Downgraded Magisk. No I am stuck at the unlocked bootloader message screen! - OnePlus 7T Pro (Regular & McLaren) Q & A

So I was having issues hiding being rooted from PokemonGo and I couldn't play the game. A mod on reddit suggested me to downgrade Magisk to 20.1 ( I was on 20.4). Magisk installed correctly. I rebooted and am now stuck at the Unlocked Bootloader Screen. Am I a lost case? Is there anything I can do to preserve my data? Thanks a lot!

Try to flash the stock boot.img and see if your device boots properly.

Serious Trouble

I don't know what happened i was using my p 20 lite and magisk stopped working no other rooted apps was working so i thought to flash stock rom when i enter the fastboot mode there's only Written Phone Unlocked that's it. Before there was written FRP UNLOCKED but now that space is blank and my device is already unlocked. I also tried to restore backup from TWRP but it failed on 50% and when I rebooted it open the phone for 1 minute and it restart automatically.

I tried with HWOTA8 but stuck at bootloop
BUt my main problem is why frp isn't showing up?
I successfully flashed stock rom but the device keep restarting after every minute I select the language connect to wifi and then restart. I've flashed the same stock before it was working fine but now I don't know what happened I tried both ways HWOTA8 and flashing all files with fastboot but nothing happened. I guess the main reason is frp isn't showing up.

Don't install the Magisk Manager, flash only the zip with TWRP, the Magisk Manager installed is the latest version.

Magisk is poular now. Magisk is far better. It doesnt modify system.
It is systemless root. It is best to pass security checks and working for banking apps.
Supersu modifies the system.

Phone stuck on MI logo after re-rooting following forced update to Android 10

Hey guys, so I had the forced update to Android 10 about 1 month ago, and I lost root, which I didn't found about until I tried installing something today.
As this isn't my first time losing root I just followed the steps I always do on this guide (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/how-to/guide-how-to-root-mi-a3-magisk-t3958509) and I managed to successfully install TWRP, but the phone is now stuck on the orange MI logo when I reboot to system. Someone pls help!
Edit: For anyone curious, I just used the Fix Recovery Bootloop inside TWRP and it worked! I still don't have root tho...
Edit 2: After trying to flash Magisk installer for the second time I determined it to be the problem. Can anyone help me with that?
Use the magisk patched boot.img from here that corresponds with your firmware version and follow to guide to flash in fastboot https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/how-to/guide-how-to-root-mi-a3-magisk-t3958509/page40

What Magisk modules do you have installed? They might be preventing the phone to boot up.

Afaik the only module I HAD installed before the forced update was Smali patcher for POGO. But I can't check the modules now because the option isn't there in the manager.

Well, the module "only" patches framework from the phone, so you're trying to boot Android 10 system with Android 9 framework. It doesn't get uninstalled automatically even if you remove Magisk from boot image.
Either flash Magisk uninstaller from TWRP or flash correct patched boot file, connect phone to the PC, type in this command and reboot the phone.
adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modules

Help with Pocophone F1 ROOT

I have a pocophone f1 which I attempted to root.
I already unlocked it using my MI account with MI unlocker on windows.
I installed TWRP 3.2, as well as SupersU.zip in TWRP.
I go and check root access using various root checker apps from playstore but i have no root access. One of them says that my supersu $Path does not contain a binary.
I tried uninstalling superSu using the supersSu uninstaller.zip in TWRP and then attempted flashing magisk, but i got the error about patched boot image. I wiped everything and then flashed stock global ROM for miui 11. Still i get the patched boot image when trying to flash magisk.
Any ideas?

Just uninstall SuperSU root and root again with magisk! There is unroot option in the SuperSU app which you have to use or:

My POV: Noone needs to install TWRP to root phone's Android.

It's clear that something has gone very wrong. Instead of wasting time with troubleshooting, I recommend that you restore the phone to its original state via re-flashing its Stock ROM and when that's done retry to root its Android the proper way.
FYI: Once TWRP got installed on phone, you can't get rid off of it unless you re-flash phone's Stock ROM.

You don't have to disable encryption to use magisk. Atleast I think from my experience.
This is the step-by-step tutorial.
1. Flash this global stock miui with TWRP. https://c.mi.com/in/miuidownload/detail?device=1700355 (if this is not the official ROM please correct me, there are a lot of fakes there)
2. Flash Magisk with TWRP. Download and flash it from this github repo. DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT FROM ANYWHERE ELSE!
