Bricked-Endless flashing modem at fastboot (EDL Mode) - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi!
I was trying to install new ROM via OrangeFox (R10.0) but it always give me the error 7. Trying to solve this now my phone only gets to fastboot via EDL and when trying to flash stock ROM it got stuck endless at flash modem.
Things i did (Using OrangeFOX R10.0 and Flash Tools 2019.12.06):
-Install ROM directly, as i always do. Gives me the error 7 saying "if it is the correct device".
-Install latest firmware then ROM. The firmware install says that its already find same version on device and install again, but trying to install ROM after still give error 7.
-Install firmware, wipe all, reboot, rom. Still error 7
-Tried to go back to stock but from recovery ROM gives error 7 and from fastboot gives me the Mismatching device.
-Tried to format first data partition (via OragenFox), but still gives me the same error.
-Tried to fix the "Mismatching device" on fastboot flash doing this www.youtube.com/watch?v=_osMF9EubhI. When trying to flash first gives modem error and after say Write command error.
-Last thing i tried was flashing stock ROM (lastest V11.0.2 and V10.0.2) via fastboot on EDL mode, but it gets endless flash modem (see image = https://i.imgur.com/BuT3rIl.png)
At moment, my phone doesnt boot anymore even at recovery or normal fastboot, only via EDL. I think its something related to modem files, but i dont know how to format or recovery the partition that have modem installed.
If someone can really help, i will be really thankfull!!

Have you tried using another usb port/cable? If you are using USB 3.0 port than try it on USB 2.0 port as 3.0 have sometimes issues. Also try re-downloading your ROM.

Please use emmcdl tool and try to flash stock rom from there. Worked for one of my friend.

Redmi 5 - Bootloop stuck - No recovery

Hello everybody!
The last day my phone got stuck on bootloader screen. It just wouldn't boot the OS.
So I tried to fix that by flashing other rom. I have unlocked it trough MiUnlock.
Flashed in fastboot TWRP(rosy) recovery. It could boot TWRP but after a reboot, would launch MiRecovery.
After that the Android didnt start no more. After a new flash of TWRP I was able to enter recovery. I tried to flash a custom rom. After that the VOLUME UP + POWER wouldnt launch recovery no more (Also VOLUME DOWN+UP+POWER buttons, wont boot the Recovery)
Now i found an EDL mode to flash rom through XiaoMiFlash. Did it, Made the steps from tutorials. That, has changed the device to COM10 in MiFlash which let me try different official roms, and i always get the same error message: cannot receive hello packet, MiFlash is trying to reset status!
Also tried too flash a recovery img.
Tried everything i found on that, nothing worked to get those packets...
My only hope was to fastboot flash recovery TWRP or MiRecovery. And then flash new rom to fix my phone.
Tried many version of Twrp, but no success to actually flash.
I have tried removing recovery via adb and flashing another. Logs shows success but no effect on phone.
Still can't acces recovery mode on my phone.
Bootloop stuck. Shows MI logo and that its Unlocked.
Doesnt work flashing via fastboot - TWRP or MiRecovery images.
My phone is bricked for a week now. Please share a solution if you got one.
SOLVED
Good news. finally flashed chinese version through miflash tool.
had to rename some files from rom.
Flashed through BOOTLOADER.

Vernee Apollo Lite Bootloop (No OS, no recovery )

Hi guys, I really need your help!
I have a Vernee Apollo Lite and it's stuck in bootloop......
Can't enter in recovery mode (Tried flashing TWRP multiple times via fastboot with a Mac)
I'm also stuck with no OS, originally I got TWRP working and wanted to flash a custom rom (MadOS Oreo 8.1 AOSP)
but I messed up and wiped everything (the partitions).
Tried to flash it anyways but gave me Error 7 so I tried other roms but other problems occured and failed each time, I tried flashing another recovery.img file (TWRP) in recovery mode and rebooted but then it didn't load anymore so all I have right now is fastboot working.
Tried flashing a stock rom via fastboot but kept giving me "remote: partition table doesn't exist"
I wonder if I could use the flash-all command with the stock images but some are missing in the the stock rom file but probably it will still give me the same error (partition table doesn't exist)... oh and I also tried flashing custom roms with fastboot but no success.
VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT I ONLY HAVE A MAC By the way I checked each files and compatibility isn't the problem.
Thanks in advanced:good::good::good::good:

[Help] Bootloop on Xiaomir Redmi Note 4X

Hello, I'm kind of new at this (this is my first post) so be gentle
So, the last few days I've been trying to install a new rom on my phone (Redmi Note 4X) and the problems started with the model. I only seem to find Redmi Note 4 roms, and as I've come to find, mine is supposed to be the mido one (correct me if I'm wrong though). I have unlocked the bootloader, I have installed and enabled the fastboot on my phone, so the next step was to install the latest TWRP.
There came more problems; I tried doing this through the app and it just wouln't flash it. So I found a guide on how to root my phone and install a new recovery through adb and I followed it. It didn't work. I couldn't find the right twrp version for my phone. When I finally did realise my phone needed mido, I found the latest from the TWRP website. It wouldn't load through adb again. I found a thread about a fixed mido version, which finally worked for me. But my brother who was helping me, and isn't as much of a noob as I am (he has flashed rom and recoveries many times on his Nexus 5X), decided that I necessarily need the latest twrp if I'm going to flash a new rom, so he flashed the new twrp through the old one, and soft bricked my phone (I think). So I'm searching for a guide to unbrick it. (Which I can't seem to find to work at least).
To conclude;
I have unlocked my bootloader
I have access to the fastboot
I tried to flash a recovery
I failed many times, but I managed it
I flashed the latest twrp and bricked my phone
I don't have access to the recovery
My phone is still on a bootloop
I am not sure about which phone model I have
Help!
Thanks in advance.
1. Just check your phone model on its box. If its Snapdragon version (Mido), then just install it via fastboot. (code: fastboot flash recovery twrp-midoxx.img). If you are success, then try to reboot to recovery (fastboot boot twrpmido-xx.img). After booted, then you just manage to rom.zip you want to install. If you don't have it, then download it before from your PC and push it to your phone. Or just enable Mtp checklis from TWRP n copy that file to your internal phone/sdcard. Wipe all/factory reset except internal storage. Then you dan install rom.zip normally. N reboot. (Note: if you are on MIUI and wanted to always stay on it, just flash the file called lazyflasher.zip. n' wipe cache n art cache only then reboot). Flashing custom recovery on stock MIUI Will manage the device Going to bootloop)
2. If you have mediatek version (nikel), searching the fastboot Rom from miui website and flash it normally via fastboot. (SP Flash tool)
Warning: flash the wrong rom file into wrong phone Will make your device brick. So becarefull n knowing what model/code name you have.

Hello and thanks for the reply. I have the snapdragon version, but all I'm asking is how am I supposed to flash the lazyflasher without accessing the recovery? Through adb?

Firstly, enter fastboot mode on your device. Connecting to pc and flashing the twrp for mido. "fastboot flash recovery twrp-mido.img". Then boot to it using " fastboot boot twrp-mido.img". Then you will enter the recovery (twrp) in a second. Copy the lazyflasher into your phone (enable mtp first in Mount option in twrp) that you downloaded from pc. Just flash the lazyflasher.zip and reboot.
And why you don't want to flash lazyflasher when it very easy to flash it using recovery twrp? adb? You mean android debugging? Actually, you cant flash a .zip file into your system partition except through fastboot mode. However, fastboot mode (in cmd) only recognize a .img file. I just try to tell you the easier method to make your device boot up.

As I said above, I can only access the fastboot, and I get errors in the adb when I try to flash the twrp image.

Try fastboot boot twrp.img

tried to flash firmware, cant do anything now

Hi all,
The story is that I had Linage flashed, but it said it was time to update the firmware, so I tried to do that.
I booted in twrp and flashed the most recent firmware. I had plenty of power on the battery. But after it finished it booted into a classic miui interface. From here it only got worse. It asked for my password which I entered several times, but it was incorrect.
What I tried was to clear the storage. But I get the same error when it boots - it boots into miui, then shortly after a google load screen and then it reboots.
I tried downloading the mi flash tool. But when I connect the phone and locate the file, the screen has just one line in the corner saying something like "press any key to reboot".
With the adb command it doesn't seem like there is actually made a connection.
I do not really care which OS you suggest I install, as long as it at least can get it up and running again.
------------------
I just got it into fastboot and it goes fine with fastboot devices where I can see that it is connected, but when I enter fastboot flash recovery twrp.img then the phone reboots with an error code in the cmd window saying:
"FAILED (Write to device failed (Unknown error))
fastboot: error: Command failed"
Any suggestions to what I can do? Can it be the twrp image that is causing the issue?

This will work with any Android 10 custom ROM
If you want to stay unencrypted, you have to use dfe (disable force encryption). I have never used it, but if you want it try to get one without magisk.
1. 11.0.6 is the latest firmware. You can download it from here:https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/beryllium/
2. You have to format your internal storage.
3. Steps: go to recovery (press back when it asks for password)->wipe->format data (it will ask you to type "yes")-> wipe system, data, internal storage, cache, davlik cache
Copy firmware, rom, gapps, dfe into your internal storage, flash firmware (most ROMs include vendor but flash full firmware just to be sure), ROM, gapps, dfe and reboot.

Twrp!
You flash firmware as a normal zip.
I understand that twrp works for you.
If it doesn't, flash twrp through fastboot and then proceed as i mention above
Thanks for your replies.
The problem I have is that fastboot does not really seem to work.
When I try to do a fastboot command I get the error that goes:
"Sending 'recovery' (31068 KB) FAILED (Write todevice failed (Unknown error))
fastboot:error: Command failed"
Also, I just tried the Mi unlock tool and it seems that it cannot create a connection with the usb cable - so could that be the reason that I cannot flash it?

Download twrp for poco f1 from the official twrp site.
When everything is ready and you have pressed flash, THEN boot into fastboot and connect the cable
Edit: you also might have relocked your bootloader. If what I mention above doesn't work, unlock your bootloader again with the unlock file Xiaomi originally sent you.

The phone doesn't boot into a system, and currently as I load fastboot whenever the connection to the computer is made it goes to a screen saying 'press any key to turn off'.
I did notice, though, that after I from recovery wipe all data, then in the first boot it encrypts the phone. But it never manages to get the OS up and running.

Idk what's the problem with my poco.
------------------------------------------------------------
New update:
Finally, I completed flash the rom, and Idk what's the problem, lol
I can boot into both fastboot and recovery. The recovery is Mi-recovery 3.0. Though, in recovery it doesn't seem that I can get any connection with it.
-----------
update
Currently, when I do anything beyond fastboot devices I get the screen reading "press any key to shutdown"

You most likely had your bootloader re-locked. You have to unlock it again
sorry for the late reply.
I downloaded MiFlashPro, and apparently I could flash miui 11. So far, so good. But as I tried to flash or even boot into twrp I got the same command as I used to.
Can the issue be because I maybe don't have the latest drivers installed?

Do you have all the drivers installed on your pc ?
ADB and Fasboot drivers. And try using usb 2.0 ports. Mi tools have issues with usb 3.0 ports. And You should be on an Intel processor. You can also try twrp 3.3.1 beta by @Reignz.

Fastboot rebooting /corrupted

I am on Vendor_fw 12.0.2.0 and on Awaken android 11. I did a full wipe - cache, data and flashed crdroid which in turn changed my recovery from TWRP to its custom recovery. Now i am unable to flash anything using fastboot. Whenever i enter fastboot flash command, even before flashing starts, the phone reboots. I have tried changing recovery using adb sideload and it doesn't work. I even tried flashing other customs roms and i keep getting Signature verification failed and wrong footer error command. I can now only flash roms with pixel base. I can't even flash magisk. I tried using Miflash and even then no luck. Any solution to fully wipe everything and i can start from scratch?
