Hey,
i just flashed official EUI indian 19s on my Le max 2 due to battery issue with all oreo custom roms.
i enabled Camera2api using build prop editor.
But now when i am trying to install any developer's google cam mod i am facing multiple problems-
1. Many mods doesn't support android 6.0.1 because of that every time when i am trying to install a modded apk i get this error - THERE WAS A PROBLEM WHILE PARSING THE PACKAGE. ( Screenshot attached)
2. After searching for some time i am able to find some modded apk which does install but they r also not working properly - some are giving bizarre pinkish images and some r dont even have basic HDR+ function in them. ( Screenshot attached)
Could you guys please suggest me which google camera mod supports indian 19s and work properly and have basic function like HDR+ and portrait mode working .
Thanks in advance.

Heyyo, you'll need a version of Google Camera Mod for Marshmallow and you will also need to force Camera API v2 as EUI ROM only uses camera API v1.
This guide tells you how to do that and it is the same on X2 with EUI ROM. I the raw mode stuff probably won't work as that is MediaTek specific parts for this guide.
https://appuals.com/enable-camera2-api-shoot-raw-android/
On here you will need to search for an Android 6.0 Marshmallow version of Google Camera Mod.
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/
Third option is to switch to ChrisBalGreece versions of Indian EUI ROM and I think he even has one based on Indian 21s as I believe all his EUI ROM mods come with Camera API v2 and Google Camera Mod included.
Good luck!

Thanks For Your Reply.
I already enabled Camera2Api using that same method and i cheeked it using Manual Camera Compatibility app from plus store and Camera2Api is working super fine after it.
The real issue is i am unable to find a modded version of Gcam which have basic function working properly android marshmallow 6.0.1 - some are giving bizarre pinkish images and some r dont even have basic HDR+ function in them.
Because approximately every modded app work only with oreo or nogut.
Is anyone out there who is using a modded Gcam which have basic function working properly Like HDR+ and Portrait Mode on eui 19s Indian,
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REPLY.
Thanks In Advance

Most mods are based on Google Camera 5. Thus, they won't install on Marshmallow, because original Google Camera 5 requires Android 7.1.
Afaik latest Google Camera suitable for Android 6 is version 3.2 and it uses only camera api v1.
There may be som mods with decreased min API to allow install newer Google Camera versions on older Android, but I doubt it's going to work.
Btw. portatit mode is not possible on Android 6.0. It requires Android 8.
After updating to MIUI 10 global beta rom, it was fun until I opened Google camera. It's shows just a black screen. Only panorama and photo sphere are working. I tried all the apk and Camera2 api zip files. Can't find any solutions. Please help!

It simply doesn't work
Wait for the devs to compile a custom version of GCAM for MIUI

MIUI can get to nerves sometimes but some would actually agree to the fact that it truly is an eye-candy. I suggest you to wait for a while as there might be some devs out there who are in the process of compiling a custom version of GCAM for MIUI. As of now, it does not work.
Hi All,
I'm rooted with Magisk on 10.0.3 McLAren edition, tired many Gcam apk's with their xml settings. But none of them worked for the wide or tele photo lens.
Am i missing something? Is there a magisk module for camera2API required ?
Please guide if anyone knows the exact steps to get the other 2 auxillary lens working on Gcam.
What I read now a lot of times , DO not flash the magisk module!!!! It will brick your phone.
You need Magisk and App Systemizer Module. Then just "systemize" the Gcam into /system/priv-app. There is a topic in Themes and Apps section about GCam with that hint.
I didn't get wide lense to work
Hi! i just installed 9.12.5 eu rom with android 10 update on my mi 8 lite and i have been having problems with stock camera and *gcam. They don't work anymore even like messenger's camera or whatsapp's.
After i flashed 9.12.5 and re-installed magisk like usual ( it has the HAL3 and camera2api enabler modules ) the cameras stopped working so i re-flashed 9it without installing magisk and the stock camera and app's camera work but obviously not gcam, in the last version with android pie I didn't have this problem . Does this come from the fact that in this new rom the mi 8 lite has been updated to android 10? . Do you have any suggestions so that i can use stock camera/app's camera and use magisk too? Thank you very much.
9.12.6 has been released this morning, it's possible that they have fixed it:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261654252
Even now , If i try to enable the camera2api enabler module on magisk , the stock camera won't function , any advise?
I edited the build.prop file manually (there's an app for editing it in Play Store), my stock camera works, but I couldn't find a working gcam app. So, uninstall all magisk modules and do manual editing. I'm on xiaomi.eu latest version.
Good day! Everything listed above does the job for Android 9 / MIUI 11, but how about Android Q / MIUI 11? Recent update with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 left me sad and broken because now I can't enable Camera2 Api same way I did for Android Pie.
Yes, you can do it the manual way, as I said above. Cam 2 probe will give you Level 3 in green color. I have yet to find a working gcam port for this phone...

Yeah, I got the Level 3 and yes, there's no gcam support, each one prefer to shutdown immediately... Seems like we need to wait for solution.

I did it the same way, (used the build.prop editor from Play Store) but in vain. I couldn't get gcam working. There may be other settings which I couldn't find online, I'm just waiting to see what will come
i'm with you guys... i can't find a functionaly gcam in android Q, miui 11, on mi xiaomi mi 8 lite
I hoppe any devs make a port soon
The file uploaded will give you camera2 support & fix the front camera on miui Q. It works just like the old ones did. The problem is there's something going on with the way the new system is seeing the back camera using camera2. You can test this by installing Open Camera and choosing camera2 in the settings (it'll crash) and apps like Footej won't even open. I believe this is also why all the Gcams are crashing as well. Its getting a lot of IMGLIB mm-camera errors in the log complaining about cam stream type depth not being set & other module depth type errors before the crashes.
Anyone know what this is referring to?

Yeah, they all crash on main rear camera (imx363) activation. Its some camera2/lib problem where 3rd party camera apps using camera2 (including Gcam) aren't seeing that its there for some reason. Here's a crash log if anyone can understand log speak.
Would there be a fix to make the back camera work in the future?

Most likely yes, but not in the next future for sure.Because MI 8 LITE has a bad community support and it will take a while since someone smart enought will find a fix

Anything yet??
I have same problem :/

I can't find it by google search.
How did you enable Camera 2 Api?
Can we somehow install it ? Or is it in development ? I really want to install PE, but I don't want to lose many of my camera features. what's the status
i've tried it. it's alright but the features are broken/missing. Someone has t he module for RN10 anx but they're still testing it
crdroid fixed the camera bug and has inbuilt twrp recovery.
Any news of a working stand-alone version ? (the CrDroid port doesn't have Macro working anymore on my side)
(or anybody could recommend a Gcam for the Redmi Note 10 ?)
Cheers !

2x seems to be zoomed and not macro for me too.
I am using this Gcam version. Mostly because it is the latest, and because everything I tested worked fine enough. Haven't tested video and some photo options yet though.
