I have the US Model SM-G770U1 (unlocked 8GB GSM/CDMA) , are the rooting methods I see for the SM-G770F the same for my phone?

Doesn't appear to be. There's no option in dev options for OEM unlock.

I have been surfing the web for couple of days to find a way to unlock the bootloader for LG G5 H860, but i couldnt find any thing
could any one help me with that ?
not possible. H850 EU only... as stated on the official site as well as the XDA G5 thread for bootloader unlocking.
To expand on what @autoprime said, at the moment, the only model that can have the bootloader unlocked is the H850.

probably not YET possible. We still have to wait for someone to discover an exploit. Non-unlockable bootloader doesn't necessarily mean no root forever, there are billions of ways out there to do it, but no one has found it yet for our variant. I remember rooting my Xperia Acro S without unlocking it (even though it was possible at that time). I love the phone anyway, even without root.
any update about unlocked boot loader for h860 (dual sim)?
Thanks!

I've graduated to the G5 from the G3, the bootloader for which was locked down tight by LG. The geniuses working on the G3 developed an exploit called Bump! that let users flash ROMs on the G3 despite its locked bootloader. It would be nice if something equivalent could be developed for the G5.

I have the Canadian G5, is there anyway this can translate to us getting root?

Nope.
This exploit only works for a device with an unlocked bootloader.
We cant even access fastboot let alone unlock the bootloader if we could.
Trust me, I also have the Canadian variant and am hoping for some sort of root exploit.

No, it's the first step after you need the unlock bootloader code and Honor don't give it.
Actually nobody can unlock an honor 10...
Who says that ? I got my bootloader unlocked by an Estonian guy which I paid 10$ to do so. He is/was an Hauwei employee and dumped bootloader codes of any phone which was produced to this day (late 2019). Besides of this service, there is an on chip soldering guide for reading and flashing hardware based, most of it can be found under the radar. Personally I would recommend this guy, but I can't find his website atm, maybe googling it will be easier.
Peace and gl

Yes, it will work as long as you are on EMUI 9.1 or lower. On EMUI10, bootloader unlock is no longer possible.

Dead simple unlock, fastboot flashing unlock. No drama or extra steps required.

I have a AT&T Duo and enabled bootloader unlock in developer settings with no issue. Didn't unlock the bootloader because I don't want to wipe but the enabling of allowing it worked.
