[HELP] SafetyNet for Google Pay - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Guides, News, & Discussion

I flashed a custom rom and magisk. Getting basic integrity right, but not CTS.
Any way to make Google Pay work?

Try flashing this module in Magisk, use the one by Hackintosh5, find the download under "requirements"

Improvement. Google Pay works, but I'm still having difficulties with banking apps.
EDIT: Google Pay will add cards, but not pay.

No Instant Apps on lineage 14.1

Hi,
I install lineage 14.1 and stock version of open gapps and now I don't get the option to use instant apps, it's not even shows in the google settings. Before I installed lineage I used the stock rom(eui 5.8.16) and I was the option of the instant apps.
How can I use the instant apps again??
I could not find a solution to it anywhere!
what you mean by instant apps?

What he said:good:
But I don't have the instant apps option at all!
I have no idea why....
Heyyo, hmm maybe it requires SafetyNet Certification?
You could try to pass SafetyNet authentication via Magisk and potentially Universal SafetyNet fix module for Magisk.
Otherwise you could try a different ROM like OmniROM which has official signed builds for the Le Max 2 hence they are SafetyNet certified. Might work on there.
I dunno if a larger version of Gapps is required or not either hmm tbh haven't tested instant apps so could require the stock OpenGapps or full Bean Gapps? I'm not sure sorry

how to root COLAL10 8.1.0.140(C675)

Hey please someone help me out on this! Can I try to root using ramdisk 131 (there is a
thread here) or do I have to use 140 patch one. If yes, can anyone with the root access on 140 provide me a patch ramdisk? If not, does anyone know how to patch oneself, that will be helpful also
Thanks in advance
Edit : thanks to no one, I was able to get root after multiple weird ways haha.
I hope the dev fix the invalid magisk issue soon, cause i can't use gpay ?
Maybe you just have to use one of the magisk beta builds?
I for example had to use magisk v16.7 for .145 to get root access back and to pass the safety net status.
Google Pay is working for me but my creditcard is currently not supporting google pay.

Safent net issue is not only in honor, most of the device are having the same problem passing Safety net. It is because Google recent update their api so, the dev(magisk) was saying he will look into it.gota wait

what Xposed modules are you using?

I know most of us run magisk but for the few that run both, what modules does Xposed have that you couldn't find in magisk?
For me it's chrome pie (no not 9.0 pie) what about you?
Playing with Gravitybox. It's really best with vanilla android. A lot of the modules are quite old.
Gravitybox, is the only reason I install xposed. It's a general system UI customizer.

Does the systemless Xposed installed through Magisk break it as well?

Possibly not, if flashed through Magisk. But originally it did, by itself.
Sent via open market LG US998 V30/V30+

I was thinking of trying it later. Then just restore a backup if I want to remove it. I want to see what GravityBox can do, even though I know most things won't work with the V30. Can't really think of any other modules I would want and still don't know if Gravitybox alone is worth it. But I kind of just want something new to play with. lol

That's how I had installed it, still broke safetynet.

Well crap. I don't think I need gravitybox that much then.
It won't hurt anything to play around with it. Just uninstall afterwards or restore a backup.

Indeed, I am using Lineage OS, and am unable to get Google Pay to work. Reading through the forum, it seems downgrading Magisk to v17 should work, but I still need to try it.
Anybody who has a working soltuion, who can confirm this for us?
I am on custom rom with magisk 18.0 .Google Pay works using magisk hide and by disabling telephone permissions for Google play services.

Finally had google pay working on LOS latest build.
Anyone out these using it with the barclays uk banking app? Stock or custom?
I'm on havoc OS without root and am able to use all banking apps. (I use phonepe and gpay only)

Does google pay work on Poco after rooting

I'm on stock MIUI 10.2 Pie right now. I wanted to stay on this ROM only since it's pretty stable however wanted root to enable adblocking and viper4android.
I wanted to know, if I could still use Google Pay after root. Is Magisk Hide on latest version able to do that ? Any users from India, please let me know..
Yes but for that you have to turn off 'telephone' permission of google play services

Flash Pixel experience ROM, but don't root it. I mean use it as it is without flashing magisk. Every banking app will work fine.
However, if you want to use magisk hide then-
Phonepe - working
Paytm - working
Bhim - working
Google pay / Tez - not working.
Yes you can use the Tez app after disabling telephone permission. But you will not be able to make any transactions from your side. However, you can receive transactions from other people.

Yes first of all hide the google pay account from Magisk hide. then go to installed app and select show system app from three dotted line on near right status bar and find google play services.
Disable permission of play service on telephone, contact, call logs and then reboot your phone.
Now you can enjoy google pay on your device.:good:

In India, Google pay works with bank IDs called upi rather than NFC.
Yes, use Magisk & then use module MagiskHide Props Config. I used the above method on Xperia XZ & Google Pay worked again, even via NFC.

Would I need such a thing if I can already pass SafetyNet checks?

I'm not too sure on that one, I'm in the same boat with my Pocophone at the moment as it shows that it passed safetynet, but some apps still see that I'm rooted. Give it a try if you have trouble with some apps.
