im running tnt lite 4.4
when i goto setting,
and click differant keyboard,
but wont stay checked
I know this sounds strange, but try tilting the tablet 90 degrees (landscape to portrait or portrait to landscape), then select one of the keyboards . . . . When you want to select another, no need to exit the menu, just tilt it back and select the next one!!!
I hope this helps.
I was very frustrated that I could find no answers online, but one day I accidentally noticed this pattern and sure enough, my Droid Incredible (CM7) behaves the exact same way.
Idk what the permanent fix is, but I've had no problem whatsoever once I found a workaround!
Good Luck!

Hi,
I have noticed something strange on my Titan, just when I wanted to reply on an email. I was typing (black letters on the white background in the mail app) and suddenly I saw some strange shadow of the keyboard in the mail I was typing. When I press, let's say the Enter button, I can see the shadow of the Enter button a few inches above the keyboard itself as well. It's hard to explain, but I think it has something to do with the lcd itself. I was wondering if anyone noticed this as well?

I have noticed it numerous times and you will see it more often it you tend to swap from landscape to portraite mode with white background. I don't think any other phone has it. It's just the LCD itself like you said. Why it does it, won't know yet. But you will see it very very often even in apps at times if you keep white background permanently.
Thanx for your reply! I was searching for it on Google and I found somewhere that a few other users of WP7 (on different brands of phones!) have this issue as well... Strange stuff!

Oh haven't come across that on other WP7 bit. But now that you've posted in WP7 general section, probably we will get more insight!
This has been a visible issue on a number of phones since the Mango update. I've noticed it on every Windows Phone I have owned, though it's not enough of a bother to me to get all up in arms about it. Hopefully just a little bug that will be squashed one day.
Sent from my HTC Titan.
Funny... I noticed this a few hours ago when I was replying to an email as well... Before reading this thread so not like I was even looking for it

Hey,
My bro just gave me an already used Samsung Galaxy S III, but I noticed that when displaying a white background app, or a white pic, I can see the ghost of the keyboard.
After some internet searches, I found that it's called a screen burn.
So, can I fix that problem ? .. if so, I'll be thankful if you show me how ..
Thanks !

You can't. you need to be a new screen.
You could display a completely white page over the whole phone for a while but I don't no how long for or if it would work.

Okey thanks ! ..
About the white page, I read that it could make things worst !
I think that I'll live with that, or sell it as it is and buy another phone, 'cause the screen will cost me a lot.
Hi all
I'm very satisfied with my S6 Edge (925F) but I'm facing a weird problem: when I unlock the phone using my fingerprint(s), it works perfectly but sometimes it's not the home screen which is displayed, but another random app, (i.e Facebook, Settings, News Republic or other...)
I have to press the back button to return to the home screen...
Anyone having the same problem? (not a big deal but...)
Started to happen to me as well a couple of days back. It's strange because it never happened before and I didn't change anything on the phone.
Never happened to me so far. Are you sure you weren't already in that app when you locked your device? The fingerprint unlocks into the last open app. Go back to home before locking.
Another possibility is that you are tapping a notification before unlocking. Say you have a notification from FB and you tap on it. The screen will stay locked, but it will open the FB app. Unlocking with fingerprints will then show FB open. Same can happen for email, texts, etc. You can also pull down the status bar and tap settings, then when you unlock, settings will be open.

Thanks but not at all.
It happens randomly, either I'm in an app or not (and if so, it's not necesseraly the one I was on!)
Quite mysterious...
I was using Nova Launcher (maybe the cause), will give 2-3 days Touchwiz a chance, and will report back...
Hey guys,
same problem for me. It is not dependant of the unlock method (i'm experiencing it with finger print or regular unlock).
I think it is a Nova launcher bug, only occur with nova for me.

I think so...unfortunately...
I think it's the latest nova launcher beta version that causes the issue.
I'm using Nova since I got the phone, a month ago, haven't experienced this.
I have been having this problem too and was about to start a new thread. I am using Nova too, though I did try installing the google now launcher and seemed to have the same problem. I suppose Nova simply being installed may cause the problem.
I will try uninstalling Nova and use TouchWiz for a bit. Not sure how long I will last, I think I prefer the random apps to Touchwiz.
How did the rest of you get on after switching away from Nova?
I have been experiencing this issue as well but ive been using the nokia Z-launcher. I have a feeling it might also be my fingers inadvertently touching the curved portion of the screen when i hold it.
I have the same thing happen to me. I thought I was going insane. The worst part is, I'm on a note 3 and I'm using touchwiz lollipop. I'm 100% sure no applications are running before I lock the phone, and when I use the pattern unlock, whatever application shortcut that was on the screen when I lock the phone, a random app from that screen will run when I unlock the phone. It doesnt happen all the time, but it happens at least a couple times a day.
Reason
Hey guys. I am using Nova Launcher too. And I have the same problem. I don't have the sollution, but I found the reason. ? When you lock your S6, the touchscreen stays for a second active. And if you hit an app in that second it will open when you unlock your S6.
Sorry for my bad English, I hope someone can do something with this information.
Cya ??

It seems that if the Nova's desktop margin is set to "Medium" or "Big", this problem is reduced, but I don't know if it's fully solved. Will see...
Have you found any other solution?

I think that has nothing to do with it. It could be true that it reduces it, but the only reason it would do that is because:
Mostly when you lock your S6 your fingers touch the side of the screen.
When you set margin to "Medium" or "Big" and you lock your phone, your fingers wil most likely touch no app on the side of your desktop, because the margin "pushes" them to the middle of the screen.
I haven't found a solution. Still waiting for an update to fix it.

Yes, that makes sense. Anyway, if looks perfectly good with marging set to medium, and I've had no issues with this problem since I changed the setting (yesterday). So if it reduces the problem so much, I can live with it...

Great news, the update I got today (4.2.2) fixed the bug. It was from Nova. I think this ends the thread. Happy new year guys. Cya!
Yep, it is finally fixed! Cheers!
Still happening in the latest Nova... running in Oppo phone.
Hi,
I just bought the Mate 10 and so far I'm very pleased but there is one little issue that's driving me nuts. When the the screen is off and I push the power button it takes me directly to the screen to enter the patron /pin /password and if I want to have a look at the lock screen I have to tap the "back" bottom. Do you know if it's possible to set it to show me the lock screen without having to tap that button? I've looked on every setting on my phone but I didn't find a way. In every other phone I've used it works this way it's very annoying to have to tap an additional button to have a look at my notifications or to get the shortcut for the camera and I don't care about getting fast to the password screen as I always use the fingerprint scanner when I really want to unlock it.
Is it the standard behavior, something I've messed up on the settings or a bug on my phone?
Not a standard behavior. Try changing the theme, and use the magazine lock screen style.

I already tried different themes, the magazine style is already selected (it's the only one I have besides my carrier option)
Was it this way out of the box ?
Mine is Mate 10 ALP-L29 , build 119. I have no such issue. Nor had that issue on other Huawei devices i used.
Is your phone Telcel branded? I just bought mine too, and it is really annoying. I wonder if this is a bug with the carrier ROM.

Yep mine is Telcel too, so it looks like it points in that direction. Have you had any luck with it?
Nope, I haven't find a solution. I wonder if it has to do with the crappy lockscreen with ads that came by default with the phone. I guess our best option at the moment is to raise awareness to both, Huawei and Telcel.

Yeah, I thought the same, I disabled that withing the first 5 minutes. I already contacted Huawei but haven't replied and I'm not sure about telcel, they don't have the best record when it comes to customer support. Definitely last time I buy a Telcel branded phone
Goddamn Telcel...
Waiting for a way to solve this issue. Never faced it on P10 series. I'm considering rebranding
Same here in LPA-09 from Telcel, no way to change the lockscreen settings to show wallpaper and steps count instead the pin code.... waiting for rebranding
Problem solved for Mate 10 ALP-L09 8.0.0.102 (C69)... i rebranded to ALP-L29 (C636) now i'm debloated and no problems with Themes, Wallpaper/hour in Lockscreen and many more..
I follow this:

Could you help me? I have the same issues as you with the Mate 10 (telcel). How can I rebranded?? Thanks.
