Thanks greatly to @ripiad, he shared me the new revision EEA MP6 and I uploaded those(full update & boot image) at here.
Strangely, only global version(OS00MP6) is mentioned at the official forum and no mention for global EEA(OS01MP6). No announcement for new revision neither. I don't know why and just take into account.

Thanks for this important post.
I'm rooted in SMP5, and i'd like to update to SMP6. Just to confirm, The steps to update should be:
1- Flash again stock boot for SMP5
2-Update to SMP6 via OTA
3- Patch stock boot image SMP6 with Magisk Manager
4- Flash patched SMP6 boot image
5- reboot
Is this approach recommended?
Thanks

Yes, you can do that without reset. it will ask you to reboot after step 2 to change the slot.

Have you tried downgrading to MP3?
OTA differs from each other, one can have 400 MB and the other 1.5 GB. Which of them can you call a full-fledged recovery ?
Thank you

Hi.
The last couple days, I unlocked my bootloader to install the phh-treble rom and experiment with this phone but the *unlocked bootloader* message every time that I power up my phone, is very annoying.
So I ask if anyone knows which firmware to install to my phone so I can lock the bl and receive otas as normal
Thanks

It's just a guess, but i think that you should flash an original "system. img" with fastboot and then reset you device.
You can use Huawei Unpacker to get your system.img from a FullOTA firmware (you can download it with Firmware Finder).

When you go to recovery now, is it Huawei recovery or some aosp recovery?
If Huawei you should be able to use that same guide to go back to stock. You just need to download the Firmware your phone came with (Ex. L29 C432), then update using the guide. Or you could rebrand and install fw.

It is the Huawei recovery but the weird thing is that it flashes another recovery and kernel before at the fastboot mode.
Anyhow, I just wonder, if I go back to the 127 (following the method above) which is verified thru IMEI, will I be able to get OTAs?
Or
Which is the correct method of restoring the full stock rom in order to have OTAs and lock the BL

Yes, you will get OTA.
If you install a full firmware everything will be replaced (though you can keep bootloader unlocked, but you're asked when you run repack so select yes ("Lock bootloader?").
The "correct" ways would be: HWOTA8, Dload (if available for your firmware), FunkyHuawei (paid).

It shouldn't. And it works again with root. Apparently something broke in SEPolicy, but mankindtw fixed it in his pre-rooted ramdisk. Though, we can install Magisk "normally" now (as a package through recovery) so it shouldn't be a problem anyway SuperSU should install in a similar way too, if one would take the time to make it. I prefer Magisk though

Have you flashed Magisk via TWRP or patching the boot image?
Because I want to keep OTA Update but patching and flashing the boot.img of the 10.2.22 above, nothing happens (the patched image is just 40MB while the original one is 130)

I've only patched the boot image, and it's 40mb as well, but it's OK, everything is working normally. I believe that 90mb of that boot image is just garbage or bootloader protection.

So there's something wrong with the way I flash the patched boot image, because after reboot when I open Magisk it says that it's not installed.
This is my first phone with fastboot (had Samsung previously) but everything went smoothly.. I will retry tomorrow.
About the corrupted zip, I also have this issue. Today I updated to 10.2.22 AND unlocked bootloader, so I don't know which one of the 2 is causing it. Maybe bad zip in xiaomi servers, maybe xiaomi not giving right rom to who has bootloader unlocked.

About maintaing root with an OTA. I assume you are talking about installing it via TWRP right? And when you say don't reboot (step 3) you mean after installing the OTA right? Also the option on step 5 will it be availble in the TWRP when I will try to flask magisk?
Thanks a lot
Edit - I use the TWRP from wzsx150 and I am on the 9.7.27 developer rom from xiaomi.eu

The process mentioned in OP doesn't require TWRP, the option 5 will be available in the magisk manager itself!
If you're a advanced user and have flashed TWRP you do not need to follow this method, just flash the magisk zip and you're ready to go!

Once you install the OTA and reboot you will lose TWRP as it will be replaced by the stock recovery!
Simply flash TWRP back and flash the magisk zip and you should be good to go!

Yes you'll lose your data during the bootloader unlock process, best way would be to backup all of your data on your PC first.
The only precaution is that you should be on Indian Firmware 10.3.3!

Great work! I cannot fully install magisk as I get bootloop everytime I install the zip in the manager (then have to wipe data etc). Im assuming this way I can say goodbye to TWRP and have a fully functional magisk
However, this would also work on chinese phone flashed with Indian/Global ROM yes?
Hi,
I've on my Mi A3 installed last month 11.0.7.0. And I have Root and TWRP as well.
Now, I would like to update to the V11.0.11.0 just released without losing any data (as a normal update more or less), but I can't find the download for the Full OTA zip or the Fastboot rom.
I'll then try to follow this guide to update: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/how-to/guide-failed-ota-update-installation-t4041291
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any guide to do the update keeping TWRP but, hopefully, it won't erase all the data
If you have the OTA zip or the Fastboot Rom, could you point me to them?
Plus, if someone has some suggestion to do this kind of update, it's very welcome
In years of updating custom rooms, I never felt like today that, with an official rom, I would brick the phone with ahahah

Hey,

This way it will be easier to find for future people to follow.
hi, i couldn't find a stock boot.img so far. seems we will have to wait some more time to be able to download latest firmware as full rom to get the boot.img, which we can then patch with magisk.
eagerly waiting for it, as i cannot hide my unlocked bootloader so far and some apps refuse to work now (also safetynet check fails)

My reply was confusing, and I wasn't actually replying to you. Sorry about that. I don't know how or where to download the boot.img.
I am trying to ask the community if we need to factory reset again when we flash the patched boot.img. Or if the reset we did during unlock is the only reset needed.

unlocking the bootloader means to do a reset. flashing the boot.img does not cause a reset.
you just have root and working magisk after flashing and reboot

HofaTheRipper said:
I am not respondible if you brick your device as there is no full rom download to revert all this.
i have done this:
- installed magisk on the phone and transfered the attached boot.img to the phone.
- patched it with magisk and transfered it to pc
Flashing:
- Unlock bootloader
- Reboot into bootloader
- Download https://dl.google.com/developers/android/qt/images/gsi/vbmeta.img
- `fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img`
- `fastboot flash boot magisk_patched_boot.img`
rebootet and root worked but wifi/bt was broken due some version conflict
Fix for wifi/bt for me was:
- unpack vendor.xz
- reboot to bootloader
- `fastboot reboot fastboot`
- `fastboot flash vendor vendor`
- reboot
My Build Version is DN2103_11_A.08.
