no mobile data? - Sony Xperia 1 Questions & Answers

I've had my Xperia 1 since January and it only started not connecting to mobile data. My sim card is fine I tried it on my other phone (oneplus 7) and mobile data worked just fine, both phones are on android 10.
I tried sony companion for software repair and it didn't do anything.
Funny thing is when i activate my hotspot AND connect to my xperia with another phone it works just fine, the other phone has internet connection , but not my Xperia.

mobile data enable problem

on LG optimus L9 P760 with the latest android jb lg stock without any modifications (i just use the europe jb instead of the german version that was the preinstalled in my phone),
i have this strange problem, in my phone mobile data and wifi is always enabled, when i am in wifi range it connects normal to the wifi, when i go away from the wifi spot, it doesnt connects to the mobile data, even if i toggle on/off mobile data it still doesnt connects.
The solution to this is to make phone in airplane mode, then to switch to online state and then the mobile data is enabled.
Its really anoying cause everytime i have to select offline mode, then online and then the mobile data is working.
Anyone else has this issue ?
only me has this problem ??? i have to test with another sim card then, maybe it is a carrier problem...

[Q] How to tether WiFi connection via USB

Hi! Greetings and so on...
I have an old backup phone running Cyanogenmod 7.2 that I very occasionally use. Now, however, I got a new PC (actually, second-hand) which is great, but it does not have a WiFi card.
I was thinking that I could connect that old phone via USB and use it as a WiFi card of sorts.
However, it seems that tethering the phone will only share the mobile data plan, and not the WiFi connection.
Is there some way that I can thether the phone to share ONLY its WiFi data, and not its mobile data? I could not find a Play Store app that does stuff like this...
Thanks!

I had this exact same issue but after all it was just a brain fart (mea culpa!); it turns out I had my router configured to not accept new terminals automatically so the phone was never going to connect to the router, so I just turned off the option and that's it

[Q] wifi disconnects after few second and cant connect again

Hi guys,
so here is my problem, i have Xperia Z2 with 5.0.2 Android.
Everything worked fine for few months wifi connected automatically to my home network, but yesterday it stopped working. It connects for maybe 5 seconds and then disconnects. When i try to connect i need add password and then it connects for few seconds and disconnects again.
I had the same problem with my old router few months ago. Phone was connecting without any problems for months and then one day it stopped.
It was some old TPLink model, now i have TP Link W8790. The same scenario after few weeks ;(
I havent changed anything in modem settings, the same with phone.
Any other devices like my 3 laptops, and 2 other phones have no problem with connection.
My xperia connects to other networks without any problems.
I was looking for solutions everywhere.
I ve done all resetting device, changing modem settings etc.
Could You please help me with this one?
Which secruity has your Wifi? Did you try changing the password?
Yup, i've done everyting with my router, with reset and change passwords. Encryption is set to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK. I discovered today that my phone disconnects with my friend's network as well, but it worked fine few days ago. In fact i remember that I connected with that network and then when I came home, my phone started to disconnects from my network. Both are 2.4Ghz networks. It must be phone issue . It works on 5Ghz with network in my work... but at the same time it cant be 2,4 issue since i connected to AP which my friend created from his phone.. thats crazy. Is there any possibility to reset wifi card on mobile?
Did u try a factory reset on your phone? Did you OTA-Update from your provider or flashed a FTF for 5.0.2
I havent tried to restore fabric setting, I dont think its a solution, because it stopped working one day ( few days after i paired my device with sony wristband swr10, i dont know if it matters) and then after 2 months not working, i changed my router.. worked for 1 month and now the same problem with new router Update came from provider.

PC drops off Android Hotspot

Hi,
I have purchased a new HTC Desire 10 Pro running Android 6.0 (no updates required) and I am connecting my Windows 10 PC to the hotspot for internet access. For some unknown reason, the PC loses internet access periodically while connected to the hotspot. It definitely seems to be the fault of the phone because:
1. This never happened on the previous phone, it started happening as soon as I bought the new phone and installed the SIM in it.
2. When I try the same sim in a spare phone, it never drops out, so it's not the SIM/phone carrier or PC.
3. I also tried a different USB WiFi adapter in my PC and it still fails, so not the PC.
Any suggestions as to what I should do?
