Hey guys,
Canada has not received the Android 10 update for the A20 (SM-205W). Is it possible to flash the stock ROM from another country? I'm looking for a stock Samsung Android 10 experience as I would be using this to test my apps, so no custom ROMs.
Did you get this figured out?
I am kinda looking for the same thing lol. I have SM-A205W from Canada on Android 10. I am trying to flash stock rom but it has frp lock and oem lock on. So i have tried to find a combination firmware that works to no avail. Did you manage to get yours flashed?
No sorry, I never needed to since it got the Android 10 update!

Hi everyone
So I have Tab 10.1 which I bought in June... Later on I rooted it, a while ago before the touchwiz firmware update came out. Once that came out, I tried to update it numerous times (im not sure whether the tablet was still rooted or not when I tried to update) and the update failed continuously... Anyhow, don't ask me why I did this but I erased my system in the bootloader!!! I didnt realise that it was literally the OS I was clearing.... Eventually I found a firmware file on the internet for it and flashed it... Previously my Tab was running the HMJ37 UEKMB firmware, now it is running the Europe HMJ37 XXKFC firmware which has touchwiz already...
Now what I want to know is, is this firmware genuine, and will I be able to recieve future updates on it such as ICS when they are released? If not is there any place where I can find the UEKMB firmware to flash to my Tab??

It doesn't matter if it's genuine, don't use stock firmwares anyways. Custom ROMS are better. Wait till someone on this forum develops a sick ICS ROM.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
So, what is the coolest rom available at the moment for my Tab?? Just rooted it but duno what rom I could install.... Preferably one with more customized UI on top of TW... I saw a few pictures of home screens set about the windows phone 7 look... Is there a rom for that?

You can get samsung official firmware from them: http://m.samsung.com/us/support/downloads
But I prefer "In Paris" by Task650 and Phantom.
Hello,
Long time reader here. I finally made an account recently because I finally wanted to Root my phone and mess around with Cyanogenmod.
My question is this: I have an unlocked, unbranded Samsung GT-i9300 that I purchased from Newegg back in the summer time and I have still yet to receive any sort of update (still on 4.0.4). Can someone explain to me the whole stock updates scenario? I would have thought buying an unlocked, unbranded phone I would have at least gotten updates faster than the Verizon S3. Now.. I know I can flash Cyanogenmod and be done with it. Which I have which leads me to the last question. What happens if I flash my phone with the 4.1.2 stock rom that was just released in Poland recently? Will it work? Why wouldn't it? Does the baseband really matter as far as compatibility? (PDA? CSC?)
Thank you for your time.
I answered my own questions. Thanks for looking
I was so excited I forgot to elaborate a little.
I was successfully able to root my phone using cf root / odin, install clockworkmod recovery, install cyanogenmod 10 then re-flash back to stock using triangleaway, and a stock rom from samsung firmware using odin.
I had thought I bricked my phone when it was in an endless loop on the splash screen but I was able to get into android recovery mod and do a format/wipe/clean cache. *phew*
I bought a used used phone rooted with slimbean on it. I did manage to update through TWRP and really like that rom so far. I'll present an app in a few days and want to use an mhl hdmi adapter to project the app on a screen. It seems there's a driver issue and slimrom wont ever support the adapter. So I need to install the stock firmware for the presentation and want switch back after and would like to keep twrp. I could also dual boot it and that would be even better, but does the stock rom supports it ?
Since I know how to use twrp, that would be the simplest way to install the stock rom, How can I do that ?
Is it possible to dualboot the stock firmware ? How can I do that ?
Thanks,
Kristian
EDIT: I have a SGH-I747m (canada) and don't know which stock rom I should use, I don't know the original carrier. I looked on sammobile but you need to know your carrier to find it's original rom.
Wrong forum, this is for the i9300 only.

Hello, I have a s9 plus from the att company, which is bought in usa, the official att page has never been updated to me, they say they are on android 9 but I only have the android that came from the factory.
Searching there from other XDA forums I found that through recovery I could update by update.zip files that if they work out of firmware. Science from there I have android 9 beta 4 and I really want to get the beta or upgrade to one that is not beta either android 8 or 9, without ODIN, my phone can't flash and I can't see the option of oem unlock. Odin doesn't work for me.
Anyone know where to get the update.zip of the new versions of android 9? .. I need a lot of help this had not happened to me with my previous phones ...
I'm really wanting to roll back to Android 11. Two months ago I was able to roll back to Android 11 from 12 using Odin, but it seems the latest update or two has completely locked the bootloader from earlier versions..
As someone more than familiar and comfortable with getting root, unlocking bootloader, changing roms and using Odin on all my previous galaxy phones it seems the S21 is a black spot for that kind of talk. Is there any way to downgrade?
hello, for downgrading your phone's operating system version you need to know, what the binary version your phone has (now it is usually 5) and you have to search for a stock rom version with android 11 with the same binary. You can find it on sites like samfw and so one
