Mi A3 weirdly stuck in fastboot mode, please someone help
I recently opened my mi A3's bootloader and then flashed twrp image as it was error or something, my phones got stuck on fastboot mode and after that I have to flash stock rom v11.0.11.0 through mi flash tool and I successfully worked but then I installed magisk and flashed boot image to obtain boot image and that too successful worked but guess what real problem starts here, after the other day I restarted my device and android one logo showed up and then it got stuck on fastboot mode, then I have to again flash the same rom and again patched boot image file to get my phone back working and it went well for 2-3 days but suddenly, yesterday magisk notified that "DTFO is patched, tap to reboot" and I ignored and after that after few hours my phone automatically got restart and stuck on fastboot again and now when I try to flash the same rom again, it takes more than 3500s in mi flash tool and still not showing success, currently stuck on fastboot, no flash tool is working, can someone help please??

Hello guys,
i wanted to upgrade my Ressurection Remix ROM and managed to softbrick my phone. While flashing the software (Flashing system partition unconditionally) TWRP got stuck.
My phone got an unlocked bootloader and i already tried to flash the global MIUI ROM via EDL and also fastboot. The flashing process is successfull but after i restart my phone i'm stuck at the MI Logo with the moving Android Circles for loading.
I let this run for ~6 hours, no progress at all.
I also tried flashing the Global DEV Rom, same as above.
Factory Reset via Recovery Mode (with MI Suite) also didn't do the trick.
I think something with the bootloader went wrong. Any ideas to unbrick it?
I can access Fastboot and EDL Mode, unlocked Bootloader. I also got a TWRP backup with System and Data Partition, but currently only the original Revocery is installed.
Any help is very much appreciated, thank you.
Did you tried using this guide to flash stock firmware/recovery?
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
Yes, the problem is not to flash the Fastboot ROM, but after successfully flashing the ROM i got stuck at the MI Logo with the loading Android dots
That's weird.. this bootloop usually happens when you flash stock MIUI and still have TWRP installed, can you check if you have stock recovery after fastboot flash?
After i flashed the global DEV ROM i got the stock recovery where i can choose between Wiping Data, switch to MI Suite etc.
Edit: Its not really an bootloop, it just gets stuck there without doing anything
Update: Got TWRP back, now if i want to flash any ROM (doesn't matter if stock/custom) i'm stuck at TWRP saying: "Patching system unconditionally..." it stays there for hours.
Any advice in this case?
guys,, i was facing same problem. I also agree that 8012... status does not matter to unlocking bootloader. I was tried all but fail after granted permission. I was tried daily. after 5 days when I tried with old mi unlock tool I got error at 50%. After that restarted my phone and clicked on settings and in developer menu, I watched i clicked on allow unlock bootloader but I forgot to click on usg debbuging. after clicked it I went for fastboot with old unlock tool and I got success. thankyou.
Try my method you will get success. hit like. stay tune. tandob is here to help you guys.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the problem mentioned above.
Hello guys!
i was reading the only thread i found on a brick situation with a redmi 5 plus but i couldn't find a propper answer to my problem, here's why:
Found a realtively cheap RM5+ on internet got my hands on that phone but it won't boot tried to get back to seller but he dissapeared (eventho i have the address but it's quite far) and now i'm stuck with a phone that won't boot in anyway, here
TL;DR: bought a RM5+ online/i was scammed
This is what it does:
Boots and doesn't do anything at all, just the MI logo.
if PWR and Vol Down goes to fastboot
if PWR and VOL + says "The system has been destroyed"
if testpoint and flash it says "ACK count don't match"
i don't know if it's something with the roms i've tried but it would be great if you could point me in the right direction.
I've tested quite a lot of roms but i'm willing to download whatever you throw @ me, i'm kinda desperate.
Thanks!
maybe this helps http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=293457&highlight=unbrick+guide
Since you can access stock recovery, have you tried flashing an MIUI ROM using Xiaomi ADB?

Hello, thanks for your response!
I am not able to boot into recovery as it says "System has been destroyed" only fastboot and even trying with fastboot it says that partition formating is not allowed
How much did you paid for it?
I 've paid 131 Euro on aliexpress

And when it´s in mi logo it says "locked" or "unlocked"? maybe strange question but my device came unlocked out of the box and doesn´t want to boot but I can flash system and boot via fastboot mode. Some sellers try to unlock bootloader and change the firmware so not all of them got it succesfully and this unfortunately softbricks device.
Also you can try installing this tool https://androidmtk.com/download-15-seconds-adb-installer open a cmd with admin rights and type fastboot devices to check first if pc is recognicing, then you can attempt to flash most of partitions through fastboot if your device is unlocked.
If this don´t solve then you have to go for edl/download mode but try first this and report
I have been experiencing MIUI on MI A3 for a long time, and I tried to go back to Android One because of drain battery. I attempted to flash in MiFlash. Obviously it succeed, it took about 700 seconds, and I obviously unlocked the device, but unfortunately, F*#k Xiaomi, when it rebooted, it went back to Fastboot logo, and it was even more confused when the device was LOCKED again. The unlock icon disappeared in Android One logo, when I checked on fastboot getvar all command, it said that the device wasnt unlocked. IT COMPLETELY LOST UNLOCK, AND I CANT DO ANYTHING. I CAN NOT BOOT TO THE ROM TO ENABLE OEM UNLOCK CUZ IT IS BRICK. I CAN NOT FLASH NEITHER TWRP NOR MIUI ROM NOR EVERYTHING CUZ BOOTLOADER IS GONE, THE PHONE CAN NOT REACH ANY COMMAND AND I CAN NOT FLASH THROUGH MIFLASH ANYMORE . Is there any solution for it, do I need to sell Mi A3 to exchange to iPhone 6s? SCREW MiFlash, everytime I flashed, it always gives a nightmare, rather than giving a hope. . Now I just need a solution to flash any possible rom without unlock bootloader, ANYTHING. Thank you, I will be appreciated.

I think that your current slot is b
Same situation here.
My fault reflashing stock android and locked in partition B.
Now only have a fastboot mode, but with locked bootloader i´m lost.
EDL mode bloqued by Xiaomi (Only verified account)
Xiaomi Flash tool formats your device & locks the bootloader by default (yeah, Xiaomi is stupid). You have to manually change this before you flash your device (the option is located at bottom-right side of the program). Since your device got locked, I'm afraid you won't be able to flash stock ROM with this tool anymore. And custom ROMs/TWRP won't work with locked bootloader. I think EDL is the only solution now.
Out of nowhere my Redmi 5 Plus froze when I was using an application I have used thousands of times before. I have tried restarting it, but it is stuck at the mi.com boot logo and stays there without doing anything. Can not enter recovery or EDL mode, only fastboot is available. Fastboot commands work from a PC but can not do anything since the device is locked. From what I understand this is a known issue for this model although I do not understand what causes it. So my question is, what can I do about this, or how can I clear the cache partition, or unlock the device, without destroying my data on it, or losing features like upgrades?

Pleaseee help?
I am currently trying to install LineageOS on my phone. I personally have never unlocked or reinstalled a new operating system on my phone. I looked on some XDA forums for some guides and i found one and followed the steps. I unlocked my phone and I installed a custom TWRP because I was trying to downgrade the phone back to android 11. Once i was done flashing the file to the phone and rebooted it doesn't boot anymore and only gives me a booting screen for a few seconds after I hold down the power and volume up button for a few seconds nothing else works. I have use the MSM tool and put my phone into EDL mode and it detected the phone with a black screen. Every time I use the tool it works till about 18% then it gives me a Sahara communication failed error and then my phone gets out of EDL mode.. I installed all the drivers needed on my PC and used multiple USB 2.0 slots but it still fails. Any help would be appreciated.
There are warnings in the TWRP thread for the N200 that it is broken and should not be flashed.
I have written an easy to follow guide here to downgrade to A11 with Fastboot Enhance.
Unfortunately, now that you have used MSMTool on the phone, it is now bootloader LOCKED. This tool should be the last resort only if you are already hard bricked. You could have gotten the phone into fastboot if either boot.img was still intact and re-flashed the rom with a still unlocked bootloader. The phone will change slots after so many failed boots.
Now that your boot loader is locked, the only tool that can modify the phone is MSMTool. If you can get into Recovery, do delete user data and try again.
Otherwise, you will need to get an RMA and send phone back to OP.

Sorry I should have written more details but I currently have a hard bricked device. It will not boot and It failed to boot like 20 times. It will not enter fastboot or even get past the logo when you first turn it on. I did use MSM tool after it wasn't letting me into fastboot. Thanks for the help and I will send it back.
