Have patience dude. This is a mediatek chipset. Unlike Snapdragon chipsets, it takes time to port anything to these devices. Meanwhile, you can try note 8 pros gcam as even it runs the g90t. Won't support all functions, but should work.

actually i'm using a gcam in my realme 6 but it's not fully functional but still it's far better than the stock.The problem with this mod is when u take normal picture the left side of picture getting a black strip but if u take picture at 1.5x it comes out exactly and it still better than the stock camera,,,,,portrait and night sight is working perfectly ,according to my point of view and i'm fine with this hope they will upgrade this to a fully working mod .....download it from here if u wish to try thanks Aj ,,,,i can't share link here as i'm new but u wanna try u can get it via email

yes some funkcions is buggy ur laggy, but photo mod works good
HERE is Gcam for realme 6 and lag fix. but lag fix install is possible only with root. I cant root my rmx2001 model.
but workd better then other Gcam

Front flash is not working, same as other version.
Clear the data of the app, the front flash will start working. Tested on HDR off and HDR+ enchanced.

Working perfect for me in HDR OFF/HDR+/HDR enhance Mode.
I think its depends on the light on your face. When I click selfie in complete dark place, Flash works perfectly. But when I click in Half Dark place, Led Flash not works but ON SCREEN Flash works. and in both case. I get the same picture quality with almost same brightness.

Try the telegram group, you will get various mods of gcam. All the devs maintain different ports for different devices which may or may not work with other devices. Arnova8G2 has the most stable port with multi device functionality

yes but gcam has more settings to tweak , i have not yet play around
I request Miui Camera mod for the Mi 8 Lite specifically.
There is a mod for the Redmi Note 5 that apparently works on the Mi 8 Lite too, but changes several parameters of the build.prop such as the model and the device's code name. When trying to change them the mod stops working correctly and gives an error message (can not connect to the camera)
There is also GCam, but with some bugs and errors.
Anyone who can make a functional port of the Miui camera for this device?

i successfully ported stock Miui Camera to Aosp based custom roms Platina device, for now i need to fix lot of bugs. Cheers

Not working:

Install Pixel Expirience CAF last version, install stock miui camera via Magisk and restart phone, replace vendor/lib libmmcamera_platina_imx576_sunny with this lib from zip and disable Hal3 support in vendor/build.prop and restart again. After this steps Miui front camera will work with 24.8mp, also Instagram, messenger etc will work like charm on 24.8mp ....
What about with Gcam? Without HAL3 enabled, it can't be used. Would there be any way for both cameras to work? Personally, I like both applications very much.
You can open a thread where you go picking up the different revisions of this port, so more people will try it.

For now there is no way to make working both cameras alongside with camera2api and Gcam, another great thing is that I managed to port portrait for back camera and utilize both sensors for depth and main shooter, later I will made thread when i finish my work

It is already in (Google Cam 7.)
It is automatically inside night vision you just have to set the focus to Infinity and than make a Foto. Tada! There is no special button or option for astrophotography.

Just found out that Astrophotography is already on that release. If you are in Night Sight and put your phone somewhere steady (for example on a tripod), it will automatically kick in.

There's only a significant difference, if you put it on a steady holder (and use astrophotography)
I am unable to use portrait mode. Installed Gcam7.0.009 last night. Took few portrait snaps in morning...but now portrait is not working. Pls help.

Recently I got a Xiaomi Mi Mix2 in second hand so I flashed Lineage and wanted a google camera so I started trying a lot of apks of the google camera provided by:

In my case this apk works very well, apart from one slight glitch that I came across, for some reason sometimes when in front facing camera the shutter doesn't take the picture, but if I switch to another mode, for example to portrait, and then go back to the mode that I was in, I can take the picture without any problem.
I don't know if this is necessary but I disabled google play protection to install the app and in developer options I ticked the box "Force GPU rendering for 2D drawing", by doing this I managed to make it work, however you mileage may vary....Try it out at your own will!!!! Thank You to Parrot043.
I use it from 1st version available. It works good on PE 10.
For portrait bug, i have disabled "face retouching" and "advanced Hdr in portrait" and works flawlessy.
I have disabled Motion photo too, cause i don't use it.
Anyway, if you try on Pie, the_dise Gcam 7 has slowmotion at 240fps instead of 120fps. ??? But almost nothing of other modes works. Does not work in Q rom.
Message to devs: Mix up slowmotion of the_dise with camera of Parrot43 !!! Pleaseeee
