All screen display, with zero cutout/notch wins it for me, despite the performance deficit. This phone in real world terms will not feel like it's that much of a step behind. Remember a large chunk of the score increase comes from the screen refresh rate jump, which looks smoother, but adds little in terms of actual performance.
Personally I don't understand why the latest benchmarking gives so much weight to screen refresh rate performance.

No, I don't need nothing faster than QC 3.0
well according to specs feom xiaomi an gsm arena it shut be QC4+
My Mi5 charges the same time mi8 is charged, lol. Is the difference of 400mAh so huge?
Although I have a doubt, as the adaptor bundled with mi8, is QC 3.0 not 4.0.
its the same.. the charging mechanism of mi 8 is good.. that is why it can last 5-6hrs sot heavy usage
I got to say that dash charge is faster, I have a op3 .
But the problem is that you have to buy dash charger and dash cable,it is expensive and inconvenient.
U see ,most power bank support qc3 .
That is why I choose qc.
The Pie ROM needs a little more polishing

I see android pie on mi8. It's beta and test must be correct when it's be official and stable
Wysłane z mojego MI 8 przy użyciu Tapatalka
Wow, now I feel really, really good about purchasing MI 8 (blue) for $350! Yes, only $350 where as the Huawei Mate 20 Pro price is around $1,140.
How MI 8 competes head to head with more than 3 times the price of an expensive device! And, it beats when the apps were already opened... Mind blowing stuff!
I have flashed Havoc on MI 8 now and pretty sure it can beat the MIUI 10, any time of the day
Just wow!

The Lighting Armour Case recently became available on Asus's official website in US and wanted some feedback on the case itself, quality, durability, battery life with case and why is it so expensive!
So my question is, is ROG phone 2's Lighting Armour Case worth $65.69(With taxes)?

Dear ROG2 followers,
I'm Damaris, a senior designer from a China company with its own factory.
You may think the headline of this post is a bit exaggerated at first sight. Absolutely, you are right.
As you may agree, the user base of ROG phone is much smaller compared with those popular ones such as iPhone and Huawei. That's why few companies are willing to invest resources in it out of worry about poor ROI. As a gaming fan, i persuaded my boss to make a metal bumper case for it, which has recorded about 2,000 orders as of today. It's far below my expected goal (about 5,000 pcs).
Under such situation, i still pulled up socks to request my boss to initiate the TPU case in response to your strong suggestions from this forum and other sources. Naturally, my boss turned down my request firmly. Once again, i collected and presented all your voice about a TPU case, and he finally approved my request based on an earn-out agreement between him and me.
To enable the TPU case to go to market successfully, i am hungry for your valuable suggestions sincerely from June 30 to August 5 (Beijing Time). You can share your ideas here, write to my email "[email protected]". The design is scheduled to be finalized on August 6, and to be released on August 12.
By the way, the design will be built on our TPU case for Xiaomi Black Shark (see Youtube link for details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dx-fpDNJH4U). It consists of a TPU frame and PC back.
