Got a few questions for anyone who has a Moto G Power in the US.
On T-Mobile, does Wifi Calling work? (I live in an area with spotty reception)
Also, when switching from swipe navigation back to the original 3 button layout, are you able to reposition the buttons? I'm still used to the Samsung layout with the back button on the right.
Thanks.
Yes, both VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling work with T-Mobile
I have it

Damn. Do you know if there's a Magisk module that can do this?
I know Xposed had one back in the day, but that was for an older version of Android.
Thanks again.

I'm using Widgetsoid to switch between 2g/3g, but it still takes 4 total clicks. Is there a 1-click option available for rooted users?
Thx!
CM9 has a 2G/3G toggle in the power widget on the status bar. One click to go to 2G preferred, another click to set it back to 2G or 3G. Easy.

Any other options? I have odexed lpg, stock
Looks like you're stuck with your widget then. Unless you use something like Tasker to have it switch to 2G or 3G under certain circumstances (time/whatever) or if certain conditions are met.
Use this

Thanks, but that's still 4 CLICKS! Same as Widgetsoid.
I'm surprised there's no mod for this.....
Why don't you code one ? I'm sure the community would be eternally grateful.

LoL! I couldn't code a shortcut.
Haha ;-) Me neither.
Edit - Honestly, Tasker is as close as you're going to get to what you want if you don't want to use CM9.

I couldnt find an app either. One simple work around though. After selecting GSM/WCDMA mode, press the home button. The rule is to keep the current settings page in background. Switch it as and when necessary. All you have to do is to launch the Task Manager (like holding home key) and select the desired network mode. Still takes less than 3 touches.
Simple, not a concrete one though!
You could give a try to for example AOKP custom rom. You can customize status bar icons, there's a button to switch between the two modes.
Xposed
Just download xposed and then gravity box you can make a shortcut in there. (NOTE: This requires a custom recovery like twrp or cwm. )
When I first bought my Gear S, the screen lit up when I looked at it. Now if I raise my arm it remains dark unless I press the home button. Any ideas?

Check your motion settings.
To enable or disable the Wake-up gesture:
► On the Apps screen, tap Settings > Motions and tap Wake-up gesture.
Ok, figured it out. Had to restart the watch after adding new apps.

I feel like a dumbass that is the only place I didnt look!!!!
I'm using the T-Mobile V30 and I can go into settings or the t-mobile app to activate the mobile hotspot but it's not an option to add a toggle to the pull down (notification panel) menu, does anyone else have this issue or know how to add it?
Yeah ... same here.
I think they are trying to push everyone to use the Tmo app
Yeah, no toggle here either but at least there is still the option to tether in the settings menu.
Ugh, that is so annoying. It was so nice to just hit the toggle. I can't wait for root.

Have you tried looking for a widget in the play store to handle this? You might have some luck there!

The T-mobile hotspot app does have a toggle widget but I was looking for something from the status bar menu. I actually like the floating bar that LG used to replace the 2nd screen and I would use it if you could put widgets into it (like the hostpot toggle). I think it would be so much more useful if there was a way to put widgets into the floating bar.

Thanks for finding that but can you check to see if it actually is working? I can add the toggle to the notification panel now but it doesn't turn it on or off for me.

if it doesnt work for u go into the setting to add an app to the quick setting. after doing that select the hotspot app. is another step but is a good solution for a shortcut
it will end up looking like this

Awesome! Thank you!
I hope someone from this discussion is still paying attention. I can't get this app to work for me. I got the hotspot toggle to be available, but it only turns off Wi-Fi, and doesn't enable my hotspot. I don't get what I'm missing.
Anyone find a way to do this through the adb shell? I tried: settings put secure sysui_qs_tiles "hotspot" but no luck.
I have the sprint (unlocked) lg v50 on pie and it also does not have mobile hotspot quick setting.
I have to goto settings>network>tether>hotspot.
So dumb
I also have a us cellular v30+ (unlocked) on pie and it does have hotspot quick setting as it should.
Has anyone used the System UI tuner by @Zacharee1 on the Sprint LS998 yet?
I am nervous to use it.....I am sure I could mess stuff up. How would I get back to stock if I did?
Not worth it?

He can't. He doesn't have TWRP. He has a un-rooted Sprint LG V30. None of the carrier-branded LG V30 has root (yet).
Sent via open market LG US998 V30/V30+

Also, with this program....if I toggle something off, in theory I can toggle it back on and restore the system file?
You can use it on an unrooted LG V30. I did, just follow the instructions and you will be fine.

And you can toggle back safely if you want to change it back?
"unrolled" = unrooted I assume ha
What specifically have you changed successfully?

Yes, stupid auto correct. There are instructions for how to do everything with it. I am using it on my S9. The only it can't do on my S9 is hide the navigation bar on the home screen like it did when I had the V30. The instruction for System UI Tuner are very straightforward and simple to follow.

I'm not sure cause I only installed it on my S9 to see if I could get the full immersive mode to work on my S9. Can get the status bar hidden on the home screen but not the navigation bar.

It's where you can the status and navigation bars on the home screen. It gives you more screen real estate. When they are hidden you just stripe up for them to appear, then they go back to hidden. It's a nice feature to have. Like how I have it here on my phone, well I have the status bar hidden but haven't been able to hide my navigation bar, but I could using that app on the V30
Did anyone get power notification control worked? I have it enabled. Wanted to change hangout notification to level 3, but the slider is not working.
You can hide the bottom navigation bar on the vs996 ( Verizon's LG v30 edition). In the left side of the navigation bar, there is a real small square (it looks almost like a dot), that if you press it, it hides the navigation bar.
