I tried to flash the recovery on my A600G device, it failed with error: This package is for a6lte. This device (a6ltexx) is not supported.

I can fix this later, but you can extract the recovery.img from orangefox zip and flash it as recovery image. It will be the same

the .tar file doesn't work flashing using Odin, Odin says md5 failed. with the zip file I'm having the same problem as the guy up top, I'm guessing you are fixing that. If I only flash the .img it says the file is too big for the device.

In my device settings it says SM-A6050, I flashed .tar file using Odin but it failed. then I flashed the .zip file in my twrp recovery that failed and I also unzipped the .zip and flashed only .img file inside but still failed.

It's simple as Astrako already said, extract the recovery.img from the zip and flash it via TWRP

really? Or maybe it's only about custom recovery, not stock recovery?

Flash this with odin, then flash orange fox with it. A6 2018 Android 10. Working.
You don`t need to factory reset or anything.
