Hello
i had a bug with the battery gauge .
The gauge drop so fast ( 2% per minute)
A can't start the tab without cable while gauge indication is 70%...
i think i must calibrate de battery with USSD code *#0228#
My solution is correct ?
I charge the battery at 100%,use the code and compare.
I renew operation as long as value before and value after using code are equal.
Any advice ?
Tks

people with wm6 whose battery is more than 11 months old who get a reset at 20% or anytime other than less than 4 % should change their battery , which should solve part one of the problem (because its a common symptom when batteries get old they loose amperes fast and when they dont generate that amount of current the handset resets even at 20% or 45% etc depending on bad condition of battery) ,
another part2 of problem is battery reverse charging which i observed in cross 4.00.5b ,my battery being healthy and new put on chrger seemed to be charging backwards if i keep my handset on while being on charger but turn backlight off,and this is not a good sign ,which indicated either system files needed to keep log of battery are of a handset which is not htc prophet or wm6 does not support battery hardware of prophet properly , although wm6 might support this processor but what is the use of having a ferrari when there is a hole in the fuel tank and it wont run for even a mile.
part3 battery seems to drain faster means again battery logs are not storing properly
part4 battery not seeming to charge fast again prompts to dll files for battery dont seem to support hardware
it is assumed in wm6 rom that it would be so efficient that battery would charge 2 times fast and would also drain 3 times less here
http://forums.vr-zone.com/showthread.php?t=165260
i wonder where is such a rom which would do this and why is it in chinese
It should come from the caribian sea.......
charging two times faster and 3times less battery drain.
This is wodoo..........
Just a miracle.....
3 day standby is easy with PDAViet 4.0.0.6... at least mine
I have battery status with the dynamic 123, 175, 208, so that helps my battery also.

actualy that does not help your battery because when using cpu scaling the batter will keep draining when you don't use your phone because the cpu keeps working to keep the clock down at 123Mhz..
I downgrade my device's rom to WM5. Normally, my device can live for 2 days with 1-2hours of call (using XP-02 battery). After using batti 2.4, I found that my device will shutdown at 3.75V(at that time, battery drain to 0%). Windows will show an alert then shutting off the device. At this time I can not power on my device by the power button. Now i do a cheat that i see in this web site and found that my device can power on(without charge)and last more than 1 and a half of day with 1 hour calling. Totally it can take more than 3 days with over 3 hours talking. The cheat I do is as bellow:
Locate the pin next to the + or - on your battery, use a tape to make it do not contact to the phone when you put the battery to the phone. Then press the power button, you device will power on (althought it showed the battery drain to 0%). Now the battery status do not show any value, but your device will working probably and longer than you thought. So, anybody help to make any change in registry (i think) to ignore the shutdown alert of windown(when the battery drain to 0%) and keep the device continue working? Or change the shutting down voltage to 3.55V (not 3.75V) to increase the battery life for atom exec(Because I see the voltage of my battery decrease to 3.55V before it turn off)? The overdischarge for 3.7 lion battery is 2.75V. So I think it is not affect my battery life by using this cheat.
Hope to receive any support from you.
Thanks for reading
my battery is standard galaxy s 2 1650mAh
and i've gone to /sys/class/power_supply/battery/voltage_now file
and it show value 3687574
correct me if i'm wrong, that value is in micro volt right?
and full charge value should be 4million++ microvolt
but my android battery indicator shows 30% left
it looks like the battery indicator does not report the correct value
Yes, full charge value is 4 million+ Volt, right, there are a lot of apps which shows the current voltage actually, I personally for me use the Clarus Battery as it is simple in text mode. Battery Calibration by Nema also shows battery voltage, but that is when you open the app, not as a widget like Clarus
Regards.
if the full charge is 4++volt
i check my current voltage is 3.6 volt
battery indicator shows 11%
if i calculate correctly
3.6/4 = 0.9 = 90%
why does the battery indicator show 11% and not 90%?
how does the android battery indicator get's calculated?
0% is not 0v.
The battery cells must have a small charge all the time. I think about 2.7v or something is minimum voltage.

i've jz got a shut down when my battery is at 3.51V
battery indicator show 1%
it's far from 2.7v point
i think there is something not right on the way it calculate the battery %
6 months with sk17i...
6 months with pain in (_!_) about battery indicator...
let me describe situation for those who have no such problem:
battery indicator lives with its own life after 30%... mainly in good days it drops from 20% to 1% but in general picture is not so smooth... I have some days when 45% becomes 1% and so on...
Trying to figure out source of the problem I've started to wipe battery status (any calibration software with root or CWM recovery option), but no luck... (yes, I should mentioned that I've also produce full reset of battery status with 100% charge in offline, then removing for 5-10 mins and charge rest of %) and that is definitly - not working... After full discharge without reboot or power off it is not 100% possibility that next discharge goes smooth from 100% to 1% it could breaks again on 15% or 20% or even on 40%.
I was thinking that problem in battery itself and also change it with new one but picture still the same.
According voltage values regular battery with ~1200 for "mini pro" should show from 4.1 to 3.5 values and it does! but battery indicator shows something else...
So question to community: do we have epic persone who can solve that problem?
P.S. as you can see bootloader is unlocked so no worranty availiable... only hope for community.
Batterystats file does not include battery information, it's about the battery usage info and that file is created again every time, that you fully charge battery.
My friend had this strange situation like your's, He had neo.
He visited service center & solved the problem.
I recommed you take it to the service center.
Dialed *#0228#
I pressed quick start below the battery was at 80% when i pressed Quickatart it drained to 2% ..
Oo and check your voltage by dialing *#0228# and tell me what is yours
Are you talking stock rom or custom rom ?
custom rom have the voltage tweaked by the developer.
While stock is default values.
Battery voltage range should be between 3400 mV (0%) and 4200 mV when fully charged. Usually it is 4191 mV at 100% charged state while your fuel gauge chip is properly calibrated. If it's not you could try to perform few magic tricks to stabilize it (reset fuel gauge chip setting in ExTweak of Siyah kernel or charge it to maksimum, power off your phone, remove battery, wait few minutes and put it back than connect to charger and wait 30 minutes while phone is still off)...
