I was disassembling my I9100 in order to change the USB port and I've managed to break the flex cable for the lock key and volume key(s). I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to go around repairing it?

I've got the MB810, and am looking at some replacement parts (yay China! ) My question is a hardware question-what do I need? The power/lock screen button has lost it's spring, and doesn't like to react to being depressed. I have found the power button flex cable, but can't find any info as to what components it directly replaces, and if it would completely replace the switch, or just connect the buttons to the board. Any help would be appreciated!

Accidentally broke power/volume flex cable replacing a cracked screen. Phone powers on via usb and DT2W works on current rom.
Was thinking of ordering new part but not sure how cable is connected to the board? ie solder or glue??
Does anyone know? Is it easy to replace?
You have to solder it (carefully) or give it to technicians to do it for you.
I ordered two not long ago from Aliexpress
so my phone power button is sucks right now, and is very hard to press, i wonder if there is a way when my phone is dead, and by charging it will allow it to be turn on like an iphone! this helps alot, i dont care if i have to change anything as i am ready to take the risk if its possible!
The power button is easy to change and is very cheap. It's basically a flex cable and you cannot fix it. The copper switch is so thin that once you open it will break.
Here is a link where you can buy replacement flex
And you can find how to guide on youtube.
There was a trick to power on redmi note 2 with broken power button, maybe it works on RMN3 as well, but be careful with this method, you will have to reinsert the flex cable fast.

I see, is there anyway that I can just charge my phone to turn it on?
Any chance to power on the device without using physical buttons? The all 3 buttons, volume and power doesn't work on my device currently (hardware problem) and when connect to usb just got the battery charging screen...
Also when connect to pc there's no adb nor fastboot recognized since the device is not on actually...
Any advice to force turn on? Without that issue the device just work fine, no ROM problem
There are solder pads below the power/volume button flex cable , just connect the gnd and pwr pads together with a wire and it will turn on ; Have fun
