Stereo speakers? - LG V60 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Before i bought it, I've heard in some reviews that it have stereo speakers. I don't need it because after G7's boombox speaker nothing will be the same, but only "main" playing while Youtube or Tidal is on. During phonecall everything works. Is that issue or it should be like that?

Does it have a Stereo Mic?

Does the S2 have a stereo mic, and does anyone know how well it handles loud music when video recording.
I currently have the HD2 and have always been impressed with how the mic handles very loud music, no distortion, and good bass on playback through av amp. I have no idea if the HD2 mic is stereo though.
According the Phonearena review it does (not final hardware mind you).

There was one review (can't remember it though sorry, so I can not link you to it) that clearly said the Mic sensitivity on the SGSII was much improved over the SGS.
Recording at concerts or parties was greatly improved in the sound recorded.
Any update on this? Anyone with an SGS2 who can shed some light on the sound during video recording? How well does it really handle loud environments?

Headphone vs Headset Volume/Sound Quality Differences

Hello all,
Just a curiosity I noticed. When using the included headphones with the in-line mic, the sound quality is really very good and the volumes far higher. However, when I try to use my Sennheiser HD 202-II headphones, I notice that the sound volume decreases greatly. For instance, what used to be loud at 12/30 with the headset, doesn't get loud until 22/30. I know it's a small annoyance, but the sound quality seems to suffer as well. Or maybe it's just the fact that I'm coming from a Zune HD whose quality spoiled me completely?
Anyway, was wondering if this could be alleviated by buying a pair of headphones with an in-line microphone. Can anyone recommend any? This Sony set is definitely intriguing (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=467128533&pf_rd_i=468294) but there aren't any reviews yet.
Thanks for any suggestions.
It's more likely due to differences in impedance and sensitivity - I have no problem with earbuds that do not have an inline mic.
For headphones with low sensitivity, consider an external headphone amp like one of the FiiO amps.
Thanks, didn't realize the included earbuds had an in-line mic. I bought a pair of Klipsch s4's that improve the sound a great deal. I don't think I'd ever need a mic, the one built into the player seems to pick up very well.

Sound quality

I should receive my prime this week but I'm wondering about sound quality.
My music library is in lossless and i have a damn good pair of headphones (monster turbine copper. Not the shady beasts by monster) I'm also using Poweramp.
Should i expect excellent sound or you guys experienced disappointing result with your tablet

I don't know how many audiophiles we have here on the Prime forums, I haven't seen a lot of discussion over sound quality aside from people mentioning that the Prime's speaker sounds pretty good for videos, and discussion around the fact that both of the Prime's speakers are on the same side.
I have never had an issue with sound quality, but take that with a grain of salt since iPod ear buds also sound fine to me
Yes, the speakers are great. As for the headphone port, its pretty much just a headphone port. If you like your ear buds, you'll be fine. I've got Klipsch earbuds and Bose headphones. Absolutely no problems and there shouldn't be. Also, your app should have equalizers for adjusting.

[Q] External Microphone in Headset Jack?

There are some external stereo microphones for IOS that plug into the headphone jack rather than the dock connector. For instance, the IK Multimedia iRig MIC Cast.
They claim that they work on Android as well.
Well, they may work, but do they provide better sound quality than the internal phone microphone, turning it into a decent digital recorder for music, for example? (with the right software, of course).
My question isn't really whether those microphones are better quality than the internal microphones, as I assume they are. But does the headphone jack on Android phones (mine is the Galaxy S4) really provide the input capability for better quality sound, including in stereo?
Of course that jack can transfer sound in both directions, headset and microphone, as it is a phone. For output, the phone provides quality stereo music output to headphones, as modern phones are also music players. However, the microphones on phone stereo headsets are generally low quality monaural microphones only suitable for phone calls, usually not better than the internal microphone, might be worse.
So the question is--is the input function of that jack capable of providing quality stereo input, if one has a quality stereo microphone attached? (No matter how good quality the microphone is, if that jack really cannot transmit that quality sound, but reduces it to a very low resolution and frequency-reduced monaural sound, no point at all in attaching such a microphone.
Anyone know about the input capabilities of the headphone jacks on Android phones. (If it varies from phone to phone, then how about mine, the Galaxy S4?)
Thanks in advance for your input.
Anyone?
Excellent line of thought. Where are the audiophiles? This may be a better option than an expensive Rode mic.

Headphone Static

Anyone have white noise when using headphones? I hear it when using an in-ear type of noise isolating ear buds, and only hear it when the audio is active (ie whenever the table is making a sound like adjusting volume, keyboard touch sounds), but otherwise is dead quiet. I can also hear it over quiet music, but otherwise I guess the music covers it up.
Quick update. Tried with a different pair of headphones. Definitely better. I am sure the white noise is there, but I can't hear it with this pair of headphones.
Haven't notice this with, say, the nexus 5.
Yeah, I'm having the same issue with any low impedance headphones. When listening to silent music or videos I can nearly not hear it over the noise. On every action I make the headphones are activated and I instantly hear the white noise.
Also the volume for the headphones is pretty high (levels 1-3 are bearable but above it's too loud, and level 1 is too loud when in a silent environment). I don't know if it's a software issue, but it's definitely making using headphones horrible.
Tried this with Apple EarPods and Sennheiser In-Ear headphones. It's better with open headphones but unbearable with in-ear.

Yes i am getting a lot of noise with in-ear headphones too.
I guess for now only high impedance headphones will be silent.
I also get this on my Bluetooth headphones. Same thing on my Nexus 7.
