow I'm now stuck with a bootloop.
The phone starts up and shows the MI Logo but doesnt go on. I tried booting TWRP temporarily via fastboot commands so that I can try to flash flashable zip files
but it doesnt let me execute "fastboot boot xyz.img" anymore because my device is locked.
I would really love to hear any solutions or ideas. I dont want any root or something anymore. If someone has an idea Im very happy!!!
thanks a lot in advance and tell me if you need any more infos

1. keep vol + and vol - pressed while connecting USB to enter adb mode
2. check if phone is connected with "adb devices" in command line, if phone shows up, enter "adb reboot edl"
3. now you can flash via MiFlash

First of all, HUGE thanks for your fast answer!
Unfortunately I couldnt get this to work. Since I am stuck at the Logog screen here is what I tried:
Pressing both volume buttons while Logo Screen and plugging USB.
Pressing both colume buttons while fastboot screen is up.
These two didnt enter adb mode, I guess because of the bootloop I'm in
I also tried antering recovery mode with volume up + power button. Pressing both volume buttons didnt help either but when I am in recovery like that it shows my device in adb as "sideload" device.
Maybe that helps ? Can you give further advice or am I doomed?
My idea would be: Is it possible to reflash the device completely only usinf fastboot? The only thing I seem to be able to enter is fastboot...
Is there a way from fastboot to "working phone" ?
or maybe through the "adb sideload" state?
thanks a lot in advance!
Paul
EDIT
tried installing via "adb sideload xyz.zip" command but after shortly showing a status bar on phone screen it aborted and said "Total xfer: 0.00x" on PC screen .
Also: I read "adb reboot edl" brings you to download mode so you can flash something. Tried it but the phone just rebooted the normal system, so it stuck on Logo again...
search miui forum for unbrick, there is 2 or 3 method without opening your device
exp: http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=257227
Unfortunately they all do not work because they always require either a phone in download mode, and i only get to fastboot and adb sideboard or they require flashing something via fastboot but I can't do that either because it says my device is locked if I try...
Any suggestions how to flash a ROM with fastboot only or with adb sideload?
Thanks a lot

I Had The Same Issue Brother ! There are only 2 Things which you can do now .
1. Test Point Method to enter EDL
2.Give it to Service Center . I Gave Mine to Service Center ,They Fixed it in 30 mins or less and it was free

Can I do the test point thing myself or is it risky?
What kind of service center? A general mobile phone repair shop or a Xiaomi special one?

I've been facing the same (or a similar?) problem about a week ago but managed to get out. Knowing me for having a head like a sieve I made some notes, sadly quite rudimentary
Did you try to flash with MiFlash after "adb reboot edl"? If I remember rightly after "adb reboot edl" you got the logo like booting another way, but the light is blinking red. Then I could flash via MiFlash.
I'm quite sure that if you get a "reboot" after entering "adb reboot edl", your phone will be in edl mode.
I will try that this evening when I am at home again and report. Thanks

Unfortunately this doesnt work. Phone reboots and shows MI Logo but red light doesnt blink and MiFlash doesnt recognize any devices.
Do you have another idea? :/
How did you unlock the bootloader, via official permission or that unofficial hack?
Sent from my Moto G using Tapatalk

Only options you have right now are:
1) using test points method which is a but cumbersome and voids warranty if you care about that.
2) go to a xiaomi service center of you have any nearby.
It is hard bricked.
So there is absolutely no option to unlock bootlader via adb sideload or fastboot ?

Apparently, no! Whenever using unofficial methods, read precautions carefully and you missed all as I can see. Wait if someone can help you out.
apply official unlock. then unlock your device from fastboot mode.

That sounds nice and easy. I already applied for official unlock.
But: do you know if u can use the official unlock now? I can only access fastboot and adb sideload mode. Is it possible to activate official unlock from there? Or do I need a working ROM rather?
I would have thought that official unlock doesn't work from fastboot /adb sideload...

Does anyone know this?
I have the same problem. I made the same mistakes as shisaya24. I have followed every procedure for unbricking and nothing works. I even applied for an unlock code and got it from Xiomi. I used their mi-unlock app which requires fastboot (pwr/vol-) but it gets to 50% and bombs out. It states it can't verify the phone. Can anyone please help me??

out of sheer desperation I tried MiPhone again and after a few tries, MiPhone started updating the OS. My phone now works again and I have an unlock code as well.
I am very new to this, I rooted my Moto G4 and now I need to download SUHide in order to play Pokemon Go. When I try to enter recovery via my fastboot/abd folder I get a < waiting for any device > message. When I hold down the power + volume down button my phone just turns on as normal without entering bootloader even though my bootloader is unlocked. I tried downloading an app that loads recovery for me but when I tried that I got a "no command" screen with a little green robot.
From what I've read, it's possible I didn't flash my trwp properly? I don't know how this is possible since I just rooted my phone. I would appreciate some help, I'm afraid to take any random guesses at the risk of ruining my phone. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious or not giving enough info, I'm not very tech savvy.

Try power plus volume up button to go to fastboot mode.
If it not working then connect your android to pc and enable adb. Type "adb devices" enter then type "adb reboot bootloader" and enter. It boots your android in fastboot mode.
If adb commands not working then install adb and fastboot drivers and try again.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
In most devices, volume up + power boots up the recovery options, volume down + power boots the device into fastboot mode (volume buttons first plus power, pressing power button first would boot the device normally).

How did you install the custom recovery? Try flashing the recovery.img again (I'm guessing, since you have root, that you did not "flash" (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) TWRP but just "boot" (fastboot boot recovery.img) it and installed SuperSU).

Okay, so that did work, and I was able to enter fastboot mode. However, once I scrolled down to "recovery mode" and tried to enter, I got the same "no command" screen.

I used the official moto g4 root guide on this website to root my phone and I'm pretty sure I booted, not flashed, the recovery img (mine is named twrp-3.0.2-0-athene). So, I tried using the command you provided to flash the recovery img and I got a < waiting for any device > message in the command prompt. My phone is plugged in and my recovery img is in the adb / fastboot folder. Any idea what this means? Thank you for the help guys
edit: If it helps to know this, my phone has usb debugging enabled and it is recognized by my pc. I type adb devices and my moto g4 serial number does indeed show up.

If you are trying to flash twrp recovery on your android then rename your twrp to recovery.
Boot your android in fastboot mode,
Navigate to folder that you have recovery. Press shift and right click and click on open command here and type "fastboot devices" and enter
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It flash your recovery to your android.

Did all that, getting:
(bootloader) slot-count: not found
(bootloader) slot-suffixes: not found
(bootloader) slot-suffixes: not found
(bootloader) has-slot:recovery: not found
error: cannot load 'recovery.img'
Also, per the suggestion of other users on these forums, I tried to hold down power and press volume up during the "no command" screen after attempting to enter recovery. That sent me into Android Recovery but it's not the twrp platform I used when originally rooting my phone.
How did you unlock the bootloader? have you tried: fastboot oem unlock?
You need to "allow oem unlocking" on developer options (which I guess you already did). Then reboot in bootloader: (a) adb reboot bootloader. In fastboot, you need to unlock the bootloader first: (b) fastboot oem unlock (or unlock-go). Then you can try to flash that recovery.img: (c) fastboot flash recovery "name of the file.img"
edit: fastboot oem unlock restores the device to factory settings. You need to configure and enable again "usb debugging" and "oem unlocking" (which are disabled by default). You can then proceed to fastboot flash
Hello guys,
after entering into fastboot mode , Fastboot logo displays for about 10 seconds and then it will reboots itself into charging mode/Switches OFF. doesn't matter if i use the key, or even use adb commands to get there. it will still reboot itself in short period of time.
why is this happening?
PS: Bootloader is Unlocked , I'm trying to flash TWRP

That would happen if proper driver is not yet installed in your pc. Search for the drivers, installed first then re-connect phone to pc....
Hey there,
I wanted to install twrp on my google nexus 5x.
Therefore I've unlocked the bootloader, entered fastboot mode and flashed the new recovery file.
I did this with adb fastboot tool.
No errors occured during the process, but after restarting the bootloader and entering the recovery mode, twr opens for a few seconds
and then gets closed again. Now I get an errormessage everytime (device software can't be checked... please lock bootloader) and I'm unable to do anything in the twr menu because it keeps getting closed
over and over again.
Now I can't even start my phone "normally" and can't get a connection with adb (no results when using: adb devices )
Some Bootmenu informations:
FASTBOOT MODE
PRODUCT_NAME - bullhead
.
.
.
SECURE BOOT - enabled
DEVICE STATE - unlocked
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
