ZenasModUI (for Android 9 ONLY)
What's this?
This module corrects some mismatches and annoyances in the UI elements of ZenUI 6, because of course Asus was too lazy to do it themselves. See the below list for the exact changes.
Features
- Status bar padding on either side has been reduced
- Padding between icons is now more consistent
- Size of signal cluster icons (Wi-Fi and mobile data) are now more consistent with other system icons

Yes, I can do that, but it seems that the icons are not as inconsistent with Android 10. Also, I personally have issues while running Android 10, such as overheating and low battery life, which is why I went back to Android 9. I have another device on the way, so I would be able to focus on some more modding without affecting my daily driver. Due to the pandemic though, this has been delayed by several weeks.
If you want, just let me know what you'd like to see changed in Android 10 and I can investigate how to get it done.
Thanks for checking out my mod.
i'm mostly interested in removing status bar padding on the edges. everything else i wanted i managed to do on my own. but it seems like asus changed something in their android 10 update and you can't change stuff like on a pure android phone. like Pixels

Oh I see. I will definitely be doing a version of this mod for Android 10, but might take me some more time.
Sry for the offtopic, guys... but do you know some way to put Gestures (fluid, like Quickswitch) in A9?
thanks
Thanks! Any other mods ?
hey, would you mind sharing which files you changed to get rid of status bar padding? i'm trying to do it on my own on android 10 but have no idea which files to modify inside the system ui apk

Thanks for this - looks great! Am a fan of the windows icons and this works really well. Looks very tidy and the amended brightness / volume sliders are a lot nicer than stock.
My one request would be whether it's possible to hide the "Alarm Set" icon in the status bar, via a choice in Aroma?
Thanks for the continued hard work!
Hello,
Very thanks for your work.
I installed but it overlaps icons when it desactivated network mobile:
Works for 10 c too... Thanks my friend
Verstuurd vanaf mijn LG-H815 met Tapatalk
Any hope of applying this via flashfire or layers manager for us that are bootloader locked? Or perhaps we can extract the zip and manually copy to contents over to the overlay folder?
If no one has tried yet I'll guinea pig it and report back. I'm just unsure how the aroma install is going to affect the process.
hi do u guys know of any theme that would look like typical AOSP?
its best design mate thanx
wil this work by flashing it with flashfire?
came from a htc phone and my lgg4 bootloader still cant be unlocked to instal recovery
So after I flashed a custom ROM with UX 5.0 (G5 icons), I really started to like those "slightly rounded box" icons.
I then installed the V10 camera app for manual video, and ofc had to look at the 'old square' icon . . .
So for what its worth I started to make new ones. Maybe you like them too?
Trying to keep that stock LG "look & feel" I extracted an original 192x192px icon from an APK and traced a vector of the "rounded box" shape outline as a starting point.
For now I only made "slightly rounded box" V10 Camera Port and Chrome versions, but
I will add more (Google Mail, Youtube, WhatsApp, WeChat, XDA Labs, . . . ) in the future!!
Also feel free to ask for something you might want!
How to use:
1) Download the attachment from this post.
2) Extract .zip and copy the images to your device.
3) Use the stock launcher function to replace the icons (tap and hold icon on homescreen, release, tap little "paint brush" icon, select image).
4) Enjoy!

I found this extremely useful app for people who like to play around with themes.
This app lets you customize minute details of any EMUI theme.

Are you able to customise the theme??
Initially I tried to use an existing theme and changed the fonts, it saved the new theme... But no changes appeared when I applied the theme.

Yes, able to customize.
Please check if it over wrote the existing theme. That could probably be the reason.
Otherwise, everything works as described.

sure. it can be done, but the home button will loose the pixel animation. will be in the next update ( do you wan the same icons for recent and back too ? )
The last and the back are not necessary, just the center button. Thank you so much for your work.
Dear the V30 navbar didn't get fixed in the last update I was too excited to update the app but the navbar still small and home button still smaller than back and recent
Test build for Redmi K20 pro
I am far from the pc, so this test build will be a backup for tvrp. The next firmware will be in the classic installation form.
Test assembly Hydrogen OS OB3 Android 10.
I fixed:
- brightness;
- Auto brightness;
- Video recording;
- Dark theme;
- Remove the traveling camera (**** fix apk);
- Awakening the screen with your hand above the screen (**** fix apk);
- Awakening the screen with a double tap (**** fix apk eating a charge);
- fixed the sound;
- fixed 3g / lte internet;
- Made a grid of 6 columns in quick settings;
The system works very fast. The charge holds well. It turned out 7 hours of screen on lte.
Bugs:
- FOD;
-Wi-Fi. The bug appears individually. For some users, everything works fine (I reveal the pattern of the bug);
- Pop up (Fixed by application)
Installation Instructions:
The firmware is presented as a backup for TWRP. You need to unzip the archive and upload files along the TWRP / backup / blablabla / Hydrogen OS path. Restore in twrp
Many thanks to comrade @NeFeroN A great person who is always ready to help and helps.
