Hi guys
I've seen that many people are interested to get anx camera working. I'm on newest syberia and anx is working.
But I'm wondering why all wanna have this app.
In my comparision anx cam to gcam there's for me a clear winner (you'll see a big difference if you zoom in the pictures) :

I've tested in the same area by night and by day.
Both apps are many time adjusted to get the best result of each app.
May there's someone who uses another app with good pucture quality but for the moment gcam 7.3.018 is my favorite.

I agree with you on photo quality.
However stock cam supports better portrait mode, ultra wide camera video recording, manual mode, pixel peaping, etc...
Gcam focuses on quality of standard features, MIUI camera focuses on widening features. There are times MIUI camera has advantages over Gcam, so having both is a better idea than just to pick one.

Hey guys,
since I got my OnePlus 3 and changed to CM13 Rom (Android 6.0.1) the camera isn't that good.
Also the Oxygen Camera isn't the best regarding to the less setting options.
Since I ever wondered which might be the best android camera app I now decided to start this thread.
I've searched for hours and informed me about the topic as good as I could but without any acceptable results.
What do I especially mean with "best camera app"?
It's not those nonsense features like filters or something that I need.
I am searching for a camera app which main feature is really based on taking photos in best quality
and having most possible setting options in order to that.
The best result I found seems to be the Camera FV-5
Do you have camera apps for android which are even better?
Thanks in advance, guys

i simply use candy for selfies
I know this is a bit late, but have you tried Open Camera? It's a great open source camera that has many features to control, such as fixed/auto focus, iso, resolution, timer, burst, white balance, scenes, color effects, shooting in raw, exposure bracketing for HDR, and more.
Hey,
I'm using lineage for over 3 weeks now and I'm very happy with everything except the camera.
I had CM13 Sultan before and the overall picture quality was much better + i managed to get the google camera to work so i had the google camera for snapshots and the "sultan camera" for manual mode.
Now on Lineage things are a bit different. The built in camera isnt great for both, snapshots or manual shots and the picture quality is also not as good. I flashed the OOS 3 camera zip but now HDR doesnt work anymore for me..
What camera App / Librarys do you use to get the most out of your opx with lineage?
i have tried lot of apps like miui camera v1.7,google camera, moto cam, etc.But they dont give desired results on any custom rom.
best app i have found is HTC camera ,having front hdr mode
if you know any app for best front camera quality ,please answer
I got the latest gcam versions working on mix 3 so gonna share it here
Sanity:

BSG:

Will Attach Sample Images Later
The Sanity apk worked for me but BSG kept closing. Thanks very much!
Everything seems to be working without any issues - it has some cool camera modes not in the stock camera.
I will use this for the night sight because I hear it's better than MIUI's version.
But I'll keep MIUI camera for front facing pictures:
gcam front facing flash lights up screen rather than uses the torch at the front.
In gcam settings, front camera photo resolution maximum is 6.2 megapixels instead of 24MP.
gcam has digital zoom! This is good - stock doesn't have digital zoom.
Does anyone have any opinion on MIUI camera vs gcam for daytime pictures though (mix 3)? It's night time here so I can't compare yet.
Looks like gcam does not use the optical zoom (2x) like stock does. Only digital zoom available. So stock camera may be better here for far away shots.

Using the telephoto lens is different on GCam 6.2 version, it was easier on previous versions. IIRC, you have to go to settings (settings > advanced > on the bottom there is a "Switch to the auxiliary back camera" switch) every time you want to use the telephoto lens. A bit annoying but there's nothing we can do about that, I'm afraid.
I saw that all the threads about anxcamera got closed because they contained links to the anxcamera website, violating rule 13, which is why I won't be posting any links here. I just hope to be able to discuss ANXCamera tips and tricks in this thread, just like we can in the gcam thread.
There is now an ANXCamera version available for android R, which is great for the people on aosp custom roms. I am particularly interested in ANXCamera for the wide angle lens because gcam doesn't do wide angle lens distortion correction as of now, and the MIUI camera also has a little more options for video recording. The video recording for the main lens works really well, all 1080p and 4k modes work, also their AI 8k whatever that is works fine. For some reason EIS only appears to be working on [email protected], [email protected], it doesn't work at all for 4k and [email protected] Most of the alternative modes on the main camera, panorama slowmotion etc seem to work fine. 64MP seems to give me an overly saturated (like it's deepfried) image and the night mode processes infinitely. On top of that, no AUX lenses appear to be working. Portrait mode doesn't work, wide angle lens crashes the camera and there is no option for the macro lens. At least the front camera works fine, I usually prefer it over gcam for selfies because gcam shows too much detail in selfies. All my testing is done on the derpfest R rom with the latest firmware.
So in short, ANXCamera for R is pretty broken right now and I would only use it for selfies and video recording in some cases.
Too bad this discussion did not get any replies yet.
@GalaxyTroll, which version of ANXCamera did you test? I noticed on the website that in the changelog of v204 lmi is mentioned, but the wiki states that it still needs to be tested on this device.
I'm hesitating to test this version myself, because due to personal circumstances I might not be able to restore my phone in case something goes wrong and for now I'm totally depending on it. Did anybody try v204 on the Poco F2 Pro?
I'm on Lineageos 18.1.
The version I tested here was 185R by Noid. I also just tested version 190R (on 19-09 crdroid) and it's still pretty bad, in some ways worse than 185R. For starters, EIS doesn't appear to be working at all anymore. "Steady Mode" can only record in [email protected] and even then it's not even applying EIS. The only available video options are [email protected] [email protected] and [email protected] and those work fine, but I couldn't find a 4k option so I think it's gone.. H265 encoding doesn't work although H264 works fine. Slowmotion and timelapse modes seem to be working just like in the previous version.
As for photos, wide angle lens is still broken but this time "super macro" switches to the macro lens so that works now. Portrait mode does seem to work this time, and it seems to apply the bokeh effect correctly. Panorama mode still works as well. However 64M mode still produces wayy overexposed photos and Night Mode results in a "cannot connect to camera" error.
Props to Noid for making this mod. but for our device it's still a long ways off. Too bad that EIS doesn't work at all anymore because video recording was one of the things anxcamera could do possibly better than gcam.
btw @heinhuiz v204 does not work at all when I tested it, it's not even able to connect to the main camera and the app just closes.
