Looking for SHT-W09 any region OEMINFO.img - Huawei MediaPad M5 Questions & Answers

Anyone happen to have an OEMINFO.img from a SHT-W09 they can share, or a link to one?
I debranded and made a mistake of going to SHT-AL09 instead of W09, so it boots then reboots constantly now.
When I read the guide, I thought copy was literally `cp`
Was a SHT-W09 C567 (US Wifi Only) but looking to debrand to EU to get Pie
So trying to fix my tablet.

Is it ok to switch from KIW-L24 to KIW-L22

I currently have Honor 5X KIW-L24. But I have gifted this to my father who lives in India. There are couple of issues with the phone which makes me think that I need to just do factory reset, but there is also one more issue.
Seems like he is not able to use Reliance Jio 4g network on his phone. So I wondered if this is because of differnet firmware - L24 (which the phone is currently on) versus L22 (which seems to be the one that Indian versions have). There was also recent firmware updates for L22 especially Indian version; while there is none for L24.
So I know that I can do the "Local Update" method by downloading L22 zip file. But I have couple of questions,
1. Is it even possible going from one firmware version to another?
2. Is it ok to switch to L22 from L24?
3. Should I be instead thinking of using some custom ROM (any recommendations if this is the case)?
Custom ROMs doesn't support volte as of now.
You can not flash the zip directly but you need to for complete debranding with oeminfo and custom.bin of L22.
That could be the reason why it won't work, and U don't that rebranding it will fix the issue

Questions about flashing firmware on mate 10 pro

Hi all,
I’ve been reading the forums here for a little while, gathering as much info as I could.
I thought I would collate as much information here as possible, so that its all in one place.
I would personally like to flash an international stock firmware to the Chinese Mate 10 pro or BLA-AL00 . From what I’ve read, I will need to install TWRP. I'm using a MacBook Pro, so i'm guessing ill need to also install the Android Debug Bridge.
Here are the details I've found so far.
BLA = Mate 10 Pro
ALP = Mate 10
LON = Mate 9 Pro
L09 = Single sim
L29 = Dual sim
B??? = Firmware version
C??? = Country

Why Re-brand a phone
People may re-brand their phone as they way wish to try a different firmware, also some regions update their firmware quicker than others.
For rebranding Chinese AL00 you can see these threads.
AL00 Thread 01
AL00 Thread 02
AL00 Thread 03
AL00 Thread 04
Issue experienced with BLA-AL00
No location history in Google Maps
(more to be added)
Bootloader
For unlocking the boot loader one must contact Huawei to get the boot-loader unlock code.
Rebranding
Option 1
Go through FunkyHuawei, this will cost a minimum, of $51 per phone, you are expected to do this your self, and if you screw up your going to have to pay more cash out.
PROS's
Need more inforamtion
CON's
This can change your bootloader unlock code.
Possibility of still screwing the process up and having to pay more cash.
Need more information
I will keep updating this as and when I gather more information.

I’m currently living in China, where I plan to buy a couple of Mate 10 pro’s, one for me and the other for the wife. The phones in China are locked down, with no google play, and installed with a whole bunch of local apps.

Im pretty sure the Chinese phones i’m getting are dual sim, so L29.

For unlocking the boot loader I can get the codes from Huawei, which will allow me to install TWRP. Is this the correct route to go to apply the European firmware? Do I need to rebrand the phone, or can I just apply the firmware using this method?
Any help gratefully appreciated.

Personally I have no experience with rebranding but I do know that currently there is a lot going on with bricking this device. I refer to the post https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/discussion-hard-brick-infos-t3789044
Also, here's the experience of one of your countryman https://forum.xda-developers.com/ma...ash-oreo-update-package-t3716814/post76470250

Thanks for the advice!
Thanks for the advice guys, i’ve read through the issues others are having and it seems better to wait rather than risk bricking the phones.
I just cant justify paying an extra $65 to a company to do this work for me, kinda feels like they have a monopoly on the market. I think I’ll wait and see what the opensource community can do, I would rather donate to them instead. Kinda fits more with my way of thinking.
Also a big thank you to Coredown, who took the time to PM me a whole bunch of info.

Question about firmware update on rebranded phone

So I've successfully rebranded a Chinese Honor9 (STF-AL10) to the European branding (STF-L09C432). Next step is install a L09 firmware. But there are 2 problems on the phone, which I believe are very common:
1 - no capacitive buttons
2 - camera flash/torch not consistently working
Is there a known firmware that I can flash to fix these problems (especially the camera flash problem) ? I read the B120 firmware is the way to go, but I haven't seen any download links (including pro-teammt.ru) that work. I know that flashing the lastest ROM will make downgrades brick the phone (this has already happened to me, but I was lucky enough to get another replace AL10).
Thanks.

Hello, I have also already rebranded Honor 9 from stf-al10 to European L09. I know the best way to rebrand it. You are supposed to unlock the bootloader at first and then root it whith open kirin twrp. After that you should change the oeminfo to L09, its really important. In that way, you can rebrand to L09 without problem. Do not forget to save the stock al10 oeminfo.

Media Pad M5 Pro (C431) HOW TO CHANGE CUST?

Hi,
I bought 1 year ago the Media Pad M5 Pro unbranded from eBay.
I never received any update till now Still on Android 8.0.0 ( Build Nr CMR-AL19 8.0.0.199 (C431)
Huawei Support told me multiple times there is no update available for my device.
But I think they are wrong.
I think it just got the wrong Cust (C431 is made for "providers" but mine has no brand but this firmware)
C432 receives all the updates from Huawei.
So my question is how I can change my Cust from C431 to C432 or directly flash a C432 firmware?
I hope someone can help me in easy steps I think I am not the only one on the whole internet with this problem but in non-forum a solution.
Thanks

changing to c432 (which is the m5 wifi version, with Kirin 960s not Kirin 960) is quit risky - bootloop
but u could go for the testpoint method and flash treble gsi android 10, need to open bootloader
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mediapad-m5/how-to/downgrade-unbrick-huawei-device-methods-t3915693
its a bit easier with HCU client and dc phoenix( u need the dc unlocker anyway -to unlock bootloader - unfortunatly no other way) but HCU is 20 bucks time license for 3 days
if you really want the the super easy way there is a guy doing it for 30 bucks but u need to give him access to your windows pc(i wouldnt do that) https://ministryofsolutions.com/paid-services
if u find an easier way pls tell me, i gave an cmr-w09 (m5 wifi) and its running super smooth on havoc os(custom android 10)

REQUEST: oeminfo and cust files to rebrand CMR-W09 C567 to C432

As those affected know, C567 (US version) of MediaPad M5 is stuck at EMUI 8.0.
I managed to unlock the bootloader using the test point method (need to carefully open the device and use PotatoNV program).
However, after experimenting with a couple of Treble ROMS (pphusson's AOSP 11, for example), I decided EMUI was less buggy for me. However, I'd like to be able to upgrade to EMUI 9.1, for which I'd like to rebrand to C432 (Europe version). I understand it's possible to rebrand by changing the cust and oeminfo partitions.
QUESTION: does anyone have a method for modifying these files or can upload them if they have a C432? I understand there are some paid online services that may do rebranding, but would rather leverage the XDA hive!
BONUS QUESTION: if anyone has had a very good experience with some other ROM, would be glad to hear it.
Cheers and thanks in advance for any help or advice!
I've got a magisk rooted CMR-W09 C432 running 9.1.0.160. Maybe I can help you somehow...
But please care: I might have tempered something: I'm currently trying to upgrade to 9.1.0.371 but the updater fails consecutively: Maybe I've borked something e.g. in the bootloader or elsewhere...
