[Q] Too many pattern attempts - LOCKED

Hello everyone.
Today I left my phone (galaxy S2) in my cousin's hand, and he tried to unclock my screen lock pattern. After too many attempts, my phone got lcoked and it asked me to sign in using my google account. I did so, and the phone got unlocked.
But when I press the lock button, or the phone gets locked automatically and I press the lock button to unlock it, the "too many pattern attempts" screen comes back again. Also my sim card is not being detected even though its there.
I have tried rebooting the phone, disabling the screen lock patten in security settings, disabling google account. Nothing has helped so far!
When you disabled the screen lock setting, what happens? You could try booting into recovery and wiping cache. If that doesn't work, then you'll probably have to factory reset.
When I disable it, nothing happens, as in it shows that it is disabled on the security settings. But when I press the lock button, the too many attempts screens comes back again. I tried a fctory reset too. Its still there! This is so frustrating!
Flashing a new rom should do the trick.
No you don't have to Flash
Try this please:
It was all about this "Two-Step Verification" security of google!
I tried everything... and I mean EVERYTHING (except flashing my XooM), but at the edge of giving up, I signed into my google account and issued an "Application Specific Password" for Xoom from my Google account.
I used my [email protected] with that Application Specific Password and it worked. (do not enter spaces in the password)
There is one solution
Hello,
I had similar problem with my Motorola Xoom WiFi. My friends was playing with my tablet and they was trying to guess my login pattern. Unfortunately sign in via Google account did not worked and WiFi network was turned off. So I was looking for way how to unlock it without root access.
Finally I found it. I wrote an application which turns on WiFi. It is quite simple. There is one requirement, you have to have enabled debuge mode. After installing app via IDE (eg. Eclipse) WiFi is connected to known network and you can log in with your Google account. There is also possibility to set network parameters in app code before compilation.
I hope this helps someone with this problem. At the end I want apologize for my poor english

Sometimes simple is best. If you saved the rom, go into recovery and restore the saved rom.

[Q] Bypass Pattern Lock

First of all, I know this has been posted before regarding other devices, but I couldn't find anything about this phone.
Here's the deal, my friend passed away on Friday night, and suicide was highly suspected. His parents very much want to be able to unlock his phone and find any reasons that may point to suicide. They have exhausted all of the pattern lock attempts possible, so now it's stuck at the recovery option.
The phone is definitely on stock, and most likely hasn't been rooted. When I try to unlock it, I can see the actual homescreen in the background before the password recovery screen pops up. The phone is still active, so I can call it and text it if that can help bypass the lock screen in any way.
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Wellp, none of the glitch methods I found online seemed to work. But I did manage to get into the phone.
I realized that Firefox/Chrome/Whatever will probably have his password for gmail saved. So his parents let me on his laptop and I managed to find his gmail password in the saved passwords and reset his pattern lock.

Can't disable screen lock on samsung-stang5litre edition 5.0 password

Hello,
I'm pretty good at computers but when it comes to phones I'm a dummy. I set a password in my Galaxy S5 running samsung-stang5litre edition 5.0 I just bought this phone and it had this ROM installed. I looked up instructions online for this phone to remove it (settings are not working or showing for this ROM) for this phone model and there are no instructions for this ROM. How do I remove the password or do I have to reset this phone ? If I reset the phone will it still ask for the password ? The person who sold me this phone also changed how this ROM looks and deleted almost every program out of it before I bought it. Please help me.
Found help
Since no one answered back I contacted someone to help me. I'd have never figured this out by myself. I'm so glad for his help. This is what worked.
What you have to do to remove that pin, go to Settings>Lock Screen> Screen Lock> Pattern> Setup any pattern, then setup Pin Code with it after you setup the Pattern. (You already have a Pin set in, just use it). It will ask you to type it in twice.
Now Power Off and Power On the phone it will ask for the pattern, do 5 to 6 wrong patterns, it might time you out for 30 seconds after that, on the bottom right of the phone it will say "use your Pin Code", hit that button, type in the Pin which you already setup while you were setting up your pattern, then use that Pin Code to unlock the phone. Now Power Off and Power On the phone, you shouldn't have any pin or pattern code to unlock anymore.
This worked for me.

Unlock Redmi Note 4 without losing data

Hi!
I had put a password on my Redmi Note 4 so my son doesn't play games on it. I usually use fingerprint or text password which I remember. However, I'm not sure what password I entered and now I've forgotten it. Now as the phone starts it is asking for the password and now it is locked. I can send some pictures of the screen for your reference (do advise how i can send these). When I try forgot password it just prompts me to the screen saying data will be erased etc...
I have important documents, ebooks, pictures and contacts on the phone which I need. Please advise if there is some way by which I can unlock the phone or at least backup all the data on the phone and then erase it.
Your help will be much appreciated.
Best regards,
Sudeep
Starting with Android 5 Lollipop there’s no built-in way to simply reset your pattern, PIN, or password and gain access to your phone or tablet. This does help provide additional protection to your data, attackers have no way of bypassing the passcode unless they actually know it.
The one and only possible solution to unlock: If you've set up Smart Lock on your phone and have it automatically log in when it’s on your home Wi-Fi then you can take your phone to that home Wi-FI network and it will automatically unlock for you, even if you can’t remember the normal unlock code.
If the phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and older it has an integrated way to bypass your pattern, PIN, or other password if you forget it. To find this feature, first enter an incorrect pattern or PIN five times at the lock screen. You’ll see a “Forgot pattern,” “forgot PIN,” or “forgot password” button appear. Tap it. You’ll be prompted to enter the username and password of the Google account associated with your Android device.

Is Huawei pattern lock broken?

I put a pattern lock on my phone and immediately forgot it, so im locked out of my phone. I read on the internet that there should be an option to reset the password by providing the google account information, but this doesnt show up. I must have entered my password almost 20 times and now it makes me wait an hour each time I want to enter a new pattern and only gives me 3 tries before making me wait an hour. But I see no option to reset my pattern.
I found another site that said go to google findmyphone and lock the phone and it will eventually give me access if I enter my account information. So I went to findmyphone on google and there were 3 options, 1. Make noise, 2. Secure Phone, and 3. Factory Reset Phone. So I clicked on 2 to secure the phone, but I think it logged the phone out of google and now google findmyphone says "can't reach device", wtf????
My question is this:
Is Huawei pattern lock broken since it doesnt have the option to reset password or are all android phone like this?
Because the only options I see are to enter my pattern, to make an emergency call, or to go back. There is no reset/recover password option
google says my phone is Huawei Nova. Apparently the model is was-al00. The phone had Android 8.0 and it was up to date with security updates.
I did multiple searches trying to find more information about this but couldnt find anything. I did find an xda thread about someone who forgot their pattern and also forgot their google account information but that was from 5 years ago https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lock-pattern-recovery-email-huawei-y360.3226967/. Maybe the sanctions america put on Huawei have something to do with this?
Hey there! Have you found the solution?
