How to develop and write patches to android 5.0.2 and lineage os 14.1 for samsung a3

Hello,
I am new to android development. How do I get the source code for my specific device SM-A300H and write a patch for it.I want to enable "in band ringtones" for my phone and found some source code here:
android-review.googlesource.com/#/c/333111/
So in an attempt to enable inband I flashed my galaxy a3 with lineage OS- android 7.1.2 (I can roll back to 5.0.2 ROM if needed). So how do I write patches on android and do custom builds. It appears that Lineage OS code if fully based on java and the stock android code I found in the above link has some .cc files. I have basic programming experience in windows (little linux as well). Someone please guide me, I want to learn this.

Did anyone tried the Project Treble Android 10 GSI ROM on Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018)?

There is a Custom Android 10 GSI available for basically all Treble-Supported devices out there, including Galaxy J6 (2018), here's a post from xda: https://www.xda-developers.com/android-10-custom-gsi-project-treble/
The topic says its running on Galaxy J6, the question is, did anyone tried it? How stable it is? Is there any bugs in it, etc.? Just curious. :fingers-crossed:

I want best method for porting any roms to any device

I am a beginner in porting roms field and I want the easiest way for beginners to port any custom rom for any device.
The latest update for my device is Android 5.1.1 and it is obsolote. I know that the most appropriate solution is to buy a new phone, but I want to make a port Android 10+ from any custom ROM for my device, not to save money, but I want to enter this field because I am interested in it and also to share this Method on my YouTube channel.
I have stock rom Android 5.1.1 and I want to port for example DotOS 5, Lineage 17, BlissOS 13, Arrow OS 8 or etc... and thanks in advance
Not possible. It's too old to be upgraded to this version. I got my Samsung Galaxy J2 2016 upto Android 7.1.2 from Android 5 and then 6 (after support end).

resurrection remix i9300 android 8/9/10 available?

the latest official rrr version for the i9300 is listed on sourceforge as RR-N-v5.8.5-20171217-i9300-Final.zip which is android 7.
ive seen some mentions on further version of android 8/9/10 for rrr but they seem hard to find or have been removed.
officially i9300 support has been dropped.
are there links on any of these other versions out there?
at best im looking for the ones that are official, non-alpha and non-beta, but also unofficial or beta would do.
theres one mention on getdroidtips of a rrr nougat 2 but the link is dead:
