hey
i got an Xiaomi Redmi 3(Snapdragon 616 Octa Core model) not note or pro version for my misses cuz i didnt wanna be spending over 500 on a iphone.
basicly she is getting no notifications for apps like viber, snapchat etc most of the time. i checked all the settings and they are all ok.
so figured out its more than likely not the apps.
from googling i seen it could be the battery saver that is the problem. i checked the batery saver and its off. so couldnt be the problem
more googling i found the issue could be the rom. i check the uptime of the apps and realised they wear being stopped/shutdown after using them sometimes and this was the cause of the issue.
my question is how do i stop this from happening? i have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro Prime myself and i do not have this problem. i know my phone if far more powerful but i had a lot of phones with lower spec than hers over the years and never seen this problem before. she has my head wrecked. im caught between getting rid of the misses or getting her an iphone to shut her up.:crying::crying:
now on to the other problem she can't use playstore it comes up something like " cant login "
i did a bit of googling and found the best solution is to delete ur google account and add it again. so i went and tried that but i get an error like "stopped by administrator" so i cant delete the account:crying::crying:
sorry i do not have the phone with me and cant remember exactly what came up
i would be grateful for any help
thanks
Can't login is known issue of certain dev ROMs
Do clean install of stable and U should be fine with Google framework.

what rom would u suggest?
since writing the post i found out this rom is having issues with GPS too.
Any stable from Xiaomi.eu, preferably the latest.
Remember U need unlocked bootloader for it.

sorry for the belated response. I found out that the ROM on this phone was altered by the seller i bought it from and was full of spyware/malware. As a result this ROM was no able to update. So if anyone has this issue and the phone wont update then thats more than likely you have a modded ROM on your phone.
After installing an offical Xiaomi ROM all the issues disappeared and the phone worked perfectly.
I get a xiaomi redmi note 4 from gearbest, 64gb model with Android 6 and miui 8. Start installing apps everything was fine but i got this situation i used an App from the bank i check my account, my shopping, transfers etc. But today my bank Call me to ask me If i make a purchase in arabic saudist wich I don't because i am from Nicaragua and I didn't make any shopping or anykind today.

Your phone could have some malware installed because it might have a fake ROM installed. Go to about phone and show us your MIUI version info
Your device sure has some kinda vendor ROM installed. Try flashing global stable ROM.
Is there a way to bypass the waiting time ?
Last time i unlock bootloader, it was on Mi Max 2, 72 hours to wait.
Xiaomi is ridiculous.
Redmi Note 5 Global, SD636.
Wrong forum. This is SD625, Redmi 5 Plus.
Note 5, 5 Plus, waiting problem is the same.

It depends in the country/area you live, i've unlocked my phone before in less than a day(permission req at night & next morning i got my permission), i'm using the stock cable that came with my Redmi 5 Plus. No 99% stuck, 1 try and poop! 100% success.

I am on globle stable 9.5. location is india. there is a guide there in the forum starting with "No more error 8......" follow it.

I have redmi 5 Plus Global Stable.. I live in india.. Purchased this set last week.. when i tried to unlock it.. it unlocked with in few Seconds..
i dont what happened? how it happened?..
Coz in my previous encounters with mi note 3 and note 4 i waited for one week...
but this time i didint even applied for bootloader unlock.. neither did bind my account..
was curious so entered fastboot mode and used latest miunlock tool.. after the initial login process it unlocked with in seconds..
Its really strange.. but glad it allowed to unlock bootloader without any waiting whatsoever...
ha ha ha.... this is my first xiaomi, and they make me waste my 360 hours to wait just to unlock bootloader..... no more! never buy xiaomi again. I am may be one voice, butfor those who did not buy xiaomi product; think again.... now they implement anti roll back too.... can not downgrade rom. May be tomorrow they will implement DO NOT TOUCH xiaomi, as it may brick the unit :: LOL::
who cares most unlocked is only for os modifications and games i also tried all possible ways to unlock without wait with no luck. anyway flashed beta miui 10 all works fine i enjoy this phone fast and cheap so yes wait timer reset after flash to 320 more hours to go.
I am getting 163h of waiting time. After my first try
Using Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Ai dual Cam (Whyred) with latest Android version 9.0 and latest unlock software provided by Xiaomi.
168 hours for the 3 latest Xiaomi i bought.

The only way you get instant unlock (that only for the fortunate few) is when you have a Mi account already and were using some other Xioami phone connected to that. Then it recognises you as a genuine owner of POCO F1 and allows the unlock. Otherwise, wait for 72 hours.
It's just 3 days man the MI 8 guys have to wait 2 weeks lel

Log out of your current/old Mi Account.
Create a new Mi account (also necessary to associate a phone number with it) and log in with it.
Enable mobile data but disable wifi.
Go to developer options and go to Mi Unlock Status.
It will try to associate your new account with this device. Wait for it and it will give a toast notification that successfully linked.
Go back to developer options.
Enable OEM unlocking.
Press back button.
Click on developer options again and check if OEM unlocking is enabled or disabled.
If disabled, enable it again and repeat step 6 to step 9 till it asks you for your Lockscreen PIN/password.
After you enter PIN/Password, OEM unlocking will stay enabled.
Now try to unlock the bootloader using miunlock tool with new account. Your wait time should be reduced to 72 hours.

There is nothing to explain or doing anything special. When you add the F1 to your existing account, it should immediately allow you to unlock the bootloader. I have not heard of 360 hours. It was about three months to start with and then was gradually reduced by Xioami to 72 hrs.

The product head for Poco F1 Jai Mani said this on Twitter:
" We listened to your feedback on the bootloader unlock issue and have updated the policy for the @PocophoneGlobal F1. Most users should now be able to unlock within 3 days.
Please apply let us know if you are still facing problems
— Jai Mani (@jaimani) September 4, 2018"
Note it says "most users" and not all. So you and some others like you may be the unfortunate ones. Why it happens to you and some others, only Xiaomi alone can tell.
I just requested mine this week for my Mi 8 as I want to test (finally) Xiaomi.eu's MIUI port.
And all by my ignorance that I could do it in less than a month of starting to use it (November 18) but no... For some reason I never connected this particular server, which is different from Mi Cloud, etc. and now I have to wait two weeks and a day to have the approval...
It has reached me today from Aliexpress.
Is there no way to skip that?
No.
Me too. Have to wait 168h

There is solution for unlocking boot loader but I don't think you will try. Because the process I am going to tell will be far difficult than waiting 168hrs.
If you still want to unlock boot loader I want to tell you that you will loose your installed ROM but don't worry if you wish I will also tell how to get the same stock ROM.

Yes my previous phone also need to wait 168 hours.
I Just ordered redmi note 9 pro (wait the shipping process).
At last. I had an hour left and the bas*ard didn't let me.

The main work for bypass the waiting time is very dangerous.
Sorry but the bypass technique is not applicable for all kinds of devices.
It is real that it will brick your device if it is not done properly and may not be right thing to do.
they want you to use the device for at least 7 days bah tu~
dont worry.. play around a bit more
good phone, Redmi Note 9s

Well there was a time where changing the windows time will change the waiting period since time was calculated on device but now its counted in severs . Well try this method, i had did this method of changing dates on 2 devices and on one device 2 times (Redmi 8 and Redmi 7). But this method doesn't work on redmi note 9 pro with miui 12

Please don't leave the 9s to buy OnePlus nord n100. It has a far inferior ptocessor so if you value performance at all you'll skip the n100.

Trying to mess with time might cause your timer to be reset over and over again. Please be patient. One week is not too long considering you'll probably have the phone for years after that.
