hello to everyone and happy new year !!!
i found a device that has the same board and same specs with my device , but it uses newer kernel .
what changes should i make , in order to make it go further than the sandclock ?
not asking about fixing wifi or any other problems . i want just to see the boot animation .
any ideas ?
anyone ?
Well...if you like the kernel so much i would port its features per say...so you can check the github and see what things it has. So cpufreq's maybe stuff likes2w and commit those tweaks into a stock kernel you will have to know how to build from source and git knowledge as well.
hi mates .. it is incredible that there isn ' t a custom kernel supported .. for kitkat correct me if i say wrong .. should be a kernel with support OC UV lcd power reduce ... custom optimization .. basically a new kernel.. if there is something that want start a new project i give all my knowledge...:crying::crying::crying:

There is a kernel that does most of the things you say already (dorimanx kernel). If you can bring back the project, that would be amazing

Hello,
It's the wrong place for this type of questions, u should post it in the corresponding sub-xda topic instead of.
To answer you without going into too much detail otherwise my few lines will turn into paragraphs with several kilometers long...
In a very simple way and in just a few words: the task can very quickly get complicated even for experienced developers, and i don't say that as kernel developers because i've never ventured into it, but in the meantime it's a custom and kernel ROM developer who told me that it's very complicated to adapt a kernel for a new phone from scratch, and i suppose that the task is even more so when the phone is an MTK because the kernel originally had to be designed for devices equipped with arm or mips processors..

We no longer have any custom kernel for redmi k20 pro ( Raphael/Raphaelin ) ,only advanced stock so im asking here:
If you are a dev and know how to compile a kernel - please try to make nethunter compatible kernal.
There must be someone with enough skill to add some features to kernel, mayby our redmi k20pro ( Raphael/Raphaelin) community could get together and add some bounty for that.
xiaomi released the sources already:
https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/raphael-p-oss
If you know how to compile but scared to test on your own phone, then im up for testing on my redmi k20 pro .

I fully agree with you...
I'm also available for testing!
Here is the thread I created for nethunter installation: https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/how-to/guide-how-to-install-kali-nethunter-t3998623
Your nethunter installation gide is pretty good bt without proper kernal support you cannot perform wireless attacks , HID attacks mins without nethunter compatible kernal this gide is incomplete i am trying find someone who can make proper nethunter compatible kernal can you help me plz

Unfortunately i'm not aware of compiling a kernel...
I can only provide support to this thread as I cannot create a second one for the same purpose...
I wish we will be heard...
Ok don't warry i learning about linux kernal compiling so after some days i can buil my own kernal bt without proper practice i can't make advance kernal thise is why i am trying to find someone to make thise kernal
Well, I am looking for a kernel that supports HID (Or a Kali Nethunter Kernel support) or anything of the sort.
I've realized that the Moto G Play doesn't have a lot going on yet and I don't know if there's a universal kernel or anything?
Sorry, are you saying stock doesn't support OTG keyboards/mice/etc? It's not a problem for me to build missing modules if you need them.
Edit: It seems likely OP wants a kernel with CONFIG_USB_CONFIGFS_F_HID enabled. Seems late now, and there was never any clarification, so meh. Good to know anyway.
