Hi using Samsung A series, but dont like white nav bar, can you get it black without turning system dark mode on?.....there is some apps but seem a little dodgy!!! full of Adds. Can it be done via ABD?.... Just want it so its black all the time including when i open apps. Did try Good Lock but their colours where pastel thanks. Running Android 10 id like to keep stock launcher one ui.

I have been looking around in the various S3 forums but can't find what I am looking for. I have tried search and get the bars come up but are all black with either blue or white icons. I would like a white notification bar with black icons/clock/signal etc but not sure if it is possible.
My phone is rooted and running MIUI-INDIA V2 but with Nova Launcher.
Would anyone tell me if its possible. i have tried the themes on MIUI but they do not change the bar (although they do when using MIUI launcher)

I love the Holo Light with Dark Actionbar theme. I have been working to make a vrtheme for it, but being amateur in themeing its taking me considerable more time and effort to make it work having to use the hit-and-trial method for everything and its becoming kind-of frustrating. So, even though I'll continue working on my own version of it, I'd like to put the idea out there so that maybe someone with experience can make it for us if he likes the idea as well.
What I'm thinking of is an even Holo Light theme throughout the ROM :
White background & black text for most apps(Phone, Messaging and the likes) and Settings. (I guess you could call it "inverted" but with holo colors thrown in.)
Dark grey & slightly beveled status bar. (Or White status bar with dark grey icons, but would mess up most app notifications since they are in white.)
White background in expanded notifications statusbar with Dark Gray toggles and Dark Grey and Holo blue for notifications.
Minimalistic Black/Grey Icons (like the ones provided for notifications by default in the Android resources) for Phone, Messaging, etc.
For cues and inspiration on the colors and feel, the Light theme on Falcon Pro and GMail's default Light/High Contrast Theme are good to try to take ideas from.
Meanwhile I'll continue working on my own version and I'll post it here as soon as I make a decent beta version.

I have been running a 4.3.1 Paranoid Android build. I don't like the dark themes of the system apps. I prefer the stock LG User Interface and colors. I want to know how I can change from the default white text on black background to black text on white background. A color scheme similar to the stock LG UI is preferred. I also couldn't find a widget that matches the functionality of the stock ROM's notification settings. I really liked the brightness slider in the swipe notifications in the stock UI.

Not sure if you have tried this? Xblast Exposed Frameworks Works great on my phone Samsung S2. Worth a glance maybe...
Look in the play store for "cm 10" or "cm 10.2" themes. Then in settings, find the theme section and apply your new theme. What gets themed will vary between themes, and some will be free as well as some running any where from $.99-$2.00. There are a wide variety of choices, just find one that matches your liking.
Also try adding search terms like light holo or white to narrow down what you want. There is also a thread here on xda showcasing themes made by members here, it should be in "android development" -> "android themes"

I tried changing the dark holo background color to white, but I also had to change the default text color from white to black. This made the text unreadable in apps where the dark background did not change to white.
I can't be the only one who is annoyed by this - many apps have the navigation bar black at the bottom and the chin looks twice as big as it is. It's bugging the hell out of me and I was wondering if anybody knew how to change this so it matches the color of the app you're in.

I use Fluid N.G. to replace nav bar.. and I'm quite satisfy with that, while waiting EMUI 9 come out to P20 lite.. the app is available in playstore
Yes, Fluid N.G. is a very good app, I like it.
just go to settings, system, system navigation, there you can hide na navigation bar
I have enabled the dark theme on my phone however is there any way to change the white background of notifications? I would like those darker as well.
I'm pretty sure you need an app called Power Shade - I'm just installing it myself to have a play with...
