Titanium backup: Apps crash after restore
Migrating to a new phone and discovered an issue with the backups on my old phone. This is tested and happening on both btw.
If I backup and restore a working app it then will force close on opening. Clearing cache and data and still force closes.
I tried uninstalling titanium, deleting titanium folder and reinstalling.
Same issue after a backup and restore of an application.
Running Oneplus 6 and Oneplus 7 pro
Unlocked and unrooted with magisk
Titanium at latest version from market.

Today I unlocked my Atrix's bootloader, and, knowing that /data would be wiped, I backed up all of my apps and data with titanium backup. The only problem is that now titanium backup doesn't detect the apps that I had backed up, except the system apps. So basically the market apps don't appear. I'm working on trying to fix this now, but if anyone can help that would be great.
Thanks
UPDATE: I fixed it by reinstalling my pro key. Turns out the phone thought I had the free version, and, after reading the website, turns out the free version doesn't detect user apps.
Hmm maybe someone could help me out here.
I backupped all my app with titanium, unlocked the phone andr tried to restore my apps but after restoring a few one my phone reboots.
If I restore them manuel everything works fine but I don't want to restore them manually.
Can someone help me out?
Anyone had this happen? I flashed XXKI3 a while ago and while doing initial tuning I backed up samsung account and temporarily uninstalled it. However when I tried to restore it from backup it's stuck on "restoring" and nothing. Force close Ti backup and retry results in the same.
Fortunately a quick reflash via odin restored it, but now I'm paranoid about uninstall anything with Ti backup, backup is useless if it can't be restored.
At the time I was on either stock or CF root, can't recall which one.
For the future, you should consider freezing apps (Paid version) you don't need before deleting them; much easier to restore if things go wrong.
For me personally, I could always restore uninstalled apps through Titanium though.
I know about freezing, but I needed uninstall to try out some stuff.
Hi guys
I have a lg g5 h850 rooted and have had problems with titanium backup. I can freeze/unfreeze and uninstall apps but I cannot restore system apps. It simply hangs when I attempt to and never finishes. I have to force quit titanium backup. I have changed selinuxmodechanger to permissive to no avail and tried changing the app processing mode in titanium backup again with no joy. Has anyone else experienced this and have any ideas for a solution??
Thanks
Hi there,
last days I updated my OnePlus3 Rom, restored all previous installed apps via google backup & restore and afterwards I restored all apps data via Titanium Backup.
But then on some apps the notification aren't working, like Quizduell, and some other apps.
Only help is to re-install the apps.
Is there any possibility to restore apps and the associated data after a rom update without the notification problems?
Thanks and best regards,
Shadow128
I have an LG G5 with LOS 14.1 and the Donate version of Titanium Backup. I'm trying to restore some apps from a recent TWRP backup.
I can select the apps I want to restore and TB goes though the process of restoring the apps.
At the end TB says the restores are complete, but there is no change and none of the missing apps are restored!
Can some please tell me how to fix this? Thanks!

TiBu is broken.
I've moved to Migrate in Google Play.
I've figured out how to restore an app from a TWRP nandroid backup.
1. Clear the app's cache
2. Put phone in airplane mode (to prevent app communication between steps 3 & 4)
3. Use the Nandroid Manager 2.4.2 app to restore the app only from the TWRP backup.
4. Immediately afterwards use Titanium to restore the data only from the TWRP backup.
5. Disable airplane mode
6. Start the app
This works perfectly, because Nandroid Manager chokes on restoring data, and Titanium chokes on restoring apps. It takes extra time, but so what - restoring an app is an essential operation.
