Hi,
Im trying to get the Feed of my 4K Webcam into the Camera of an Android Emulator but i'm having trouble getting the full Resolution. I have tried many Emulators but they all seem to have some specific max camera resolution set. On nox and Genymotion I get a max camera resolution of 640x480px, On KoPlayer i got 1280x720p, in Android Virtual Device Manager (AVD) i got 1280x960px and in Memu which was the best one so far I got 1920x1080p. However that resolution doesnt suffice for my purposes. Does anyone know an Emulator which supports higher virtual camera resolutions? Or how to create a Virtual Device in AVD which supports higher resolutions?
I know there is
hw.camera.maxHorizontalPixels
and
hw.camera.maxVerticalPixels
for AVD
but I dont know where to edit those properties.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Guys
Is there an official limit of vertex coordinates in openGL ES?
I am developing Games with openGL on android and found out, that on emulator and on some devices that each position component allows a maximum value of max-signed-short (-32.768 to 32.767)
If you place a quad outside of this range, it is not rendered. (Place the quad there, and the cam also -> no render)
Beside the Emulator I know that this issue also effects the HTC Wildfire. I am using libgdx in my games, but I don't think it's a matter of this lib.
Can anyone point me if there is a defined hardware limit for that, which devices are effected and or how can I check for it?
Hopefully anyone knows something about it - thanks in advance!
Is there a way to set the resolution of the HDMI? I am trying to connect to a 24 inch monitor and it's running at 1280x800 (native resolution I assume). Is there a way I can tell it to run at 1080p?
I tried mine thru my TV last night for the time. I could only get my tv to register it at 720p. I also am wondering if anybody else noticed a tiny delay from touchpad screen to tv. It's enough for me so that I can't play games properly. I thought I had read that people were playing games no problem though.... anybodies experience would be greatly appreciated.

Sure, play 1080p content. There's no magic upscale to 1080 for lower resolution content, including the OS.
That makes sense.
Is there a way to program an app to specify it has 1080p content? My goal is for me to be able to RDP (using iTap at the moment) into a server of mine and have that displayed with 1080p resolution.
Hi Android gurus! I have nut to crack and I was hoping you could help me with that.
I want to use my MK802 IIIS with a projector but I am having aspect ratio/resolution issues. Namely my projector supports 800x600 and 1024x768 but on my Android stick I get chose 1920x1080, 1280x720 or 720x480 (Settings->Display->HDMI modes). The stick has only HDMI output and I am using a cheap chinese adapter to connect it to the projectors vga input. For example with 720x480 I do get the picture but at left side a slice of it is cut off.
Ideal would be if I could set the video output to 1024x768 (with 4:3 aspect ratio).
So, how could I change it?
Is there any Xorg like solution, that is, add resolutions by editing some conf file?
I have limited knowledge on Android but I do know java and I am willing to digg in and so all answers and solutions are welcome. Of course it would be great if there would be easy fix but if you think I should go nuts and create a custom ROM, build custom firmware... I will be excited to hear that.
Anybody?
Where how??
I'm trying to find an answer to the same thing, Also an android stick but also in general for Andoid.
Besidess the menu's in settings, which can be limited, there must be a way to force a specific resolution.
And I don't mean "simulate" a resolution change by changing the Density/DPI
Someone must know, and It must be easy, please share
Google has rolled out Assistant support for tablet devices with the latest update. However there are certain RAM(>1.5 gb) and screen resolution (> 720p) constraints for enabling it.
Has anyone been able to run the assistant with lower screen resolutions ?I have a 1024x600 resolution device. I have been able to change the resolution with adb shell wm size to 1024x720 when connected to the device shell over wifi. This however, reduces the width of the screen and squeezes everything up even though Google Assistant starts working magically.
There must be a way to bypass the screen resolution check (WITH ROOT) or just fake it without actually changing the display . Have heard about Assistant Enabler on XPOSED but I'm scared I might brick my device with that unless someone has tested it already on it. Is there a better way ?
PS: Device is a Joying car entertainment unit (Intel Sofia) on android 6.0.1 .
Screen resolution 1228x720 seems to work good enough. I also changed the font size to huge
Google assistant on low res devices
Hi I'm Paul,
I AM DISABLED IN A WHEEL CHAIR I did have this running on a z80 full lollipop android watch and it worked great, for a whole year then the low res issue was installed on updates. This no longer works so I am also looking for a solution, for my new q1 pro watch running marshmallow.
please let me know how you resolve this if you can thank you, as I am wheel chair bound and the assistant on my wrist watch was invaluable.
Kind regards
Paul.

Hi all,
I recently purchased a Tab S7+, but to say the least, I am very disappointed that my UHD sub of Netflix doesn't allow 4K playback due to resolution mismatch of the device.
I want to access what I have paid for because 1080p looks a lot worse than 4K downsampled to the Tab's very high resolution screen.
I have been searching everywhere for a simple solution and the only thing I found is connecting the tab to a PC and then to use an ADB command to make the entire Tablet's resolution 4K, which would be fine if that didn't act as a battery hog at all time even when I am not using Netflix.
So I am wondering if there's perhaps a simpler soultion around, like for example I want to know if I can increase the resolution of the tablet via the tablet itself (maybe via Terminal and whatnot) so that once I am done with watching Netflix in 4K, I can reset the resolution back to its original state on the tablet itself?
Would greatly appreciate any input regarding this issue.
