which is the best rom for using as a daily driver with every feature working with minimum to zero bug? I don't want to use miui or miui.eu. I'm currently using corvus and there's no bugs except slow fingerprint scan which is somewhat fixed using schedutil governor. but faceunlock is not working. Please help

Reloaded OS. Being a CAF rom performance is best. It is really stable as a daily driver but it has minimal customization. It also has working face unlock. Give it a try.

Pixel Experience Plus
Lineage OS

Havoc OS
Crdroid
Arrow OS
These are the ones I have tried. All of them are good as a daily driver but some of them have removed face unlock due to copyright issues.
CrDroid for me has been the most tweakable ROM with consistently good performance. I have used it with both sphinx and disrupt kernel which give me a smother scrolling/daily usage experience than stock kernel. Your mileage might vary.

I agree AEX is an excellent rom.
using the latest 7.2 build since last 2 days and I've never seen a more robust android 10 rom for the poco f1.

No Gravity kernel is pretty good but you really need the no gravity app as well if you want to use it to its fullest potential. Out of the box it's goals are two fold: battery life and no thermal throttling of the SOC. It achieves both of those goals by being quite conservative with clock speeds and cpu ramp ups. This is good for sustained loads but does lower benchmarks. This is easily solved by selecting a different profile using the no gravity app. I am not the biggest fan of the app so I don't use kernel.
When I last used it, I got a few random reboots, but that was a while back and I was on Xiaomi . eu on Pie at the time. I don't believe those issue still exist but I can't tell you for sure. One of the problems with the Poco F1 is that in order to cut costs, the company had very lax tolerances and sourced their components from a wide variety of suppliers. The result has been a greater degree of variation between how everyone's phone functions (at least that's been my impression). What works on my phone might give errors on your phone. You just have to try it out.
The good thing about the phone is the development community is so diverse that you will definitely find something you like. Its truly and enthusiast's phone and my experience with it has been very similar (on a high level) to my experience with FOSS and Linux distributions. But that is why I bought the phone in the first place.
PS: CrDroid now has per app profiles (although how much that is respected by non-stock kernels varies)

Yes! Asking same question again but which is the smoothest oreo ROM right now? Using AOSIP but launchers are no smooth at all in it. Also games cause lags too.

Let me try! I hope you are honest with your answer..
Aosip, very good rom
Lineage OS 15.1
MSM Extended
miui 9
Dear
please use MIUI9 , this is the best ROM for LeEco Max 2,
awesome battery backup and lots of customise theme you can get in.
only one prob -it is marmallow
but it doesnt care.
rocking this rom,
use it
Those who need smoothness AOSP Extended is the best choice but it has some bugs-
Lags in games
Colour changing issue
Everything else perfect but lags in games is a deal breaker.
AOSIP will be a great choice if someone needs oreo and want the maximum stability with most of your x2, the only bad thing is it lags from last few builds, games are smooth tho.
I'm thinking to going to stock ROM, for better sound, battery, and stable smooth UI, not that laggy. But games lags on stock ROM , even Geometry dash lite lags horribly in stock ROM. Only performance issue is stopping me to use stock ROM, any solution for it?
@ThE_MarD do you have some ideas for my last question?

For gaming? I did link shiva my bardockpro GPU blobs Kang I'm unsure if he saw it or not but they do improve GPU performance.
Otherwise for lags over time? That could be thermal config needs revision... Maybe same with perf stuff
Another vote for AOSPEx. It really is a great rom.
The AospEXtended maintainer blew it when he introduced the EAS kernel - it causes lags and poor battery life. The builds after the 0417 one all became worse. So, if you still want to try it anyway, I'd recommend that one and nothing newer until he comes to his senses and reintroduces a HMP kernel or drastically reworks the EAS one...

I actually really liked the ROM. But, in its current state? No...
I'm currently using Colt OS, and I am getting 1/2 battery (or SOT) of what I get in MIUI 10.
I play PUBG at smooth-medium graphics so any suggestions for Pie ROM with good performance and battery?

In my opinion, just use Resurrection Remix OS, I know it's oreo. But it literally got no bugs in it. The battery is just great I am using this ROM for now a week I think, great perfomance and battery. I was actually thinking to flash Havoc but people said it has a reanimation bug, so I decided to go for RR instead.
Oreo roms are the best right now, because they have got better. While Pie roms are still under development and has some annoying bugs which can be bad for daily driver.
I use Nitrogen os pie as my daily driver for a while (with agni kernel), no annoying bugs, great performance, amazing battery life (compared to other pie roms). If you can live without heavy customizations (color changing is available after flashing a zip or a magisk module), than this is the best choice in my opinion.

Hi guys,
I'm a new Poco user. I've checked out the forums and saw lots of ROMs, Kernels and even Recovery software. I'm a bit overwhelmed for the first time as I'm liking stock MIUI 10 for now. Can someone enlighten me on which ROM has the most features, what ROM is the most stable, which kernels go best with which?
Stability: BaikalOS, Pixel Experience
Powersave: BaikalOS
Customizability / Extra Features: Resurrection Remix, crDroid, Havoc-OS / POSP
Performance: Nitrogen OS, crDroid
Pixel Like: Havoc-OS, Pixel Experience
These are the ones I know but haven't tested all of them. Tell me if I'm missing any.

Wow thanks. Does BaikalOS have the app cloning feature? How good is the battery life compared to MIUI 10?
best kernels
Sphinx and Franco kernel
Best roms
Lineage and stock
Stock is of course the most stable, but the beta builds always have bugs they always remove settings add settings fix something break something.

It doesn't have the app cloning and battery life is a lot better if you manage the background apps strictly but you still have to install it and test it yourself.

There is no best rom or best kernel, it all comes down to personal preference...
Lineage Pie with Franco kernel.
..and go with pixel experience only if u r into very stock version which I think is overrated given its customization limitations.
I have always hated chinese ROMs or apps, take MIUI for example they have like hundreds of apps injected into core system (miui security, miui contacts, miui dialer, miui messaging, miui this that and what not...)

Hi fellow Flip! Yeah I went with Ambasidii rom based on stock MIUI since I need the cloned app feature for ROM (Slave priest). It's rooted and has derp kernel. Battery life is quite a lot better. I was redownloading all my apps overnight and it only drained about 7% of battery life which is 1% more than full stock on idle without WiFi.
By the way, do you do a battery recalibration once you switch roms? Standby time is fantastic on mine but it seems to drain a little harder while playing ROM compared to stock.

There's no need to recalibrated when switching roms. Recommended calibrating your battery ( each month or every three months )
android phones this days use lithium-ion (Li-ion) or lithium-polymer (Li-po) batteries for Poco F1 . This batteries don’t need to be fully discharged, and come with smart chips that make calibration unnecessary and that's the good thing for us.
Just want to share this method , i do this all the time after switching custom roms.
First, drain your phone’s battery completely. Don’t charge it at any point while it’s draining. Let the phone keep working till it shuts itself off. Once the phone has shut itself off, restart it so it shuts off again. Even though the battery was at 0 percent, it has a few reserves left. Now, while the phone is off, charge it to 100 percent. It’s safe to use quick chargers for this, but make sure you hit 100 percent. Once it’s fully charged, unplug it and boot your phone. Android might not say it’s at 100 percent, and that’s okay. In that case, plug the charger again and let it get to 100 percent. then unplug it. This cycle of full drain and recharging lets the chip calibrate its readings with the battery’s charge cycle.
hope that helps:good:

Hello respected community,
I use the 6 gig 128 gig F1 varient and I recently updated to the 0.6 version of MIUI 11. Since then I have been facing major heating, lag and battery life drop. All major. And so I'd like to switch to a custom ROM asap. I understanding asking for a best ROM ain't right because there are a lot of variables to consider. I hate the animation management on MIUI 11 as it just sparks here and there at most time.
I have I list of things that would need to be checked when switching to the ROM. I'm hoping this will make it easier for you guys.
Gaming performance, Smooth Animations, Decent SoT and Minimal bugs so as to use it as a daily driver.
If needed, I can install a custom Kernal with the ROM too. I also would like to experience the new gestures of Android 10 with it.
I guess the ones that I came across were Oxygen OS, Pixel Experience, Lineage OS, Nitrogen and Havoc. Which one might be best suitable for me from your experience?
Thanks a ton in advance. Much appreciated.
AOSP:Evo x Havoc
Lineage:CRDROİD
Miuiort MiRoom ,MandFX or official MiuiPro
11.0.6.0 is an incremental update to 11.0.4.0 which has its own flaws.

Considering ur requirements 11.0.5.0 is an all rounder : root it, change kernel, reduce animation scale to 0.5x by going into developer settings.
Now talking abt custom roms, as u knw devs have limited resources, feedback, data, sample rate, testing etc as compared to xiaomi's.
I am not saying xiaomi produces flawless roms bt u think over the above points to decide.

I've been using crdroid for about a year (since pie and continued to 10) and i recently switched to havoc (both versions)
I have to say that both ROMs are great.
Havoc gapps version gives a more premium feeling (for me at least).
I'm using it with Optimus drunk kernel and my gaming experience is great ( i play injustice 2 and mortal Kombat 11 ) without any drawbacks in everyday life.
P.s. I've tested almost every option and that's what I liked the most, but bare in mind that if you don't try for your self you'll never know.
wait for couple of days,
official lineage will be released, flash it
u can use a custom kernel to improve performance

My question is which one? There are loads
Stability is my primary concern - not that fussed about all the 'whistles and bells,' just stability.
Thanks.
Pixel Experience Plus Edition.
It is well maintained, updated and STABLE.

I use Servicely and Naptime from the Play Store to reduce battery usage when on standby.
Ideally you can also underclock the kernel using FK Manager, our phone runs normal stock at around 2000mhz when at max speed but I underclocked to 1400mhz and haven't had any slowdowns or stuttering.
If I do play a game, I use stock speeds or set a gaming profile.

Just pick one that is often updated so you are not too far back on security updates. Other than that all AOSP based roms are kind of the same with some minor differences in built in customization.
