I m having a RN4 with miui global beta 10...(something.... i dont remember) running on nougat
m gonna flash it with twrp n install rr nougat but can i instead flash RR oreo rom if suppported or copatible?
n i hv an app installed on my phone named ROM Installer which is based on installing roms automatically meaning no work for me
it has all pree flashing n all with it which clear data etc etc stuff before flashing ..... any1 who can help me?? can i trust this app on this? n m even scared to do it manually so...

This time i am downloading a miui 8 china developer rom !
Now i have 3 questions !
1) how to revert back ? Flashing through twrp ?
2) how to root the flashed china developer rom ? Coz i have titanium backup files which i want tk restore ?
3)by flashing the china developer rom will my internal storage be wiped out ? All the media files photos music etc ? I know that data is a must wipe but will my internal storage be wiped ?? Plz help

After I've treid a lot of nougat roms and also mm rom - qualcomm AOSP (very good rom) , I wanted back to miui . I have TWRP by Alka , i put global stable 8.1.1.0 zip in redmi note 3 and flashed it . I had softbrick (only fastboot). I cheked bootloader - it was locked . I unlocked it by miunlock and flash TWRP again . Then i flashed miui again . It was succeed .
You can flash via fastboot, and select the option 'flash except storage' if I remember correctly. And the China Developer ROM comes pre-rooted I believe. Just go to Security -> Permissions and you should find it.

Hey guys and developers I need a help I'm currently using 7.1 lineage os and now when I try switching onto 8.1 any ROM...it's just showing boot animation and then switching off....I searched a lot in YouTube one tip I got it is to wipe out internal storage ...as ur moving from 7.1to 8.1 for the first time....but what to do guys I'm stuck with this ROM I want to see Oreo can u pls help me....

Download and Flash latest firmware zip file from firmware thread by saurav.
First Flash latest twrp 3.2.1
First Format data( must)
Then wipe data reset
Flash 8.1 rom
Flash 8.1 arm64 gapps
Reboot
im currently in miui 10 eu with unoffcial twrp which supports encryption.. so my question is when ever i flash custom roms like pe , los , siberia , nitro etc i dont need to flash dfe right ?

I'm having bottloop problems with Redmi Note 4 (mido). at first I used stock ROM MIUI 10 version 8.12 then I tried to flash via twrp using Omega ROM series MIUI 10 display MIUI 11pro android 9 (Pie) .. it turns out ROM has been equipped with Root access, and some applications cannot be opened because there is a default root access ROM. when I want to return to the stable MIUI 11 stock ROM android 7 .. I experienced bootloop .. and the device failed to enter the android system .. does any of the developers know the solution for bootloop? or anyone can provide a solution to delete the default root of the Omega ROM series.
You can try flash from TWRP this script UPDATE-unSU-signed.zip . Search in XDA . I can' t link ( junior member ). It will help you unroot your device.
reflash stock fastboot rom with mi flash tool.
Any way to fix this since i have noticed that some of the apps still detects root even after being unrooted when the every option on the above image is not green (i am currently on lineage os (unrroted) official and this problem doesn't exist on pixel experience)
