Hey guys,
im on oos 10.0.7 and i want to replace the gapps with microg. I would like to keep oos, because its running great with the arter kernel.
I´ve used the debloater module on magisk, but im stuck in bootloop after removing some google and oneplus stuff (list of debloated apps attached). My second problem is that i cant get signature spoofing to work.
Maybe someone tried this before and could lend me a helping hand.
Thanks
I would advise you to use a custom ROM as it will be much easier to use microG and signature spoofing. Heavily debloating OOS results in dozens of error messages and issues as apps that are meant to work with each other won't do that anymore.
It definitely could work but it is far more complicated and maybe even impossible to get it fully functional. Just my advice though

I've been switching between numerous ROM's for the past few days and STILL haven't found a good enough one.
What I want from a rom is:
Xposed PREINSTALLED
Completely stock UI experience like this ROM: h.ttp://en.miui.com/thread-178615-1-1.html
Clearmotion and miravision
Root Access
Bloatware isn't a problem if you have root.
In fact if anyone knows a method for how to install Xposed on the above mentioned ROM please get in contact with me!
Otherwise I'm interested to hear your opinion!
[EDIT]: Found it!! This ROM is exactly what I'm after, HDR doesn't work but who cares?

The only reason I didn't get this earlier was because it looked like a terrible theme and other awful tweaks were applied but seems it's pretty stock. Xposed works flawlessly and slow mo recording offers better options.
Anyone else in the same boat as me, download it now!!
No such rom exists, sorry.
The best way to go would be to install the hybrid-firmware by Jo-san and then install Xposed yourself.
There are Alpha versions of Xposed that support sdk21 on Arm64 when using AOSP.

Hello,
I want to personalize my mido.
So i think that the best way is to install base(rom) and add some mods.
1. What's rom should be good for base? The more compability the better. Maybe LOS 14.1?
2. What about kernel? Stock or something other? I need stability.
3. Root... magisk
4. Do I need xposed?
5. Good mod for camera. I need manual focus and iso working. Can be bacon camera, but i need these options - I dont have it on epic rom/moded miui.
6. Audio mod - I dont have any idea.
So, can you help?
The easiest way to personalize Miui is a launcher and an icon pack. Other things, like Magisk, for me, is a way of having more privileges to make things that , other way, you could not.
What rom you must use, well, it is up to you. You must think of the things you have with stock rom (Miui) or another rom, like Lineage or RR. Personally I like very much miui and I do not need pure android because many things a use in my day by day are in MIUI and If I would change rom I would have to install apks for them
About Xposed, I think is not optimiced for Miui but for others rom like RR or Lineage.
To change Miui, install Xposed or Magisk, you must unlock the bootloader and take some risks.
Hey there.
I am not a novice to Android but by no means do I understand how it all works in the background. So I need a little help understanding something that to me is not so obvious.
I have a phone, Huawei P8 Lite, which I haven't installed any GApps after I flashed a LOS 14.1 rom.
I mostly use F-Droid apps on it but occasionally I install a random Playstore app using Aurora Store (fork of YALPS).
Now, while most stuff on F-Droid is pretty seamless to install&use, the same is not exactly true regarding Playstore stuff which usually mentions the need for Google Services Framework (GSF) if memory serves me well. And since I don't have GApps, I don't have "GSF".
I know that some apps that require "GSF" still work apparently fine without "GSF".
But there are some other apps that mention requiring "GSF" and that actually fail to work. Regarding these latter apps, is there any workaround to make these apps work without installing GApps?
I know there's a pico and nano version of GApps, but even those install stuff on my phone that I really would rather not have installed in there.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers

Hello,
I have searched entire XDA, but every rom has some kind of bug which makes it unstable for daily run. I am looking for a daily driver, with these things :
1. Good battery backup
2. Fingerprint
3. MAGISK with Xposed
4. No SE Linux bugs
I'm even okay with Color OS, but i have heard Magisk modules don't work with stock Color OS. And GSI doesn't support fingerprint
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I thought it was worth it to install MicroG via Nanodroid as an alternative to GApps. But I'm coming to regret it. There are just too many things not working right. And on some of my devices, I've found that GApps can be successfully tamed back so that it doesn't drain all my resources. So is there a way to uninstall MicroG, and I mean just the MicroG components, and install GApps instead? (Just the Pico version.) I know I could just clean install the operating system and then reinstall all my apps, but that's annoying, pardon my French. Is there a way to just install GApps at this stage? Do I absolutely need to go back to a virgin OS and have GApps installed before first boot?
Using Samsung Tab S (chagallwifi) running Resurrection Remix (Nougat).
@FailSafeNow
AFAIK there are no guides anywhere about how to uninstall microG completely and reinstall Gapps successfully. If someone could write such a guide I'm sure that would help a lot of people.
I'm using /e/ OS on Xperia X5 Compact.
MicroG came originally with /e/ OS and I don't know how to flash GApps instead. After all, MicroG neither doesn't work after I tried to uninstall it!
Take a look at this:
How remove microG of /e/ os?
Hi all, Thanks to your developement of /e/ os. I just want to remove microG of my device. Is it possible ? Thanks a lot.
community.e.foundation
It doesn't work for me, hope works for you.
If not, it seems reflashing ROM might be the only way to remove the stupid MicroG.
