After numerous requests, i have made a flashable zip package to install Lollipop modem and firmware on your Xiaomi Redmi 2.
IMPORTANT!
Make sure you make backups of Firmware, EFS and Persist before flashing! I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DATA LOSS IF YOU GO FORWARD WITHOUT TAKING PROPER BACKUPS WITH SHA1 VERIFICATION
Not Recommended for Lollipop Custom ROMs /MiUi KK
For Chinese Variants, flash the zip marked China

What does this package do?
This package updates your modem and firmware to the latest version without going thru a full MiUi LP flash.
Why should I flash this package?
Lollipop Modem is REQUIRED for VoLTE services. It may / may not help fix Battery drain or Random reboots.

Will it brick my device?
No. Slight chance if you're not careful. Make sure you have enough charge.
Is this modem compatible with *** phone?

I flashed the zip file in twrp, still i am not getting volte. I have my Enhanced 4G mode enabled still no use no volte or hd showing in status bar. I am currently using Project X v1. 3 marshmallow rom . how can i enable volte please help

Make sure your ROM developer has pushed VoLTE blobs to the source. VoLTE on marshmallow works on CM,RR,Mokee..
I'd recommend flashing a compatible Nougat build since they're more up to date and have explicit VoLTE support.

I flashed the Cardinal Nougat rom still it did not showed voLTE in status bar and i could not make any call with it. Even before i flash both stable and lastest developer lollipop roms of Redmi 2 prime but i didn't get the voLTE option there in sim and network settings. Can you help me how to enable voLTE in redmi 2. I have tried almost every possible method still it didn't work for me.
What about RR(N) and project x(M)?

Volte on nugat is on test phase.Volte on marshmallow is more stable.See here.

I used the latest version and yep....I got volte as it is fully cm based.

Can you help me with it? which miui rom should i flash first to get voLTe enabled and how? I tried latest stable and last 4 developer roms of Redmi 2 prime still i didn't work . There was no volte option in sim and setting option. I tried with both fastboot and recovery method.

After rooting my phone I never went back to miui global or developers. I only flashed thunder miui @gkalen.So.....I got volte(lolipop firmware)it after flashing thunder miui.

Actually, I had 2014813 variant running Aicp 12.1 by sawrav. Strangely, in aicp 12.1, my phone read as 2014811. Then i install chinese firmware and my phone lost signal. Any idea?

Which thunder miui version did you flash? What was your previous miui version before thunder miui? In which recovery did you flash(version) ?

Oh man....so many questions.
I flashed thunder miui 6.10.20 and after that flashed xtrvbeta 6.12.8.
Look....just flash the latest version(xtvrBETA) and u will get volte supported firmware.
I told u I was on miui global when I bought the phone and it was KitKat,can't remember the version.
Never gone to global or developers version except miui by gkalen.
The required recovery can be found on thunder miui thread.
Just be sure that ur recovery and ROM is according to phones model.See the first post.U will get everything. Link

I didn't get the volte enable option even after flashing Redmi 2 Prime, Miui Thunder lollipop roms. Any solution?

i am using resurrection remix rom v 5.7.4 (marshmallow) redmi 2 (1 GB variant) model 2014818.

Try the Pixel Experience, I'm not sure it is treble but I think so, I can not tell you certainly because I was the owner of Redmi 5 but for a problem I brought him for assistance.
Nope, not working. I already knew about those ROMs.
Only 8.1 LOS is treble
Just a small request. Can any developer just give us a TREBLE enabled ROM ?
The last one updated is a LOS 15.1 TREBLE ROM.
Which still works with latest GSIs and beats the hell out of all the other "Optimized" ROMs.
Just check the fluidity by yourself.
Can anybody just give as an updated TREBLE ROM or at least an updated vendor img ?
