Hi all,
I am new to this and sorry if I am repeating a thread. I have searched and haven´t really found my answer.
So I bought a Chinese phone with MTK6735 and Android 5.1. The phone does not come rooted.
The issue is that it does not come with Google Play or the GAPPS. I downloaded a copy of Google Play and installed it directly from the web browser of my phone. Now, when I click on the Play store, it doesn't really open, it's as if fails to load the app. (crashing immediately).
Can someone please advise?
Thanks

You can find the link by searching on Google.
Download the gapps .

Do I need to root the phone for it?
If you have recovery installed then i think not.

The Play Store crashes because it must be installed as a system app, and when you install it from an .apk it installs as a user app. It must be converted to a system app. But this requires root.
Sorry to bother again. I have tried with many methods and I still can´t.
I have tried downloading a google installer by Eric Xiang. This installed the Google frameworks and play services, but when I open Play store, it just tells me "Unfortunate, Google Play Services has stopped working". So, there's no way to open it.
Alternatively, I have tried to root it, and then install a recovery (as it was not installed by default). But here, I am having problems in rooting the device. I have tried with latest version of Kingroot and still failed. Not too sure, it may be because the device is with Android 5.1? or because the device has one of the latest Mediatek chips MT6735?

Again, you have to be rooted. Mediatek can be difficult. Sorry, but I am no help to you with this.

Just fixed my installation...
1. I made sure my clock was set correctly (maybe not relevant, but still, I've done it).
2. Installed the GPS from ApkMirror.
3. I cleared Framework, GPS and Play Store cache/data.

I had the same error after following the instructions. On another forum there was a suggestion to download 1Mobile Market APK by searching it on google. THis worked for me. After downloading google play services the Google play store was able to download apps. I did need to update Google Play services through the play store but after that my Play store app is working like any other android device. Be careful though there are some virus type apps on the 1Mobile Market app.
Recap:
Error when downloading apps through play store.
Download APK for 1Mobile Market
Download Google Play Services from 1Moblie Market
Update Google Play Services through Play store app
Enjoy downloading any app you want on your device

For everyone having the server error on google play store, here is what you have to do:
1) Force Stop the following apps:
a)Play Store
b)Play Services
c)Downloads
d)Service Framework
2) Clear the data and cache of the following apps:
a)Play Store
b)Play Services
c)Downloads
d)Service Framework
3) DO NOT OPEN THE PLAY STORE. REBOOT FIRST.
If you do the following steps and follow it to the letter, you can start using google play store without any problems. Also, make sure to have the time and date retrieved from the net option selected.
Hope this helps.

Quick tip for better performance, deactivate sync for all the Google account services you don't use or need. I drastically improved performance on my Remix OS installation by deactiving photo sync, my photo collection is huge! When I stoped it, the USB stick stopped constantly flashing.

for those who are not sure, RemixOS ran fine on my USB2.0 stick, no problems whatsoever.
Antutu score of 350000
For me it is not working for now, but will try it again later. I can install it and everything but then when I choose to install any app the error occurs.
The OS alone is working even on OS X

I followed the instructions and it worked great however, after I reboot and went back in, Play Store would not login/load. It keep telling me that there's an error retrieving information from server. It is connected to WiFi fine. I've tried all the troubleshooting steps: Clear Cache (and Data) for Google Play Store, Play Services, Play Service Framework and I've even tried to Uninstall Updates for Google Play Store but still has the same problem after several reboots.

Hello all,
I hate to ask for help but I need to ask in this situation.
Could someone with Play Store working see if Star Wars Commander is available from the Play Store?
Some apps are incompatible with certain devices & I need to know if Star Wars Commander works with Remix OS 2.0
Reasoning: Im going to buy an all in one PC with touchscreen to run Remix. However, I don't have anything to try it on before I buy the PC, & want to ensure Star Wars Commander works before I spend my $.
Thank you in advance someone!

I got same issue and follow process and work but I think I have to make a small difference.

Then I start Google Play and got the problem. I reboot again and it's work for me.
I have honor 7 play dua-al00. I want to install google play. After doing all the procedure google play fails
I have the same problems. Up till now I still cannot find a resolution. Can anyone here please advise? I downloaded and installed the latest suitable Google Service and Google Play Store. I ran the Google Play APP and it just crashed and closed. Urgent. Thank you.
Did u find a solution i have same peoblem
i have the same problem but i think its worth adding that i'm on android 8.1
and the issue isnt that google play doesnt install its thats once installed it wont download (and therefore not install) other apps.
i think the issue is that the system doesnt come up with the authorisation box to let playstore install apps (so doesnt recognise it as a store?).
if you install amazon store and try installing something from there, it asks if you want to let amazon store install apps, you click yes and it works. for some reason it doesnt do that with playstore. you either get stuck on app downloading but doesnt download or playstore shuts down.
play services, are updated manually from apkmirror otherwise you constantly get that gmail wont run without updating services first for example. update it manually and it works for a while.
sorry, probably also worth adding i'm on (and assume we all are who have this issue) on the chinese rom (messed up at purchase!) and an alternate fix would be if we could install a non chinese rom or a custom but doesnt look like these are available?
we still need a solution to this....

Hi,
I recently bought a tablet from china but i wasn't told that the google play store wasn't install. I tried to download them from their apps as well through some site but none of them works. The google play store just crash. So i've decided to root it but i couldn't find any roms/firmware which i can use to root the tablet. The tablet current version is 7.
Do i really need to root my tablet or there is a way i can get my google play store running?
I notice that there is some thread for tb-7304i or something, will i be able to use them? If not, where can i get details to root tb-7304n?
can anyone help me with this?

An Android device must NOT be rooted to install Google Play Store on it. Use Google Installer v3 to install Google Play Store. The Google Installer v3 comes as an APK which you can directly download and install on your device. Fortunately, this app doesn’t void warranty as it isn’t performing root or modifying the system files. Once the Google apps have been installed, you can uninstall this app.

So when the Google Services Framework keeps stopping then you know there is something wrong with one of the Google Apps you have installed on your phone. Either Google Services Framework, Google Play Services or Google PlayStore. Picking out the particular app responsible might be tasking so it might be best to just clear the data and cache of ALL three apps and also remove or log out of your Google Account and log back in and finally re-boot device.

And download the Google Installer 3.0 & Old Version 2.0 APK, Also not Working :crying:

But Thank you Mr: @jwoegerbauer for the Method. Waiting for another solution.

Then try to install it manually.
How-to:
Download from APKPURE these 4 APKs matching your HUAWEIS's Android version:
Google Account Manager APK
Google Services Framework APK
Google Play Services APK
Google Play Store APK
Install the downloaded APKs in exact this order
Google Account Manager APK → Google Services Framework APK → Google Play Services APK → Google Play Store APK
to get the Google Play Store working correctly. Installing them out of order will result in the Google Play Store not working, and I can confirm this.
Re-boot

The API which lz would intercept is no longer present on our devices. Currently there is absolutely no way to get Google services working. You can only get Vance YouTube which spoofs a Google API and allows you to log in to YouTube only.
Hi. Has anyone somehow managed to install google play services on the matepad 10.4? I can't believe there is no way to do it. Does anyone know if the google apps can be installed even though the google play store? I have seen out there that there are people who install virtual environments but I do not know if that will slow down.

Tried the virtual environment - it's not so good. I could not rotate the screen to watch Youtube in Landscape/Full screen.
I have tried numerous method, in the end, it is always the Chinese backup software not recognizing the Matepad that fails.
I've tried this method as well: pixelstech.net/article/1580640179-Install-Google-services-on-Huawei-MatePad still the same outcome. I have already downgraded my firmware in order to use Googlefier, but it is always this application that cannot work.

Googlefier - Install GMS on Huawei/Honor
Wecome to Googlefier, After a successful tool for LG G2 and LG G3 owners (AutoRec), but after a long pause, here is something new and I hope useful Googlefier is a simple tool, designed to help you install GMS on your Huawei/Honor device...
forum.xda-developers.com
How far is it, I have no idea. I have tried numerous methods, they always fail on this LZPlay. As long as this app prompted an error, then most likely you'll never succeed.
Hi guys hopefully there is a better solution I've found last night tinkering trying so many different methods. My matepad 10.4 is brand new factory sealed and just to make sure I hard reset it when I opened the box.
So was on the first firmware ending in .118
Tried using benders method but can't make Lzplay app to activate or even load past the error screen in chineese saying device not supported.
Only working methods I've found is to download an environment like vmos pro, dual space and gspace. I'm currently using gspace downloaded from the app gallery still on .118 firmware and no updates done on any apps.
Someone mentioned to download both gspace and gspace32. They work but the play store icon disappears. So I've left a few apps I don't want like WhatsApp on the tablet etc so when I click that, I press back on top left arrow inside playstore, then can browse the store. The play store icon disappears, but can still browse if you click any app inside gspace but never install that app. Obviously this is like second space and I'm not using my main Gmail account through the gspace app.
So hopefully a more robust way of using play store will become available instead of a virtual environment.
Is there any update?
Nope.... this tablet appears to be an impossible device to get Google on to.
This is the first time I've gotten an Android device that I could never figure out how to get the Play Store working on...
Is it possible to re-flash this device with another version of android?
Unfortunately Android without the Play Store is quite difficult.
I think there's currently no way to install natively GMS because since Googlefier doesn't support anything over 10.1.0.150 and that the Matepad 10.4 doesn't have any ROM that is under that version so I hope that maybe someone could find a way to install GMS with > EMUI 10.1.0.150
