I'm trying to get TWRP back onto my Mi 9 SE after installing MIUI 11 from MIUI 10 seemed to remove it
My phone is unlocked
I booted into fastboot using cmd 'adb reboot bootloader' and flashed the twrp.img which said successful
Pwr + Vol up boots into MI-Recovery 3.0 which shows 'Reboot', 'Wipe Data' and 'Connect with MIAssistant'
Pwr + Vol down boots into fastboot with no options to choose
am I doing something wrong?
Thank you

Today i had flashed latest china dev fastboot ROM in Redmi Note 3 SD.
After succesfull flashed i had flashed TWRP 3.0.2-2
Then wiped all & flashed RR N.
Whenever i tap reboot to recovery or reboot to fastboot from power menu, Device starts normally not in recovery or fastboot.
Tried 3-4 times by flashing TWRP via fastboot mode but every time whenever i want to go recovery or fastboot i must have to press vol+ & power or vol- & power simultaniously.
Any Solution...?
Power key + volume up for recovery mode.
Power key + volume down for fastboot mode.
Edit: Sorry, I misread the question. I think it is a ROM problem.
I just installed TWRP, but i don't know how to enter. Power button and volume up brings me to EUI recovery and power button and volume down brings me into bootloader. Maybe a noob question but hey, you've gotta start somewhere.
Thanks for the help
Happened to me too. Did you tick OEM unlocking in developer options? If not, fastboot command will flash twrp with no errors but result is VOL up + power brings you to stock recovery.

You can boot into twrp without flashing it, "adb reboot bootloader" and then "fastboot boot twrp.img" if you have the right twrp recovery image.
Just install the twrp app from store and use it to boot into recovery.

I was trying to root my p20 lite on EMUI 9.1 so I flashed the patched recovery ramdisk, rebooted then typed "adb reboot recovery", but it wouldn't load. So I forcereseted the phone but it came to the same screen "your device has been unlocked" and "Your device is booting now" no options to press power to boot or erecovery. So I tried flashing the original ramdisk but it would still never load, and trying "fastboot reboot bootloader" didn't help either. I can't boot into system I can only go into fastboot mode.
edit: adb detects my device but rebooting into system command still reboots into recovery
edit 2: my phone has bootloader unlocked
edit 3: here is the phone log https://drive.google.com/file/d/19MNYSdI5gkzlAti2wVhsGuc8v6iAWaG6/view?usp=sharing
Connect phone to charger
Press and hold power button only
Keep it pressed till phone boots into 3 option scream, 1 press vol up 3 sec for e recovery, 2 press power to enter system, 3 do nothing 5 sec
Release power button, wait
Shoulda enter e recovery
Press reboot and wait
Shoulda reboot to system, root will not work, but phone will work
If want to start with root, you need to relfash system using dload package or hisuite update, otherwise your phone still will be stucked , so need fresh system files
I don’t get the three options. Only the your device is booting now. Rebooting via adb just reboots into the same thing.
edit: let the battery drain and now it is working again
Same, loading screen but nothing.
I unlocked the tablet and installed successfully TWRP on my Xiaomi Mi Pad 4.
But when I reboot it with volume down and power it always goes into smartboot.
Only way to go to TWRP is from console Fastboot boot twrp.img, but it does not always work
How can i boot directly into TWRP ?
Thanks.
You press the wrong key. To access recovery, you must hold Volume up + Power.
I unlocked the bootloader and flashed vbmeta but without --disable-verify option in fastboot and now my phone is stuck on a boot loop. I cannot boot into recovery either. I could power it off by pressing all buttons.

I'm an owner of realme V5 5G (bootloader unlocked). Mine can be in fastbootd (UI recovery) mode from bootloader. Hold "Vol. down button + Power button" until into bootloader (fastboot mode) from power off state. Then connect USB cable to your phone:
fastboot erase boot # clear the wrong boot partition
fastboot reboot fastboot # go into fastbootd (UI recovery) mode
fastboot erase system # if you flashed a custom GSI, clear system partition
use "wipe data" (UI recovery) # format data partition (not only wipe)
use "Install from storage" (UI recovery) # you can use a USB OTG memory filled with a stock OZIP file
I think you could recover yours to its original stock state because V5 5G is rebranded to 7 5G. (However, probably you could stop the bootloop if you flash only stock boot.img by fastboot)

I can't get into fastboot mode no matter what key combination I press. It keeps bootlooing. I keep checking on my mac with fastboot devices command but nothing appears.

In my case, by keeping "Vol. up button + power button" together pressed during bootlooping, my phone will go into power off state. Then hold "Vol. down button + power button" together until going into fastboot mode (bootloader).
