I am using R3Pro stock A.19 with custom Orangefox recovery (bootloader unlocked) and need help updating to:
Latest Stock Realme UI (https://download.c.realme.com/osupdate/RMX1851EX_11_OTA_1050_all_mrfWfUMXI172.ozip)
Or
AOSP Extended v7.1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...om-aospextended-rom-v7-0-realme-3pro-t4044387)
Which rom is best as a daily driver? And what do i need to do to update without getting bricked?
Also is it possible to get root on the latest stock firmware? Thanks in advance
From the obvious lack of replies i went along with option 1 and flashed stock recovery from fastboot and then locked the bootloader hoping to update with the ozip. But now i am stuck on boot/recovery destroyed and unable to enter fastboot or recovery.
Thinking back it may be because i did not unroot from Magisk or flash a stock boot image after it was modified after root. Looking at other threads with the same issues maybe relocking just breaks the firmware anyway. Now waiting for Monday to see if the Service Center is open so i can get it fixed as no one seems to have any other solution.
Long Story Short >>>>> DO NOT RELOCK BOOTLOADER on Realme 3 Pro RMX1851 or be ready to take a trip to the Service Center

Hey everyone, I've been using my hox+ rooted for some time now, never flashed a ROM and was wondering if I update to the new att software will I lose root?
Yes. Just make sure you have a custom recovery and flash the root installer zip. Or if you have TWRP, after a the flash, it will ask to install root.
Hey thanks for the response, I'm running twrp 2.4 the thing is I don't know whether to to let the phone update through its regular way of updating or do I flash this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2235248, the problem with flashing this is I don't
Know how to flash boot IMG. Sorry I'm a noob any help would be greatly appreciated.
Use this command in fastboot.
fastboot flash boot /location/of/boot.img
If your bootloader is unlock and your phone has a custom Recovery, the official AT&T update won't install on your phone. If you want the update, or you wait for a custom ROM with the update to be available, or you relock bootloader, and flash the latest RUU to recover the original state of your phone. Then you can still unlock with the same token and install a custom recovery to root your device.
Thanks much fellas, you've been a great help!
Hey, I've been using Kangvip rom for the Mate10Pro from this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/help/kangvip-rom-t3738379)
It comes rooted with Supersu, and got TWRP up and running.
Now I thought of comming back to the stock version of the phone, and having a problem with that.
First my bootloader is unlocked and FRP is locked, Enable Oem unlocking in Devs Settings is off and greyed out, when trying to flash from the full OTA (from this website)
http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=bla-l29C432B129&firmware_page=0
Based on my Version BLA-l29C432B129
When I try to flash something, an error appears with Command not allowed, I read that I should relock the bootloader so I did try, but got the error " Root type is risk" so it didn't work.
Same problem in TWRP, everything is SDCARD is encrypted so I can't have a zip or boot image there.
Heard you could system upgrade with inbuilt huawei software, but only allows an external sd card :/
I'd just want to return to stock firmware , stock recovery and unrooted
I will provide as much information as I can!
Kind Regards Felipe
I have a Mate 10 Pro BLA-L29 C605, that is stuck on 9.0.0.254 and I'm seriously considering paying $40 to Ministry of Solutions for their bootloader unlock service. After unlocking, I would be installing a custom recovery.
I'm not interested in root, and I would like to stick with the official firmware, so I was wondering if, after a bootloader unlock and installation of custom recovery, I would be able to install a firmware downloaded via the Firmware Finder windows application? It's been a long time since I've flashed ROMs via a custom recovery, so excuse my ignorance if the process has changed, but I'm hoping I can simply download a newer official firmware and flash it via recovery.
Thanks for the help.
Hello, I have to sell my realme 7 pro and I must relock bootloader and replace recovery stock. My version is EU variant - RMX2170_11_A.36, with TWRP .
I know that I have to return stock recovery before locking bootloader otherwise bootloop.
I can't find the right recovery for my phone, i found only a.37 - a37 - a39
What are the right steps I have to follow? Thanks
Found this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-relock-bootloader-back-to-stock.4172569/
Stock roms can be downloaded here: https://realmeupdater.com/downloads/latest/RMX2170EU/
Simply flashing stock rom should help?
thanks bro, I have succesfully backed to stock my phone. I've followed method 2, flashing .ozip (same version already installed) through twrp. Once done, I rebooted to system without setup, and then recovery stock was reinstalled. Then I locked bootloader again by fastboot flashing lock.
Dear all,
When I rooted my phone i followed the guide with the patching of the stock boot.img via magisk and flashing via fastboot.

Same happened to me, I had to open the phone and short the pins to get it out of boot loop. I did buy the special cable but didn't need to use it in the end.
