Usually major version update will require user to FORMAT /data partition

It is EU version. It-s very clear on the download page.
I installed using TWRP, easily. I formatted DATA, so I don't know if it is possible to install only by wiping. I recommend to backup using swift backup, and passing the backup to the PC. To avoid some encryption problems, if it happens.
EU version of course already comes with google services and you can flash the latest magisk version after the first boot, it will work.
So far, the battery is the same, maybe better. Can't tell precisely because had lots of video conferences today, so my SOT was only 5 hours (still 20% left), with some gaming and camera tests (gcam, which is working the same way as before).

Can confirm. Dirty flash worked for me as well.
Just had to erase data on a few system apps to make them work. Camera was one of them.
Am I right that there are no Super Wallpapers as well as the new multitasking available yet?

Apps that I use:
Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Browsing (Chrome) and Youtube.
I did not use any battery saving methods. No use of Dark-mode.
Does anyone know how to remove toggles from the control center? In the edit mode, taping all those minuses doesn't do a thing Thanks!

This is Chinese based ROM. Life v.1.2 is ROW. So... No it cannot be flashed over Life v.1.2.

Go to magazine play look for ZipME app. Install that app and with it do a backup to folders /system/etc/mddb and
/system/etc/firmware.
The file creeated is your modem software backup.
Flash your custom ROM and then reflash your modem.

1. Is it safe to flash P780_S308_130814 STOCK FIRMWARE over my existing ROM which is a rooted S227_ROW ?
2. My phone was manufactured in March 2014, i tried to flash some Chinese firmware in the past but some how the phone simply wont boot after that. Any issues whats wrong here ?
3. After installing this ROM does it use internal memory as default or the external SD card as default. If its external then is there a way we can swap them. I have a 8GB version so really don't want to waste the internal memory.

Hi. Answer:
1. it is safe to flash because this chinese ROM i uploaded is flashing with Flash Tool and flash tool will erase your existing ROM. Now because you say that your phone is 8Gb you must find a KK or JB stock ROM for your phone and update till KK last version. What i uploaded is for 4Gb phones.
2. because your phone is made in 03.2014 you must use the new preloader. You will find here. Replace the original preloader with this one and will work.
3. internal memory will be default.
This rom dont have toggle notification shortcut??
Or i miss something on setting??

I've developed my personal custom rom. Italian people can read this article instead of this one.
These are all the features (I hope to remember all of them ) :

Tips:
1) For any problem with notifications open the dialer and call *#*#46360000#*#*. Disable the last voice of menu that will appears. Go to Settings.apk -> Battery -> Smart battery for apps and select all the apps of wich you want to receive notification. Now come back and select Align Wake-up and disable Align Wake-up voice. Now come back to the first Settings.apk page and select Permissions. Go to "You have allowed x apps to auto launch" voice and choose the same apps you have choose in smart battery menu. Done
2) Choose USA region to remove yellowpage's tab in phone and contacts and allow icons in notifications.
3) To enable Face recognition go to Settings.apk -> Security centre and set a screen lock. Now go to Smart Lock, insert your pattern/code/password and choose Trusted face then SET-UP, NEXT and memorize your face. To better unlock your phone memorize your face in different light's conditions.
4) For problem with camera go in camera's settings, scroll down to Use Camera2 API and enable it.
5) To pass CTS Profile in Magisk boot one time then use the universalsafetynetfix in download.
6) If u have problem with OTA updater clear app's download history, force close it, clear app's data and then reopen it.
The rom has been tested on my x829 6/128Gb and a x820 6/64Gb too. I granted that it's stable but I'm not responsible for any problems to your phone. Flash at your own risk.
How to install?
I advice to do a complete clean install. To do this go to twrp -> wipe -> advanced wipe -> select cache,dalvik,system,data and internal storage. First time I do also format data but isn't necessary. Now go to Advanced -> Adb sideload and check all the voices. Download rom's zip on pc. Now go to adb and fastboot drivers' folder and click right mouse's button + shift on an empty part of the folder. Choose open command line here or something like that from showed menu. Now write adb sideload and drag rom's zip on the window. For Windows 10 put ./ before adb command. On the phone do swipe. Wait some seconds and push enter on pc. If you're italian and want to install by conventional mode check this.

INSTALLATION MODE:
- guard the rom in an external memory.
- turn off the cell phone press the plus and power buttons until you have the TWRP window
- Press WIPE
- Press FORMAT DATA
- Write the word "yes" without quotes and accept, just do the work
- Press BACK to go back several times to the main window.
- Press WIPE, then ADVANCE WIPE
- verify that the partition DATA this in the f2fs extension
- mark: Dalvik, cache, data, internal storage, system
- IMPORTANT !: do not mark "micro sdcard".
- once you have marked, slide the "swipe to wipe" arrow to clear it.
- go back to the main sale, press INSTALL
- press SELECT STORAGE
- Switch to Micro SDCard to find the rom.
- Look for the SiriuZ rom and flash
- At the end of the installation press "wipe davilk-cache", wait for it to finish.
- reboot system.
- congratulations now will start the rom SiriuZ

First emui mod rom for honor 7x.. Time to at last start flashing..
Installing now, this looks badass.
Would not boot so went back to stock, been a few minutes and still has not booted.
Ok just took a little longer to boot, so far so good.

how do i remove the boot animation sound?
Some display problem in this rom
The camera application is not displayed properly (large black borders are displayed at the top and the image is distorted).
When you start a game in landscape mode a black strip appears on the left.
I hope a quick fix!

bruh... black bars are normal at this point, deal with it... the reason for it is because we have 18:9 aspect ratio while pretty much 99% of all apps and media are in 16:9 ratio.

You don't understand isn't normal x) exemple on stock rom I don't have black bar on YouTube but on this rom I've..
When I back to my home I will give you a screenshot of the problem
Fresh install and using MorfuZ selinux kernel.. Phone is running at a crawl. Slow to respond to taps and opening apps

Screen of the problem (the blackbar appear only in landscape mod)
Rom is good and working properly... volte support was not found... Bugs in file manager(force closes when trying to copy something from sd card ) ... Heavy lag and touch issues when morfuz kernel was used..
Works perfectly with stock kernel...
volte support was obtained only after flashing version.img from emui stock oreo rom using twrp...

huh, i have no issues at all with the morfuz kernel, and file manager does not force close when copying stuff to sd card.

reboot. on first boot it was buggy and glitched out.

It's closed china beta rom, I don't know if it's possible to install it...

i was able to install it via twrp. you could select ENGLISH as language. so far so good.
for k20/ davinciIN/ indian version.
download zip
open updater script in meta inf> google folder and delete the first two lines
repack zip and you would be able to flash it
make sure you uncheck the zip verification in twrp settings while flashin.

I was on Mi-Globe, and i did this:
Reboot to twrp;
wipe dalvik
wipe cache
wipe system
wipe data
Flash rom
Not need to format data if you don't want to loose your data, but a clean flash is always a good idea.

How do I install the new version from OrangeFox recovery without blocking the bootloader or losing the custom recovery, I have some fear I already tried to do so and the terminal ended up dead and disabled.
The same you have said before but some quick installation instructions and I want to know if I install this new version with a modified recovery, can I install magisk so as not to lose it?

It does not come with google services but you can get the apk GoogleInstaller and it does all the work. Personally i dont think it worth to update yet

I flashed the ROM through TWRP, I played with MIUI 12 for a bit just to see how it felt, when I tried to boot into TWRP it didnt work, instead it would boot into redmi recovery 3.0, I tried to flashing TWRP again and I it worked, restored from a backup that I had and rebooted the device, but it didnt work, got stuck on fastboot mode, tried to boot on TWRP again but it would just reboot and go back to fasboot mode, in the end I was forced to download MiFlash and flash a Fasboot ROM.
getting Error :7 when flashing from havoc - xiaomi.eu rom - global rom from twrp and orange fox...
Tried removing the two first line from update script still no good
i have global mi 9t (QFJMIXM) what should i do ?

Don't remove the lines change them accordingly your device code

you can now update to miui 12 global. it is a beta do not expect that theres no bugs.

how can I update
you must be in version 11.0.9 then download the recovery at xiaomifirmwareupdater.
after you download the recovery file, put it to your phone downloaded_rom then flash it via system update.
if you couldnt see the using package at the top right menu just tap the version 5 to 10 times and it will show you the other menu.
note that this is miui 12 be sure that theres no interrupted during the update or your battery must be 50%.

Anything worth noting with the update? Did the black status bar when using black theme bug get fixed? Was the bug with apps storage can't be cleared fixed too? Thanks if anyone knows the answer.

i was able to clear all the cache and data.

Their changelog is never detailed, the bug could be due to me not reseting my device after updating from miui 11 to 12...etc.
Or it could be something rare, I don't quite understand how it happened either, it just did.
No need for a screenshot, it shows a user app with 0 storage and no option to clear its data at all.
i noticed the wifi of miui 12 is poor. Im telling you this because i went back to its default version which is 11.0.4.
you can also check the difference between the two version.
