I just got the x3 blueant bluetooth headset. It was very easy to setup, but it's also not my first headset. The sound quality is ok coming in but everyone complains of interference. Has anyone had experience with blueant and their products? I may return it since I have a 15 day policy. I really need to find a headset and am having no luck. Can anyone suggest a good BT headset?
thats strange - cause its worked GREAT for me ..
as I said in one of my other posts the x3 blueant even goes thru walls and I have not had any problems with it and my Tytn; for a while I even used the 3.5mm transmitter dongle that comes with it to listen to my OLD SCHOOL mp3 player in the gym
I have done the A2Dp hack and the sound quality is awesome before and after the hack ...
i am debating between the blueant, jabra 500v, and the plantronics 645. any opinions?
hello...i don't know if it was discussed this problem before, but i just try to resolve headphone problems for my phone...i have the samsung galaxy ace from 2 weeks ago and the problem is : when i connect the headphone (i was trying 3 headphones till now and it was the same problem),the sound is very low,is distorted,it's like in a box,the voices is not hearing...if i keep pressing the play button from the headphone, the sound is better. i read something like "if enter in service mode,on the "audio tab" you can change something", i try,but the "audio tab" from the service mode is the only one which is NOT openning...i don't know what to do next...any idea ?
I have the same problem, the sound with headphones are really low, but i was using Nokia headphones because of microphone. When the button was pressed to take call sound was good, so I just glued it with super glue, now I can listen music at right volume... just cant answer calls!
) nice one .. yes,it's an idea, but i thought that someone knows what is the real problem...maybe is the soft of the phone, maybe is needed some kind of headphones

I've used some el-cheapo Sony headphones from Argos and they're much better quality. Will have to ask my GF to try her Skullcandy headphones and see how they are. But otherwise I'm not one to spend much more than £30 on a pair of headphones, especially when the jacks tend to get screwed up in my pocket.
I've noticed some distortion with my Sony's: sometimes the audio goes quite quiet then loud, repetitively. I'm almost positive it's the custom ROM - Fla.sh v1.

I'm using the Logitech Musicman (or men , whatever) and it performs more than I had expected .
For my Equaliser I'm using Equalizer 3.1.3 (I think)
So do all 3 connection headphones work OK?
Is it just the 4 connection that make the sound go out-of-phase/cancel out?
I do like the galaxy s phones for quality especially with voodoo sound. Surely Samsung could fix this so that the 4 connector headphones are interchangeable??!

Im using Shure SE102 earphones - on low volume you can hear clearly without distortion, on full volume - it not loud enough to get me remove the headphone also no distortion.
Maybe the socket is designed to chuck out a low impedance and phase variance.
I have also used the 5.1 channel button on the music player that comes with Fla.shX2.2 rom and thats works beautifully.
no, the headphones was not specially for samsung (and specially for galaxy ace i didn't find ) 2 are from nokia and one i don't know from where, but i thought that if they have 3.5 jack should work...it seems that i thought wrong ... i will try something from samsung,or have you some recommendation ?
finnaly i solve the problem with Panasonic RP-HS46...not so expensive, but very good sound,bass,etc..
I had exactly the same problem. Tried my old nokia headset, a noname, and a Philips headset. All had the problem of poor quality, and way better when the button was pushed.
The solution:
The I changed to a Philips headset specifically designed for IPHONE and it all of the sudden worked well. Phone now recognizes the headset and the phone is acting on the button.
From my reading I understand that the pins are a bit swapped for iphone, so somehow for my ace it is the same as the iphone pinning.
yes..one of my problems was that i tried some samsung headset...i don't remember exactly the name...after that i was thinking that is a problem with my phone till i tried that Panasonic headset...have not microphone, but i don't needed because i use it just for music

Ohhhh it worked for me. Thank you bro. For headphones try one without any buttons in it. All headphones without buttons work well.
skullcandy headphones work fine but just one prob..
My skullcandy headphones work perfectly fine with great sound quality but the problem is my galaxy ace does not recognise the click functions.I even downloaded an app for this problem but it still doesnt work.
Does anybody hv a solution to this problem cuz even u guys hv this phone and maybe knowing a solution to this problem
I use the head phones from my old phone (INQ cloud touch). They works Great! Even the button to play/pause works.
I seem to have a weird problem with my headphone jack. I have a pair of Philips O'Neil headphones that up until the plug broke worked great with the TF101. I got a new cord and now the TF101 will not recognize the headphones when plugged in??? The new cord works in all other mp3 tabs I have tried it in so the cord is good. I have also tried different brands of cords and still no luck. It will work with ear buds that have a mic i.e. iPhone headphones or the ear buds from my Galaxy tab but not any other regular headphones. Any idea why this is? I tried a hard reboot and am contemplating a factory reset.
TIA
JC
Hmm, did you do a firmware update recently? That might have randomly broken the functionality.

I may have. I know when I went to do a TB so I could wipe it, TB said it could not obtain root. It was rooted before. I'll look into that.

I found a solution, although not the one I want, it will work. There is an app called toggleheadset2 that forces the sound to go to the headphone jack. I get sound through the head phones again. Weird i have to do this but like the post above it could have been a firmware update.
Thanks
After pairing my Skullcandy wireless BT 5.0 earbuds with my new GTR 2, sound on the right bud is slightly broken. Of course tested same music files and earbuds on different hardware, no issues at all. And tried bluetooth pairing/connection several times.
Anyone experienced this? Any ideas? Latest firmware on GTR 2.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Just tried Sony`s WI-1000XM2(single receiver), worked like a charm. Guess it might have to do with dual receiver wireless, though BT 5.0 should handle it.
I've had my Buds Live for some time now and used them with a Pixel 5 and work iPhone. They don't appear in the Pixel 6 bluetooth pairing menu. The Galaxy Wear app sees them, but gives a "can't communicate" error when I select to pair with them. I made sure the buds weren't paired with any other device and tried rebooting my phone and reinstalling the Galaxy Wear app.
I've successfully paired another bluetooth headphone with the Pixel 6, so it should be working.
Any thoughts?
FIXED....I had to unpair them from my Pixel 5 first. Even though the Pixel 5 was turned off they wouldn't pair with the Pixel 6. I don't understand, but they're paired with the Pixel 6 now.
Just ran into this when I finally got my P6Pro... If anyone from the future finds this thread and like me you already factory reset your old phone prior to trying to pair your earbuds and can no longer go back and unpair them from your previous device.
Instead you can just put the ear buds in your ears and long press on both ear buds at the same time for 3 seconds until you hear a single loud beep from both earbuds simultaneously. That seems to put them into pairing mode. At that point your phone should be able to connect to them from the Galaxy Wear app.

I couldn't figure out why my Buds+ wouldn't pair with my Pixel 7 after factory reset and this solved the problem. Thanks for sharing.
