I have a stock redmi note 5, that yesterday it turned off suddenly and don't want to start anymore (when is starting, in the second screen loading the system, it suddenly turns off).
I tried to start the recovery menu, go to Connect with MIAssistant, but the Mi Pc Suite does not recognize the phone (I tried with another phone and doesn't work too, seems problem of xiaomi).
Anyone knows another way to make a backup before I try to make a full wipe data?
Thanks!

My Rooted Nexus 7 was working perfectly. Now I am not sure If it is Soft Bricked or something else is wrong with it, It was charging one day and I took it off one micro usb charger and put it on another Nexus 7 charger. I went back and turned it on, Now it was stuck in bootloop, I have seen bootloops before, but not like this. It turns on and goes to the lock screen, then after a few second it freezes then restarts. I have been able to quickly log in boot into safe mode but it still freezes and restarts, I made it to the app menu once and then it sad , Unfortunately Launcher has stopped, I have cleared the cache and dalvik cache and nothing works, I have bootloader version 4.1.3 and CWM version 6.0.1.9, I have tried to format tablet and factory reset with cwm recovery but when I turn it back on I still see my stuff and I still reboots, I have tried to restore from a backup from a while ago with cwm but it fails. I tried to use nexus toolkit but I dont remember my version and I cant check, I gave it a guess but It can not find my device when plugged in, even in recovery mode, It said something about fastboot but i think i did that but I am not 100% sure what it is, I need to get this workig again fast.
Hi, I recently rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and everything was working fine. A couple of months later, I put the tablet in airplane mode because I didn't want to drain the battery when I wasn't at home. When I got home and removed it off airplane mode, the device appeared to be frozen so I held the power down to restart it; this normally fixed most issues I've had with it.
Only this time, it boots to the screen with the Samsung logo and is just stuck there. I was wondering since I did root my tablet, is there any way to restart it properly without doing a factory reset which will cause me to lose all my data/apps, etc...
Did you try to restart device from recovery?
Could you please describe what you mean by boot to recovery?
Hold power+volume down, you will be directed to recovery, there choose reboot device, if that wont help try factory reset, or flash stock rom through Odin
Any solutions that would not wipe the data?
If not is there a way for me to access the data and save it prior to me doing the factory wipe like hooking it up to my pc and transferring the data?
I have recovery but noticed I never took a backup. I am wondering if I did a backup now and did a factory wipe; would it wipe out the recovery/root? If not; would I be able to restore the backup and get my data back?
I tried the wiping cache but no luck; still just goes to the logo screen and no further.

I had this same problem on my tab. However, I just got out of it using the RECOVERY mode as was explained above.
It will not wipe your data. Just choose the option to reboot the system and that will fix it for you. I had same concern about wiping my data so when I saw that reboot option, I selected it and it has helped to rectify my issues. My tab has finally boot completely and I'm once again able to use my tab.
I have an SM-925A that has never been rooted or had custom rom installed and it is stuck on the at&t logo after a random reboot happened. Unfortunately there is data on the phone that needs to be recovered, specifically photos that were not backed up. I've had no success with getting this phone to boot back up. I'm more interested in recovery the data then fixing the phone.
Current Symptoms:
Phone boots
Shows Samsung logo
Shows white background with AT&T Logo that animates for a moment
Stays stuck on this screen indefinitely.
Attempted solutions:
Volume Down and Power button reset attempted multiple times with same result after reboot
Draining battery entirely until the phone shuts off, charging and then booting back up, same result
Wipe cache partition from android recovery (stock recovery)
Attempted to sideload teh 6.0.1 OTA update (SS-G925AUCU3BOJ9-to-U3CPD6-UP) , but the phone is already updated and i got this message:
"Package expects build fingerprint of samsung/zerolteuc/zerolteatt:5.1.1/LMY47X/G925AUCU3BOJ9:user/release-keys or samsung/zerolteuc/zerolteatt:6.0.1/MMB29K/G925AUCU3CPD6:user/release-keys; this device has samsung/zerolteuc/zerolteatt:6.0.1/MMB29k/G925AUC"
"E:Error in /sideload/package.zip"
"(Status 7)"
"Installation aborted"
Any suggestions on how to recover the photos on this device? Again fixing this device is not the issue, its recovering the photos.
Have you tried to connect to smart swich pc?
Sounds like stuck in a bootloop and the only fix is flashing stock firmware.
One thing to ask... did you use google photos? It should have them backed up if so?

No google photos was turned off for some reason. Can flashing stock firmware be done without wiping the data?

Unfortunately not mate. As when device boots up you will have to set up as new phone or restore from backup. But as you said google photos was off.
Stock firmware will wipe everything.
Have you tried connecting to pc and opening as folders? Can you connect to pc with latest drivers?
Hello guys, here is the thing that happened to me. One day my Huawei P9 Lite started lagging and suddenly I couldn't even turn Wifi, bluetooth, mobile data or anything on. I couldn't even open the settings app. So I decided to factory reset the phone from recovery screen while booting. Factory reset resulted as successful, but after the reboot I got into first set up screen where I can only get over 2 steps where I come to choose my region and here is where it all lands. When I press next, it looks like going to next step but there is black screen for a second and it turns back to choosing region. I tried using all the regions but nothing. Next thing, I wanted to use download mode to reflash the device using downloaded stock firmware but I couldn't move the file to phone because the phone was not fully loaded. Next thing I tried was that I used ADB to push a file to computer and I got error. I have all drivers installed properly. Then I used Fastboot and rescue mode, where it says that my phone's bootloader is unlocked but when I try to flash device, it says 'Command not allowed'. I found on internet that I have to turn on debugging mode in settings but I can't start the phone so I don't know what to do.
Please help me, I don't know what else to do
Thank you very much
Hi all, i'm stuck at a black screen (completely off screen, even no retroillumination) after a rom change.....
I am under a fully unlocked device, unlocked bootloader, root, usb debug on and with a miui IT (kind of a conversion from miui eu) and working fine for almost 2 years. From 2 months i'm changing rom trying the best for me, the last one was BlissRom. I've just make a backup of miui it rom trought twrp, then wiped system, data, cache and dalvik, like i do everytime even on other devices.
But today at 14:00 i left the blissed tab at 60% battery just after the first android setup, no personal apps installed, and at 19:00 was completely dead, so thinking in a huge battery drain, i've connect the tablet in charging, made a wipe in twrp before restoring the backup made a 14:00 of the original miui. When done, i've rebooted system and i've surprisly got a bootloop, so i've jump in again in twrp, made another full wipe and recovered backup. Again bootloop.... I was able to enter download mode, so when there, i turned off, but it never have turned on again.
Here we have the mistake, i think.... The last full wipe i made, was very full, even the persist partition. I really don't remember if i have check the tickbox of persist, but i'm 80% sure i do...
The only thing it do now, is when i connect to computer, i hear the windows sound of a connected device and it has installed a driver called --Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E (COM3)--
The last thing i want to do is test point, if you have any ideas to unbrick this piece of garbage, you're welcome!!!
EDIT: Just downloaded and installed miflash, and i am able to see mi pad connected, and if testpoint is the last hope, guide me to a tutorial pls...
EDIT:
DUNNO what happen, i was attempting to teardown it and it blinked the mi logo.... i quickly run into twrp and i'm flashing the miui it rom, and i'll left it charging for some... i'll keep you updated.
It has self rebooted successfully to miui it.....probably was only a battery fault, but when the screen was off, i wasn't able to charge it, twrp says battery percentage 1% after 1 hour of charging
