I got an Aurora II yesterday and I want to update the rom to the newest one of official rom (Android 4.1.1 20121210, accroding the internet) or android 4.2.2 custom rom (or maybe newer?), but resources I found are all dead.

Who can help me to find kernels who are compatible with android jelly bean 4.2.1??????
There are none!
Samsung haven't released the kernel source code so no one can make a kernel. Samsung release the code a while after releasing the rom, which unless I've missed something - they haven't released yet either
Edit... you're not taking about Google Android 4.2.1 btw. You're talking about Samsung builds based on android 4.2.1 which is a completely different thing.

Installation MIUI on Galaxy S3 with Samsung stock 4.3 rom

Hello gentlemen, I have Galaxy S3 and I have there stock rom from samsung android version 4.3 (specifically i9300XXUGNA8) and I would like to try a MIUI rom. So if I downgrade it, the telephone was not work - especially signal from operator. Does anyone have any advice or some guidance on how the stock Samsung rom to MIUI. Thanks for the advice. I've used the MIUI rom for s3, and trust me, it's really good. The only downside is that you have to downgrade to android version 4.2.2 which is CM based. The latest version is based on 4.2.2, not 4.1.1
You have to do this:
1) Root your s3 following a proper guide. There are plenty on the net. Just google it.
2) Install a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP or Philz Touch recovery.
3) Download the MIUI rom from their official website en.miui.com
4) Flash the rom using the recovery.
Done. Hope this helped

[Q] I cluess and don't know which custom rom to pick

(subject meant to be: I am clueless and....)
Hello there folks.
I checked some of the custom-roms here for a samsung galaxy s 3.
(Installed a C.M on moto g.... got it to 4.4 and then upgraded to 5.x and hardbricked it life is funny )
Can anyone tell me how to choose a Rom ? (there is a sheer number of roms to choose from)
They all seem nice I know that some come with KitKat and some come with 5.x.
Any recommendations for a stable Rom ?
Any recommendation for a Rom with a new OS (5.x) ? (even a less stable one )
And is it okay if I follow the instructions for installing a Rom from the official site of C.M ?
Any tips on how to backup ?
Here are the list of roms I found so far (there way too many)(open to new suggestions)
NamelessROM 2.1
RESURRECTION REMIX 5.4.8[CM12.1][OPTIMIZED]
JustArchi CyanogenMod 12.1 for i9300
Blekota Note 4 Lite ROM for Galaxy S3 (I9300)
Archidroid 2
temasek's UNOFFICIAL CM12.1 BUILDS
Thanks for answers and have a good day.

How Could I upgrade a Letab917 from 4.2 to 4.4 or Upper ROM?

Hi!
A friend has a tablet Leotec LETAB917 with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and he needs the versión 4.4 Kitkat in order to use some App that aren't available for Jelly Bean. I have searched information on the official website, fórums, etc. And I haven't found ROMs with Android 4.4 or upper. Do you know some ROM with 4.4 for this tablet? Or Are there some guide to cook a ROM with 4.4 or upper?
Thanks!!
I have found this guide to do http://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/guide-android-rom-development-t2814763
And I don't understand where I can find the information that I need to continue with the guide:
1) Device Tree
2) Vendor
3) Kernel
Could you help me, please?

Is possible to make an Android 7

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I would ask you a question (maybe you can help). I have a wiko pulp 4g with stock rom that is Android 5.1 lollipop. I was thinking if was possible to make a custom rom of Android 7.1 for my phone. Searching around the web I found some guides (mainly on this forum) but they tells that for making a 7.1 rom I need a 7.1 base rom and a 7.1 port rom. My question is: is it possible to make a custom rom for my wiko pulp starting from a 5.1 rom and a 7.1 port rom (maybe lineageos or pixel stock rom)? Thanks in advance.
