That's just an app, It should work on all ROMS AFAIK...
Anyway, I'm currently on MARKOX89 builds on CM12.1, It's in the development section...
In this way you post a link http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/rom-cyanogenmod-11-t2686887.
I tested that rom with that apk, rezult = same problem on call record , only mic record function.
Please post people who know what they're talking, patch for rom ...

Due to legal issues non of the major roms, like CM, will provide this. Never.
I believe @Lysergic Acid has provided somewhere instructions - which build keys should be modified in order to get this functionality.
Oh cmon what legal reasons? NSA, Facebook, Twitter, cars with Android ect spies people everywhere.
This is crap, I want to record conversation and I am not allowed? WTF?
Can you pinpoint what needs to be changed to enable this function in "2-way recording"?

Well, I'm not sure that what can be done here, but a logcat could be a nice start, to draw attention of experienced users and developers.
1. enable USB debug
2. enable MTP mode
3. attach the phone to the PC
4. locate adb.exe
5. execute "adb logcat -v long >A:\logs\myLog.txt"
6. try to trigger the issue
7. wait about 10 seconds
8. press 'Ctrl + C' in the command prompt to finish log capture

Np, mate. As for the recording direction (line, mic, both...) - I believe that CM have not implemented all the possible options, although I haven't seen their code. I can suggest you to try out beta/trial versions of 3rd party apps like CallRecorder by skvalex, or Automatic Call Recorder by Appliqato. This @skvalex guy did a very extensive research on the subject, but I'm pretty sure, that only 2.3 official stock rom was properly handled by his app. Since android 4.0+ is missing some necessary audio driver, I believe it will be a real headache, if possible at all (speaking of 2-way call recording).
JavaScout
CallRecorder by skvalex and Automatic Call Recorder by Appliqato, working ok only on android 4.2.1 . On android 5.xx only mic record line not crash.
I will summarize here for other people who are going to meet this problem, for others who want to call record on android 5 xx.
For starters it is possible to record only and only " Microphone audio source - Constant Value: 1 (0x00000001) " you can not record "Voice call uplink + downlink audio source Constant Value: 4 (0x00000004)".
I will go back to stock rom android 4.2.1 where everything goes perfectly on call record, perhaps android 6 will go ok, I will began testing over 6 months after developers will work at it .
Here are all the steps for installation android 5.1.1, I chose stable version :
i9100 snapshot Download : cm-12.1-20151116-SNAPSHOT-YOG7DAO1JN-i9100.zip (225.63 MB)
sha1: 45c131baf7f28a073807881e6f8a8d0e07eac381 2015-11-16 23:08:33
- xposed-v79.0-sdk22-arm-custom-build-by-wanam-20151217.zip this is for Samsung device, the sdk of the rom " sdk22 "
Installation it is made from your cwm, install zip file and reboot
- XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk , after installation open and go to "Download" and searching what it is in my picture " 1 ", both work well, you can choose one of them... after install and enable please reboot your device.
Ps. You can register phone numbers starting with * ( thanks to JavaScout for help )

No need to flash any firmware. Edit the status of persist.audio.fluence.voicecall in buildprop to 'false' and reboot your device.

Could you explain what purpose does persist.audio.fluence.voicecall serve?
I see that changing it may solve the no-sound problem, but there's probably a reason it was initially set to "true". i'm curious because setting it to "false" may introduce problems somewhere else.

This line is for the noise cancellation in the device. But due to a bug, the device assumed all noise as background noise and blocked the sound. Setting it to false disables the noise cancellation.
Hi I just recently installed lineage os 16 and did change "true" to "false" but I still cannot hear from any voice calls

App to activate call recording on Android 9

Hello everyone, I leave the app to activate the native call recorder in the P30 Normal, it is just download, install and enjoy.
When you install the application, it removes the calendar icon from the dial and activates the recorder icon.
Calls are viewed in the same recorder application and files are stored in internal memory in the Sounds / CallRecord folder.
I leave the download link and captures that it works.

I am on MIUI Global 12.0.3.0 Stable and I am also missing the recording option. I wonder if it has something to do with the region we choose. I choose an E.U. country.

I set the region to Costa Rica and has the option
Auto call recording now plays the message that ....
This call is being recorded.
Any solution to this... That it should record without playing the message
Someone told me in a Telegram channel - Indonesia version Rom has Miui Dialer built in. So, the recording option is supposed to be there.
I'm on Global Rom 12.0.7.0. Waiting for my phone to be unlocked by Xiaomi. After that I'll flash Indonesian Global Rom.
Hope this helps.
Update:
In Global Rom version - 12.0.9.0, there seems to be a call recording option present (just like the Screenshot attached by @arpcpro above).
Firstly, it announces in your language - the call is recording (annoying). and secondly, it is buggy. Not confirmed where you would find the recording file (if it works).
Hi,
Is there on custom ROMs this option set to default ?
Here in global version 12.0.3.0 RKGEUXM, I discover it was missing.

Question In built call recording function?

Hello,
Is a way to get the call recording function on my phone? I installed the Voice recorder app, from galaxy store, when I called Samsung.
Tested it out only to find that I do not have that function, Voice Recorder app and screen do not record when on the phone with someone.
Is this possible to do without rooting my phone or flashing stock ROMs?
Thank you!
Due to the policies of Google, any third-party application won't work.
You have to root or flash stock ROM with built-in call recorder.

The call recording is built in for specific regions. You just have to switch to a different region (you may lose some of your own region's functionality)
