I do not know what to do more.
Symptom: Connect usb cable to pc, no reaction of pc, only charging. Windows 10
Reinstall all the driver several time,
Try maybe 10 different usb cable, nothing.
Try on 2 other pc, nothing (no reaction of pc, no bells) only charging
Also, It do not connect anymore my car, (was functioning properly)

I have usb debugging on,
try install usb, nothing
usb config, charge only, mtp, ptp, nothing
I change the usb board in the redmi, no change, grrrrr

I has been several months I try to enable the usb data transfert without any result.
Suggestion? except to change the phone, I have no more ideas.
But everything else is working properly in the telephone.....

Put phone in fastboot mode.
Download latest kate fastboot rom
http://bigota.d.miui.com/9.3.28/kate_global_images_9.3.28_20190328.0000.00_6.0_global_7f425d08d9.tgz
Extract the downloaded fastboot rom zip.
install and run miflash tool on win64 bit pc
Select "clean flash " option in miflash tool
Flash it
Like I said, I have no possibility to connect any pc. Need to work in the cell, only. I can transfert file via wi-fi only. Thanks

Try to find a replacement Charging Jack PCB and replace it, if it still doesn't work then there's something else causing problem with your device. Also have you tried a different PC?

With the updates i got miui stable version 7.0.22; when i plug it into pc via usb the phone doesn't ask me the usb connection type and it doesn't see the pc connected. It's the same on the pc, it doesn't see any new hardware attached. when i got the phone it had miui 7.0.9 (or 7.0.8 i don't remember) and i tried to connect it to pc, zero problems, i got the folder explorer on my win7 pc. But now it's impossible to do that, the smartphone doesn't see the connection. but it is charging from usb! anyone knows anything?
You can try a different cable. Also, why not update to MIUI 8?

well like the tittle say.my problems is with a verizon variant i just got.for some reason the phone wont connect to pc
installed drivers and still nothing the phone charges fine when connected but the computer wont even see it,i try 3 different computers and nothing move the usb cable a little to see i f theres any sort of sign of connection but nothing..
i think maybe is a hardware issue but just want to try everything before giving up.

Hi, are you using the original USB cable? After you connect the phone to the PC, have you given the PC up to 10 minutes to load the driver that you had previously installed? Depending on various factors it can take 5-10 minutes, and it has to do it all over again for every new/different USB port you try. After 5-10 minutes when you're trying it in Download mode, see what Windows' Device Manager says in the Modem and Port sections. If it lists "LGE..." device then it sees it.
For flashing from a PC, use a USB 2.0 port that comes directly from the PC's motherboard - not a USB 3.x port, and not through a USB hub.
Try rebooting the phone and the PC while they're not connected to each other.

i try all the options that you advise but none works i used 5 different cables one original and the other 4 are samsung original not Chinese clones
i have no idea what to do next

The only other option is to try a different PC.
i did that on 3 pc the same.
the phone works i got recovery and can flash roms but i have to download everything on the phone it self.i wanted to fix it so i can restore tot and start fresh.im about to give up on the issue

Are you on CM? If so, try going into developer options, there is a usb option in there to take it off charge and put it on MTP

My Redmi runs with the Latest Bule Mokee Rom.
Now i have a big problem with the MTP connection...
I'm using Win 10 x64 Pro on my Pc and just cant get Mtp to work.
Already tried out disabling Usb debugging,switching to Ptp mode (Can access internal Dcim folders etc) and back to Mtp but it wont work,Mass Storage works too tough.
In MTP Mode i even see Redmi2 in my Device Manager,but it seems the driver or whatever is broken.
After some google searches i found Drivers,did a Clean install and removed old stuff with Usb deviewer,still no success.
Sorry for my horrible english,but i hope someone can help :fingers-crossed:

I just tried the Original Cable,still the same problem,already plugged it in a other Usb port too.
Right now i have the RMN2 of a friend connected (Stock rom) and it just tries to install drivers.
So it's not Rom or Device related,guess my Win 10 ****ed up some drivers.
The USB port of my Redmi Note 3 (SD) isn't working. I am only able to charge my device via the USB port. When I connect it to PC, the menu (to choose Charging/MTP/.....) doesn't show and my PC shows "USB not recognized". I even can't connect my flash drive via OTG cable. I also tried trying to connect a mouse but it doesn't work.
The problem doesn't end here. Sometimes, the menu shows up occassionally when I connect the phone to PC and then it works absolutely fine. I can transfer files to the phone and even the mouse works. But on reboot, I lose it again.
I tried clean flashing the ROM too but it worked only once.
PS: I'm using Resurrection Remix 2017-03-05 build with Radon kernel.
Don't know if it's the same that happened to me a while back, but I solved it by carefully cleaning the USB port with the SIM extractor (can't remember the name). Hope it works for you too.

I tried to flash the latest TWRP but for some reasons it's messed up. Now I can't enter recovery mode and just wondering if there is a way to re-install it.
I tried to do it via Fastboot mode but my PC(windows 10) can't recognize the phone when in Fastboot mode. I tried several ways(e.g. reinstall USB driver, remove / install driver via device manager, etc.) but no luck.
Any help/suggestion is appreciated.
Try with the original cable. It will work for sure. I had almost the same issue, tried various drivers, etc. Once I've connected the phone with its original cable, it was recognized instantly.
Strange, other people say, the original cable is bad quality??
I would use a different cable but an usb port on the mainboard no a front usb port.
Also i do all the adb und fastboot stuff on a linux machine, it's less struggeling with drivers then.
The original cable still works though, I'm not so sure what bad quality can that be... And yes, I haven't used it in these 3 years more than half of the time. In the past year I was using a 3m Ugreen cable which didn't do the trick for drivers, still working well.
However, with some changes in the kernel or whatsoever, the original cable doesn't charge the phone anymore while connected to the computer, but it ensures a good data transfer.
PS: USB type-C is more complex and not standardized for all manufacturers, which is a bit surprising, but that's it.

you need to format whole phone in oder to be recognized by pc.try first deleting all drivers for x2.go to windows in device manager,reboot pc and reconnect phone to pc by using usb type c cable
thank you for all the recommendations. I will try original cable and other PC using Linux and see if that works.
Update: My windows 10 PC installed the wrong driver when phone is in fastboot mode. Working fine now after deleting it from Device Manager and reinstalling.
