Unlock OEM option missing in developer options. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I wanted to do a custom rom on my lenovo tab 3 710f . I did a hard reset today. But when I entered the developer options the oem unlock option is unavailable. There is no such option listed.
Please sort it out.

If you enabled the Developer Options and noticed the OEM Unlock there before but can’t find it anymore, it is a possibility that you’ve already enabled OEM Unlock, at which point the feature will most likely disappear from the Developer Options menu.

Cannot Turn on " Enable OEM unlock" option in Developers Option on my T-mobile LG V10
Hi guys, I was trying to Root my T-mobile Lg V-10 but had come to a dead end in the process when my " Enable OEM unlock " option in my phones developers option wouldn't turn on.When i click on the " Enable OEM unlock" option in developers option it guves me a warning " Allow OEM unlocking, WARNING: Device protection features will not work on this device when this setting is turned on." it gives me 2 options enable or cancel, when i click on enable nothing happens and the "Enable OEM unlock" checkbox remains untick.
So due to this when i boot my Lg v10 in fastboot mode it tells me to enable oem unlock in developers option.
So if anybody has got a solution to this problem, i would be really thank full to him for helping me!

Hello Xception,
I've seen this issue before on my son's V10 and the only way that I managed to fix it was to use the LG Bridge tool to reload the latest Android version (reset the phone) on it then attempt to enable the OEM unlock option again. Keep in mind you will lost all data on the phone unless you make a backup first. This is what worked for me so I can't really guarantee that it will work for you but it is worth a try.

How can i disable OEM Unlock on my J600FN without bricking it?

Hello, i hope this is the right place to post on.
So, from the last post i made, i rooted my phone, and bricked it again. So i flashed the stock firmware. Everything is just fine,
but is there a way to disable OEM Unlock without bricking the phone again? Or it can never be disabled?
Hi dushDJ, first you have to enable developer mode. This can be done by going to settings>info device>softwareinfo> and then click on the buildnumber until it says developer mode enabled.
Then go back to the main page of settings and click on developer options. Search for oem unlocking now click on it and type your password.
That should do it.

FRP lock

Hi, so I've recently wanted to play a bit with openkirin and found out that after entering fastboot mode I have bootloader unlocked and FRP locked.
I'm on BLA-L29C432 9.0.0.197 (C432E4R1P11).
How can I unlock FRP? Any free method or my only hope is DC or FH?
EDIT: OMG all I had to do is to enter developer menu-> and enable OEM unlock.
Can't believe I wasted half day for this...

Not that this is an issue for you, but for others looking at a solution:
Sometimes OEM Unlock in dev menu is greyed out, for me it was enabled again by tapping Reset Default at the bottom of developer options.

Bootloader shows unlocked on starting up but the greyed out OEM unlock is not present

Hello,
I have unlocked the bootloader of my A10 and it says so when booting up. However, the OEM unlocking option in developer settings has dissapeared completely, not even appearing greyed out.
The problem is that I cannot flash TWRP because the phone says it supports only official binaries. What should I do.

I did use that tutorial as well, and after relocking my bootloader to start over again, the OEM Unlocking options isn't even there anymore

How to get OEM Unlock option back?
1. Open the Settings app. Tap on General Management → Date and time.
2. Use the toggle button to disable Automatic date and time.
3. Set date option will be enabled now. Tap on it, and set the date to about 10-20 days earlier.
4. Enable developer options.
4.a Go to your device Settings.
4.b Select ‘About phone’ » tap seven times on ‘Build number’.
└ This will enable Developer options under Settings.
4.c Go back to Settings » scroll down to the bottom and you’ll see Developer options menu.
5. Open developer options (in the Settings app itself), and find the option called ‘Auto update system‘. Use the toggle button to disable it.
6. Now, go back to the main screen of Setting, and then tap on Software update.
7. Disable the option ‘Download updates automatically‘.
8. Tap on ‘Download updates manually‘ option, but it will give you an error because of the wrong date, so it’s fine.
9. Restart the device.
10. Go to Settings > Developer options. The OEM unlock option should be enabled now.

Is what you did?
Otherwise you can try like this:
1. Disable Automatic date and time and set the date back 10 days
2. Restart the phone
3. Set the automatic date, if you are connected to a network, or manually reset it to the correct date
4. Restart the phone
Or you can wait a week and the OEM Unlocking options reappears

You have no problem bro, OEM might be hidden but it's stiched on. Even if you factory reset it it will remain the same. If you insist in finding it, Download a software update or press check for updates then quickly toggle your OEM
