Read the installation instructions I wrote every where I posted it. No need to rewrite them here.
For instance, see bottom of Post #1 of this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/h930-lg-v30-european-market-t3951898
IGNORE that it's for EU H930 Pie KDZ. What I am pointing you to are the dual boot LGUP instructions. Read those. Bottom of post #1.

You need stock Pie to run any LOS-17 ROMs like Havoc 3.X. You cannot boot LOS-17 ROMs from stock Oreo or if you manage to succeed they will be messed up.
This is all detailed in post #2 of ROOT YOUR V3O! Post #2 is a ADVICE ABOUT CUSTOM ROMs. You read this if you used the WTF Instructions. At least you were supposed to go read it...

hello there to all experts,
I read a lot and did not find 100% satisfactorily answer anywhere about downgrading android from Oreo to nougat via flashing Nougat firmware with help of SP Flash Tool.
Actually i have lenovo k8 Plus 3 GB variant. Unfortunately i upgraded it to Oreo vi OTA update but after that facing a lot problems. I have done flash while once i stuck in boot loop in nougat so i have all working firmware and drivers and sp flash tool too.
but when i looked in videos on you-tube and comment of users 99/100 told that their phone did not boot after flashing firmware and to make phone working again they had to flash Oreo again. some experts told that oreo support project treble so partition scheme has lil bit changed. some user says its boot loader is different and tht's y device did not turn on after downgrade. some says firmware should be of binary 2 boot-loader.
In short m not getting perfect technical answer . is there any technical reason behind downgrading Oreo to nougat or i can do it.
plz make it clear.:silly:
First reason couldn't be correct. because, project treble hasn't enabled even after Oreo update.
Hi fellas.
I bought a second hand oneplus but it came with Hydrogen (it's the Chinese version). I have searched ways to flash a international rom (oxígen), but seems not doable. I downloaded the latest oxígen version and tried doing a manual update but it says that since my os version is higher, it cannot downgrade an older rom.
Do you know any workaround? Just want to get rid of all the Chinese bloatware and have a clean rom.

To change to oxygen from hydrogen make sure the oxygen build is newer than the hydrogen rom you are running. (The updater will not install an older build dates firmware) Ex don't update hydrogen rom then when the full update zip for ixgen is up on oxygen updater app. Download then put the zip in the root of sdcard storage. Navigate to settings update press the 3 dot menu button in the corner then select local update pick the zip you downloaded it will flash the oxygen rom if it fails the first time repeat the process in the settings updater app. If you want it on both slots after it installs and reboots repeat the process again
I have an hd1910 running oxygen os
The other option is to use the msm tool for international varient, but I did not change that way

Stock Android 9 here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development/us998-lg-v30-us998-us99830a000704-kdz-t3952256
If you use LOS-17 based ROM (Android 10) you need stock Pie as base. V30 LOS-17 needs LG stock Pie blobs (drivers).

Yes, I keep my threads updated. But it's not necessarily post #1 you need to worry about. Read the upgrade instructions top of post #2 and also post #6. Some people have issues updating to wonky US998 Pie. So, we have workarounds.
If you are going to install a custom ROM afterwards, you need unlocked bootloader. So, don't update to Pie before doing that, since the first step you need for unlocked bootloader is to (temporarily) be on early Oreo. For US998, that means US998 20a or 20b.
If you are still on US998 20h, from earlier post, your first step would be to temporarily downgrade to US998 20a or 20b. See the WTF Instructions. Read them in a web browser, not an app. Apps like Tapatalk or XDA tend to truncate sections of very long posts like that.
AFTER that, then you can update to Pie blobs (drivers) and then install LOS-17 based ROMs. You only stay on early Oreo just long enough to unlock bootloader and install TWRP, etc. But you need to update to stock Pie firmware (either KDZ or TWRP-flashable zip) to then install LOS-17 based ROMs.
Is it still

Is it still good to go to android version 9? Or is 10 more appropriate for my wife's LGV30+?
Hi from Sicily. With the unlock bootloader and TWRP I tried to install different Custom roms from Android 8 to 12.1 always encountering different problems (Dac HiFi missing, camera freezing, etc.). Desperate, I then reinstalled with LGUP the last available Oreo Stock Rom (H93022j_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0403.kdz) and found problems with the Camera "is not responding". So supplicant I ask you: is it possible to solve the problem of the Camera in the Stock? And better: what's a Custom (from 8 to 12.1) that works really well, with all the main functions (HiFi Dac, Camera, WiFi) like the Stock? Or, even a Custom that works with some small problems but solvable. Thanks in advance and sorry for my English. Claudio

When installing custom ROMs (Pie and above) to go back to stock successfully, you often have to first go back to Nougat stock, then update back to last Oreo. We found Pie custom ROMs "break" some stock functions when going back to Oreo.
Thanks, I would never be alone ...
So the step should be:
-H93010f_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0925.kdz (FirstNougatCustom) LGUP_Refurbish
-H93022j_00_OPEN_EU_OP_0403.kdz (LastOreoCustom) LGUP Refurbish
-H93031a_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1105.kdz (PieCustom) LGUP Fota kz.

Hi guys. I need your help, my device is a LG V30 H930 EU.
I tried to install, via TWRP, 3 - 4 roms, after the Reboot the device crashes:
* PixelExperience_Plus_joan-12.1-20220525-1434-UNOFFICIAL.zip.
* lineage-20.0-20230117-UNOFFICIAL-joan.zip and others.
Is there something I don't know to make sure that these roms don't block my device after Reboot...???
Maybe I have to try with other roms Android 12 and 13 ( no JOAN )...???
If yes, could you link me some Android 12 and 13 roms...???
Thanks to those who help me.

Did you follow the install directions very carefully?
Before you installed them, were you on stock LG Android 8.0 (Oreo) or 9.0 (Pie)? You need to be on 9.0 (Pie) before installing Android 10+ ROMs. Try flashing stock LG Pie and starting over again. I think that this is the post that you need:

@ChazzMatt, perhaps you might care to update your guide. Some users, especially non-English speakers like Pisolo, might read that you need stock 9/Pie before installing A10/LOS17 ROMs and assume that it doesn't apply to them because they're installing A13/LOS20. Just a thought.
