Hello, is there any way to fix the electronic image stabilization on Android 10 April patch? The update seems stable but I really need the eis feature. Maybe any way with adb or any camera app supporting eis like on stock?

Since 5.x or at least the google camera app, is suppose to support camera raw mode (DNG files), does

Hello
I'm trying to enable camera2api on my redmi 3 pro with lineage os 14.1.
I have correctly edited the file build.prop with persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1 but when i try to test with the app "manual camera test" i have the message "your device doesn't support....."
What can i do?
Thanks
Try installing a module for magisk called Camera2Api - it fixed an issue with lack of support in app permissions as for me but there's still a problem with apps that stop working after few tries and you gotta restart your device so it's better to just use FV-5 Camera and rice up the HAL to fake support.
Use freedcam, you can capture RAW

I think what he wants is HDR+ or just the quality of an image improvment.

oh .. i see ...
Snap 616 doesn't have any camera2api/hal3 driver in existence. No way you can use gcam. Not a single rom, even android Q won't help in this situation.

With one custom kernel I managed to get the gcam working on 14.1 so your argument may be false as of HDR+ was supported as well as RAW capture.

If the app launches, it doesn't mean the functionality is working. IDK about raw, but the HDR+ I managed to get in gcam on custom roms was just a regular photo (same quality and same size)
Why just not use HAL Switcher instead?

Hi, will it get Camera2 API support & EIS soon? At least in Android P?
Or can we enable/add Camera2 API support & EIS in the phone?
Maybe it isn't possible if we can root first

Their reply regarding this matter,
As per your inquiry regarding Edge Detection, we have taken your feedback and shared the same with the relevant team so that they can look into your suggestions.
For Camera inquiry, we would like to inform you that your device supports camera 2 API.
Without unlocked bootloader it cant be possible. I heard somewhere that gcam Doesn't work with mtk soc.
hello everyone!!
So i record a lot of videos using the Open Camera app and it is great but the only problem is that it can record a maximum of 30 fps .
I want to get 60 fps videos out of Open Camera app.
Now when i use Gcam to record videos then it allows me to shoot in 60 fps.
So this means that our RN3 is capable of recording 60fps .
It would be great if anyone can help me with this .
Is there any way to get 60 fps in other camera apps???? What should be done to achieve this???
What decides the fps a phone can shoot at??? Can it be tweaked through software????
and yes i have tried it in a lot of rom its same in all of them.
Right now i am using aex noughat rom with stock kernel.
not sure but might be related to camera2 api.
Having used the gcam app for almost two years on RN3, to this day, I'm still wondering why xiaomi hasn't implemented a 60 fps video recording option in the official miui stock camera app...
I have seen several thread here on xda but still i didnt get any satisfactory answers.
And yeah camera2api is enabled and working in open camera as i has all manual control that camera2api provides!!

Coz for kenzo 60fps is not mentioned in oem spec when officially launched.
So i've recently updated to colorOS 7.1 and i've read that one of the new feaures was that we could now shoot video with the 3 lenses.
I've tested this and in the app i don't see the option to do so , i've set the recoding settings to 1080p and 30fps with no luck , my version is CPH1921EX_11_C.26 ,
Can anyone using the same phone confirm that it is not available?
Is there a setting i'm missing that could turn this function on?
Thanks in advance
In the no 5g version that came with the c.28 update, but It seems that the updates are not the same for both devices so I don't know.
I have the Aussie Reno 5G with build CPH1921AU_11_C.26.
It only uses the top camera to record video with 1x to 5x zoom... If you use the super steady option then it removes any zoom function.
Only one camera is used to film video...
