This is a large and slippery phone without a case. I bought a generic one on Amazon with good grip and I like the cutout where one can put one's index finger for more balance. It doesn't seem to impact the edge functionality either.

There isn't much when it comes to cases and this device, which sucks if you ask me. I ended up buying an OtterBox symmetry case. At a Verizon store because I couldn't find it on eBay or Amazon
Phone case
I found Amazon to be the best place to purchase my cases
I got a slim hard case on Amazon and it works great - covers corners well; doesn't bother edges:

Over the years my phone choices have caused me to consider alternative case manufacturers, first switching (from Otterbox Defender) to Seidio Dilex, then to Incipio Dualpro. Since Incipio didn't offer a holster, I had to search elsewhere for that, ultimately settling on the Seidio Dilex holster for a Galaxy S5 to go with my Dualpro-clad 2014 Moto X.
With my recent Galaxy S7 purchase I faced a similar dilemma. For various reasons, I decided on the Spigen Tough Armor case, and began my search for a holster. I found that the holster from the Platinum case/holster for the Galaxy S6 is a perfect fit. For those who don't know, Platinum is the Best Buy house brand, which I believe is manufactured by Seidio, and is nearly identical to the Seidio Surface model. I'm pretty sure the actual Seidio Surface holster would fit just as well, and that many similar cases would fit well in either holster.
As a bonus, the Tough Armor case appears to be symmetric (top/bottom and left/right, except for the port cutouts), and the phone fits just as well in the holster upside down. I prefer this way because it means I dint have to flip the phone around in my hand while putting in into, and removing it from the holster.
TL;TR - Spigen Tough Armor Galaxy S7 case + Platinum Galaxy S6 holster = perfect!

Hi
I bought a cheap one from Amazon and it's fine except that it's hard plastic and way too slippery. I prefer a normal case and not a wallet case. I bring it to the gym and would like some level of protection if I drop it. I have a screen protector on it currently (not tempered glass). Any recommendations?
You don't like the wallet type, but this case works with full coverage screen protectors and also will protect both edges in case of a drop. Magnet holds it closed and it has a slight horizontal overlap on the exposed edge, which would take the impact. Plus this case would outlive the phone. Good luck with your search!

Since you have already bought one, you should mention which one was it exactly. This way it will avoid others recommending the same.
I would suggest this one

Spiegen cases are just TOP although I would never use this one to be so bulky.
BTW if you search Google with the key words "case with credit card holder samsung galaxy s7" you will get lots of results
Anyways, so u read the title.
OtterBox case for this phone comes with built in screen protector, don't want.
UAG case has magnets that intercepts s pen.
I might be going with Verizon rugged $49 piece of rubber just so I can have little protection.
I'm so furious atm.
Verizon sent a s7 book cover when I asked for the 5g otterbox.
Then I contact them about the problem then they send out an a OtterBox but it's for the S7 plus not the S7 plus 5G.
they sent out a UAG case for this tablet and I finally found out that the magnets interfere with your s pen is.
This tablet been out for five months now, I am so aggravated I got to pay $49 for a piece of rubber that I don't even know if this thing's going to protect the tablet over cement "Verizon rugged case" I work in the garage and I need something like OtterBox but it comes with the built-in screen protector and if you remove the plastic screen protector out, your tablet is loose inside the case I seen and reviews.
Before I order anybody have any suggestions?

Wonder why Google didn't follow that idea forward? They had magnetic alignment for wireless charging in Nexus 5/7, then they dropped the magnets in Nexus 6.
I have used cases with holsters forever and ordered this clear case and holster by Encased from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HWRN4CV
Ordered and received a Spigen Ultra Hybrid and Encased belt clip with clear case.

My understanding is that is the only case so far that's magsafe compatible https://www.shopmoment.com/products/moment-case-for-pixel-6/6
OtterBox defender arrived today. I thought it had a screen protector like the Unicorn Beetle, so returning it. The problem with the Unicorn Beetle on my previous phone was that the cover latch broke over time. This happened to other people I know as well. Also, reviews show that there are issues with using the fingerprint reader with the Pixel 6. Too bad, as otherwise I like the case, even though I had to use a Dremel tool to grind off the holster since I keep the phone in my pocket and it added extra bulk.
Debated on a Unicorn Beetle Pro case, had a great experience in the past with one. But wasn't too sure on the screen protector as the past one didn't have that included. Ended up getting the Caseology Parallax. Shows up today. Was half the price. Idk....second guessing now. LOL

Just got my case and screen protector in today!
Caseology has made my absolute favorite cases for some time now. Just the right amount of protection without being unnecessarily bulky. Good grip, as well as a really nice design. And cheap as chips over here in the UK for some reason. Around £10.

Spigen- is the best and i am using it only. Quite Slim and lightweight, Good protection and Grip
Sucnakp- Bit bulky feel but lightweight, does offer good protection & grip; comes with a screen protector
Motorola- Slim, lightweight and good color, but quite slippery

Any other recommendations?
One thing that bothers me about a lot of the cases for the Edge + (2022) is that they are actually made for the X30 which has a single button on the left side of the phone, the Edge+ does not have a button but a lot of the cases have a button for the X30.
So if having a button on your case that does nothing bothers you, make sure to study the case closely and make sure the left side doesn't have one.

The Spigen cases do not have the side button. I bought one for my moto edge x30 and was confused as the American version is the only one without a side key.
I got the Spigen Liquid Air Armor case... Protects well and cheap

I tried the Folio case + stylus but it got slightly annoying after a couple days of having to hold the phone in a different way.
I bought the Spigen Air Liquide case for 7$, good protection, lightweight, overall Spigen doesn't disappoint
I like this cover
Have a good hand feeling

How well are these covers disipating the heat generated by wireless charging? My Pixel 3xl has had two batteries swell within two years. I.m told it is due to overheating while charging. I primarily charge wirelessly. Moving to the Edge+ 2022 instead.
Bought the folio/stylus from Motorola. Not much protection.
Use it for house->car->work and back during the week.
When I travel or on the weekends, I use Poetic 2pc (frame w/screen). Better protection, comfortable enough but chunky.
