Below are the commands needed to debloat without root on the LG G6. These commands will need to be run in ADB shell. The apps themselves are not removed from the system partition but are “uninstalled” from user 0, so they show up as disabled. This is not permanent and can be reversed by factory resetting your device. This is my setup, so I have all LG apps except for the camera and have replaced them with Google apps when I needed the functionality. The dialer is also removed, but I will attach a working version of Google Dialer. If you decide to remove everything on this list you will need to install a third party home screen and keyboard before you start. I am specifically not creating a step by step guide so that users will need to research how to use ADB and potentially consider what apps they do want to remove. I will add to this list as I continue to figure out what is useless.
*DO NOT REMOVE LG SUI WIDGET* (I know that the name seems innocent enough but it will cause a bootloop needing a factory reset.)

Thanks man. This type of debloating has been covered many times, but not as explicitly as this. This will be invaluable to those with locked bootloader and adb novices... like me.

Unfortunately as far as I know you need to do a factory reset to restore apps uninstalled this way.
LG G6 AROMA Debloater
Very easy to use in my Sig
Sent from my lucye using XDA Labs
And useless for those of us with locked bootloaders.
Here is a list of the installed gapps.
You are safe to get rid of some (youtube, gmail, docs, sheets, slides)
and there are some you will need for most apps (gms, gsf, etc.)
Better do some research before uninstalling.
Here is the list:
package:com.google.android.youtube
package:com.google.android.ext.services
package:com.google.android.apps.docs.editors.docs
package:com.google.android.onetimeinitializer
package:com.google.android.ext.shared

Fixed, thanks.
What is the space reduction doing it this way? Seems like this is basically just like freezing the app, which can be done without adb commands. That would be just disabling the apps which isn't really debloating...just freeing up memory. Is that right...or am i wrong?

No space reduction. This is for disabling apps that the system normally does not let you without root.
I did most of the uninstalling but the phone app is missing now
is it because of this?

I have been an idiot and didn't read all the top post.
How can I get the default dialer back without factory resetting?

I don't believe there is a way to get that back without a factory reset. I will look around and see if I can find anything. In the mean time you can install the Google Dialer (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxOsuCVqSlnfZnhVTkdhYS1XUlk) and install Google contacts from the play store.
Help I stummbled on this site!
Since I mentioned stumbling to this site. I am not tech savvy at all! But I have been going through a lot personally for a while now! And I finally started to do my due diligence and just kept messing with my phone all day and all night! I was in my activity history and i noticed .com.lge.spring cleaning and many other codes specifically almost all that are mentioned in the front page of this site. I know you're here to help so I'm not doing this it's been done to me my phone and all my apps work well enough for me a stay at home mommy of 5 who loves social media, and Couponing that and keeping in contact with my family at all times. Only reasons I'm on my phone.... So my question is why would someone do those thing's what are they gaining from it? I recently started getting back to normal cause for a good while I wouldn't go on line at all nor did I want to have my credit card information on my phone. But since I hadn't had anything go wrong I decided it was only paranoia, and I was being silly. But silly doesn't stumble on a site like this by going through her browser and phone significantly. I don't know what all those things mean but they are coming from a different device... I know this because i have an LG power and some of these codes are associated with a Lg charge please any information (in plain english. Dumb it down way down for me!) Idk wht they want why they have targeted me! But I'm determined to find out and have it be over! Thank you in advance. Also what can i do to put an end to this and find the people who are harrassing me now only online and through my phone! Had to move so I'm not getting any of the other harassment! Amen for at least that... also I'm getting app suggestions to turn my phone into a recording device could they be doing that from some other location!? And other file sharing apps and hiden calls, text, and e-mails is that significant? Are they doing that already? Or could someone be, that is?

Factory reset.
Phone services
Can we uninstall phone services also, want to replace with Google ones if possible?
Just list all your bloatware that you'd see i don't use much for my day to day activity that eats/runs in background.
Device: Samsung S9
Carrier: T-Mobile
Guides Used:
"How to Uninstall Carrier/OEM Bloatware Without Root;"
"S8 Debloat Bloatware Thread;" and
"Android-bloatware by Jaredsburrows"
[size=+1]Procedure[/size]
The procedure should be similar for all carriers.
Factory Reset (Optional)
Setup phone & let it run its 6 updates from the playstore
Install your preferred 3rd party app. I used SwiftKey, FX File Explorer, & Textra.
Settings>Apps>Storage>Clear Data for ALL apps.
Download "Package List" by Ben_ to identify apps listed. (Optional)
Compiled the list from S8 Debloat Bloatware Thread
Edited the list for the S9
Run ADB
Enter adb devices-->adb shell-->paste the list-->Hit Enter
***If the app isn't listed, please refer to "S8 Debloat Bloatware Thread" & "Package List" by Ben_to find it.
[size=+1]Are you having issues?[/size]Obviously, I can't test all possibilities but I can offer the solution that has proved to work without error messages on my device.
Factory Reset>Connect to Wi-Fi>Agree to Terms>Don't Sign-in to your samsung account>Unselected Samsung Apps to avoid updating them>Let the phone run it's 6 updates>Open Playstore>Playstore Settings>Select "do not auto-update apps">Phone Settings>Apps>Clear Data for all apps>Run ADB>Paste List Into ADB>Turn Off Phone>Wipe Cache>Reboot into system.
[size=+1]Risks[/size]
You will still get updates with no problems, but like all things, I can't predict the future or how each individual device will behave. The March and April updates work with the uninstalled apps. Theoretically, all T-Mobile updates should work.
March Update: Safe
April Update: Safe
Can it be undone?
Yes. Perform a factory reset.
Hold down the Bixby button, volume up, and power then release when you see the Samsung logo.
Blue screen-->Factory Reset-->Reboot
[size=+2]Master List[/size]
Install your preferred replacement apps for keyboard, text message, and file explore before continuing to run commands.
Samsung Pay & Bixby completely Remove
The removal of wallpaper packages will prevent setting a custom wallpaper. Use a file explorer or a wallpaper app to change it.
****You might get a message informing you "android transfer for mac or the system UI to reboot.
"Wallpapers" display "App not found" because Samsung Theme store was removed. Download your preferred wallpaper app from the playstore. "Galaxy Essentials" will still appear when you tap on the 3 dots on the upper right -hand corner in app drawer. When you select it, it will close the popup menu. Nothing else.

Update: Camera closes randomly. I'm still testing each individual app. I'm closer than I was yesterday.
I haven't notice any battery life improvement. I was able to get Tmobile's update after I've uninstalled them.

Updated 3/18/2018
Device: Samsung S9.
Carrier: T-Mobile
The guides I've used were:
"How to Uninstall Carrier/OEM Bloatware Without Root" and
"S8 Debloat Bloatware Thread."
The procedure should be similar for all carriers. If the app isn't listed, please refer to "S8 Debloat Bloatware Thread" to find it.
The progress is as follows:
Factory Reset
Setup phone & let it run it's 6 updates from the playstore
Installed SwiftKey, FX File Explorer, & Textra (You can choose any 3rd party app of your choice)
APPS>My Files>Storage>Clear Data
APPS>Messages>Storage>Clear Data
Downloaded "App Inspector" to find Messages, My Files, and Samsung Keyboard file names to uninstall
Compiled the list from S8 Debloat Bloatware Thread
Edited the list for S9
Run ADB
Enter adb devices-->adb shell-->paste each command individually-->Hit Enter
Continue down the list to complete all commands
The S9 list was created after 3 attempts of uninstalling OEM apps. The 1st 2 attempts included "StickerCenter, StickerPlugin, StickerProvider, Default live stickers, & Default stamps" but the camera was crashing every 5 seconds. I'm still running tests to optimize bloat removal. You can add more bloat to remove but I haven't test all possibilities.
Are there risks involved?
No. You will still get updates with no problems.
Can it be undone?
Yes. Perform a factory reset.
Hold down the Bixby button, volume up, and power then release when you see the Samsung logo. Blue screen-->Factory Reset-->Reboot
Replace stock apps with your prefer apps.

You're welcome.
I'll try to find them. If I do find them, they might be linked to the camera itself and could cause it to crash.
"My Emoji Maker" could be the AR app.
New Discovery: After restarting the phone, you won't be able to uninstall additional apps and the cause is unknown. This doesn't affect the phone functionally, but it does mean you'll need to uninstalled/remove everything before restarting the phone. I'll continue to experiment to see what works.
Benefits (subjective) so far: The phone feels faster at startup/shutdown. There's a small battery life improvement because Samsung Themes isn't installed.

I always notice the startup faster as less is loading on launch. as for battery life improvement it will be small but there because less tasks running in the background.
Awesome tread @kartrikpal ...
Debloating is great, which I normally do with Titanium Back Up, but using BK Disabler for Samsung, I'm grateful to have a Titanium Back Up alternative for our unfortunately unrootable S9+ (for now... fingers crossed)...
Aside to the regular debloat stuff, I'm also more on the security/privacy end so there are a lot more things that I disable...
Attached are screenshots of my list of viruses that are disabled lol...
Note: It's pretty extensive so for those of you who are also into security/privacy and/or using my screenshots as a guideline, just use good judgement... obviously if you use facial ID stuff, don't disable those etc...
There are a few that are disabled, which were a part of my prevoius xml, so as I clean it up I'll update with the changes...
---
Absolute MUST DISABLE LIST:
+ Software Update (Green icon)
+ Software Update (Blue icon)
---
Stuff I'm still not sure about. (If anyone can confirm please chime in.)
? Adapt Sound - I've seen this being disabled from a few sources so I've just always kept it disabled...thoughts?
? Favorite Contacts - Same thing with this one...I've just always seen this one disabled too lol... For those that use this favorites contacts list, no need for this eh
? YouTube - To clarify, this is disabled because I use OGYouTube instead of this to eliminate ads...
---
Attached is also my exported xml file. Enjoy...

I do not need to make any such adjustments because S9 has excellent application management and RAM management. also great switching into the dose. it's a waste of time, and many have to realize it. what you submit has absolutely no meaning in non-root devices. or root or down and leave it on the phone.
my stock S9+ third cycle count....
after the completion of the charging cycle, I recommend to clear the cache via recovery and charge your S9/ S9+ in the range of 15 and 90 %. this works like a charm. no such stupid "kvázy" debloat. they are useless. Verified from the galaxy S7 to the present day!

I never said it was for the S9+. Did I? Nah.
just simply everything, only absolutely necessary apps.
it must be pure pre-rooted AOSP and all the apps available in the market or apk to download.

Enjoy...

I did tried both Adapt Sound & Favorite Contacts on some of my combinations. I believe it was Adapt Sound that removed Dolby Atmos & Favorite Contacts cause the phone to malfunction. I'll test them out tomorrow. Thanks for the screenshots.

Nice Nokia 3310 u have there, disable SystemUI too
LoL did you delete everything on the phone? Some of that stuff being removed will break things.
After my trusty Motorola Nexus 6 fell from the bathroom sink and broke its display I now bought the S9+ which I hope to receive tomorrow. Debloating will be at the top of my list. I would have bought the Pixel XL if it had a wireless charger. I love to leave my phone on one especially at night moments before I go to sleep. No need to search for the USB-cable and stick it in.
One of the reasons for NOT getting the S9+ is all this bloatware.
Are we a minority or is it something they are not getting in Korea?
It took 30 years for Microsoft to realize we hardly ever use a Dutch keyboard in the Netherlands. I fear it's the same with this....
I may post a list tomorrow as well. Not a list with more programs, but probably less as I don't care about some bloat and I prefer to have it without lost dependencies.
It will not be a list for recommendation, but one that I encourage you to criticize...
I have 0 hours with this thing (I will only get it tomorrow), but being on a rooted phone for so long I want to get rid of this bloatware the moment I start it.
[EDIT]
Just saw my signature...
That one needs an update
The S4 Active is still going strong in my GF's possession, but the LG G2 has swallowed some bitter lemon several years ago.
Now own a broken Nexus 6 and a Motorola G2 as spare phone...

well if you go based off this u better install every app off google play store and say "look my phone can do all this". You wouldn't want to be missing out on **** you never use would you... lmao.... ye cuz it makes sense to have things running in the background and installed that you will never use.... People are getting dumber by the day.....
I don't have my S9+ yet (tomorrow?) and it's been a while since I had a Samsung phone.
I've read about that Bixby and I don't believe I want it on my phone. It's not in my local language and Google themselves are starting to develop one this year.
The word Bixby is not to be found in the packages list of the OP.
Or is that covered by its old name com.samsung.android.svoice ??
Can I use this procedure to stop that Bixby?
Excuse my ignorance about this subject... I don't have this phone yet.
Wow that is an extensive list you guys can come up with....
I understand darker backgrounds, turning off wifi/bluetooth and things like that but boy seems like your on the verge of breaking everything about the phone turning that much stuff off. Each to their own but might look into this a little to maybe disable a few extra things in the background.

I've broke the system ui on previous attempts, did a factory reset , & I got a happy working phone. The list is based mostly on the S8 but I did cross reference the list on multiple sources. I used "Package List" by Ben to get the list of apps installed, used Samsung S Galaxy threads from the S4 to S8 devices, my personal S7 edge running a custom rom by Jrkruse to see what apps are installed & why, and google all the S9 packages to know what it each one does. I'm still doing tests but I'm pretty close to finalizing the list. The goal is to leave phone as close to factory as possible.
Please see my original post from the Galaxy S8 to see the XDA article on how to do this.

New phone, new list! I've compiled a list of most of the bloatware packages on the Samsung Galaxy S10 / S10 Plus.

Some have reported that Bixby is completely safe to remove, as well as, Pay but I'll leave that up to the community to discuss. I've removed Bixby and replaced it with Button Remapper app and my Bixby Button works great! I get single press, double press, long press remaps working 100%! It's the only reason why I like Bixby and it's because we get an extra physical button for our personal use. I hope Samsung never gets rid of Bixby, having an extra customizable button is invaluable!
BTW, if you change your mind and want to re-enable a pkg, then check the XDA article in the link, there's an ADB command for that too
Before you remove the stock launcher, please make sure you have another one installed.

I did not remove the Bixby Vision / Framework packages because then we still retain built-in QR, barcode scanning and other AI stuff from the stock camera app.
Then, install your fav button remapper app from the Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=flar2.homebutton
For an explanation of what these packages do, please see this informative post by @Ace42:

Thanks, you just did what I was too lazy to do. I won't disable all of those but now at least I don't have an excuse for not removing some junk.
I recently used the adb method to get the mobile data quick settings tile back on my AT&T S10. Is there a way to disable the "Are you sure you want to turn off data?" prompt that now comes up using this same method?

Thank you for this thread. Very helpful. ? I removed bixby and a few other apps on the list.
Could you be more specific about which method you used to remap Bixby? I see a number of remapper apps, and a few walkthroughs here, but am interested in what you did exactly?
Thanks!
Edit: Also, thanks for sharing this post, it's awesome and makes the phone feel that much better!
Phone is Starting hangup
Thanks for the guide! I'm running into an issue with an S10e when I remove some of the apps, where the home screen on my phone is unresponsive and displays a message "Phone is starting." I'm currently trying to find which app it is, but it seems to be under GENERAL SYSTEM header.
I'm going to try removing everything in safe mode. Thanks again!

If you removed app.launcher and don't have an alternate launcher installed (e. g. Nova Launcher) , that might be your issue.

Try first using the command "$ adb shell" without the quotes or enter adb shell before every pm command such as adb shell pm uninstall -k

Couldnt get the '$ adb shell' to be recognized but uninstall works well by putting 'adb shell' first in each command line :good:

I'm using Package Disabler pro to debloat things im not using, is this a good method or should i use adb? Is it disadvantage with using disabler pro?
Anyone have an idea on what to disable to stop my settings (specifically Caller ID) disabling daily? I assume this is a Verizon measure with running unlocked firmware to promote their caller id subscription.
If I enable caller id in phone settings, it will last for about 24 hours before randomly toggling itself off. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for this post, disabling stuff using adhell3

For what it's worth, I debloated all the stock launchers and the nav bar gestures still work, all 3 of them.
I used your removal list.

However, now I am stuck with vertical recent apps page.
Any idea which package I have to install again to get Samsung's horizontal recent apps back?

@Ace42 Thank you for finding those!

I was removing apps through adb as well when I had my Mate 20 X but it's easier to just use App Freezer from the play store to feeeze/unfreeze apps on the fly. Then if you want you can share your xml file with others.
Removed SoundAlive then realised that also got rid of Dolby Atmos, now Advanced Sound Settings doesn't do anything.
Does anyone know the actual package name (seeing as App inspector now shows only installed apps) so that I can resurrect the app?
Thanks in advance.

I heard that app freezer can mess up your phone so it can't do backups?

Nope, Backup still working as intended, just checked. To be clear, I am using ADB command line in Terminal , not any specific apps. Read that firmware updates are also unaffected.
I could not find official adb for macOS. I did find an old thread (2017) which has adb for macOS for download.
Quick question: Is there an official adb installer for macOS or do I have to fire up my windows machine?
---------- Post added at 07:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:30 PM ----------
I actually got adb on my MacOS by installing "android-platform-tools".
Code:
brew cask install android-platform-tools

I'm loving Bixby Routines, as it actually has nothing to do with Bixby and does a really awesome function. I was telling someone about that yesterday as a reason they should swap from iOS (they're debating on it already).
Does removing any of the Bixby stuff change / mess with Routines? I'm thinking they just called it this, and it has nothing to do with actual Bixby. The AI stuff for battery, performance and these Routines are why I changed over to a Samsung (not from Apple) and I love them.
In response to whoever mentioned removing Samsung Pay. SP is accepted in more places than Google Pay and has increased security. They generate a one time Card Number for any transactions, masking your existing.
Recent Apps not showing
After running the command above. I can't use the Recent Apps button. How do I enable it again? Thanks!
I would guess with most of the bloatware removed the Note 10 would be much faster
Wait is there FM Radio app in the note 10 or did OP just copy paste the codes from another post?

Very useful, thanks!
I want to disable Bixby, but want to keep routines. Do they rely on each other to run, or do I need all of Bixby there for Routines to run
Edit: didn't see Llama had the same question... Still looking for an answer though. Same thing with samsung pass and samsung pay. I use lastpass since Samsung pass doesn't have a desktop version, but want to keep samsung pay
Debloat My Note..
The copy/paste suggestion saved me hours of typing pm uninstall, over and over, lol.
Thanks for an invaluable post, once again..
Anyone have battery dramatically improve doing this?
If so, by how much?
Need to know whether it's worth it. Only getting 4.5hrs sot

I spent the last couple hours researching to put together this debloating list. This list is only guaranteed to be complete (make use of all debloating opportunities) for the Motorola Edge 40 Pro which is EU version, im not sure if Chinese version, Moto X40 or US/Canada version, Edge+ (2023) have any additional packages on top of this, or as replacement for some of this. Anyone that has input on that can reply it, and i will check it to be added to OP.
So, here are the debloating instructions:
adb shell
rtwo:/ # >> type "su" if you are rooted (may reach more protected packages, not neccesary)
rtwo:/ # >> Copy-paste this all at once and press Enter:

You can see this is "adb shell pm uninstall" but cut down for shell, that's to avoid having to paste each line individually as otherwise it would only process first and last
As you can see, Motorola did a good job at bloating this device.. even for a flagship like this, the performance gain post-debloat is extremely noticable. Now you are closer to AOSP and all core features keep working.
** Note: as this list was made from scratch, it needs more testing, to see if everything remains stable. I already spotted hiccups to set up VPN's ( + the ability to configure display refresh rate) and this is under investigation, i advise caution for now or only people that are willing to leave feedback to use it. Be aware that when it comes to stability, it's about identifyting which removals cause any issues, as recovering one that you've uninstalled is straightforward using adb shell > cmd package install-existing [package name] so in practise, a debloat is risk free.

Could be useful in some cases but mind there are actually alot of useful apps you are deleting that are not actually bloatware.
Couple of examples are:
com.motorola.faceunlock
com.motorola.dolby.dolbyui
com.motorola.thermalservice
com.motorola.gamemode
com.motorola.carrierconfig
com.motorola.settings
com.motorola.aiservices

No, my definition of it is OEM apps that you don't really need, or can make your own arrangements for. The grand sum of all Motorola apps and fancy features together is what's perceived as bloat, and any selections like you are making are subjective - like with any debloats, if the person that uses it knows what they'd like to keep for their specific usecase, they can customize before running it.
Btw, some duplicates where Motorola was making Android features fancier (like for example, com.motorola.carrierconfig is a sauce for com.android.carrierconfig) where there is a working fallback on its Google implementation, were included

FYI, after this debloat, dynamic refresh rate that selects up to 120hz will continue working and is enabled by default.. but the option to select a fixed refresh rate (or 165) can't be found. I wasn't clear enough. So for most users it will be just fine, even before we identify what has to be exempted from the debloat. Most pressing issue is VPN one, it's the priority to identify the exemption to make.
Besides this, i didn't notice anything vital not working, you'll basically be on AOSP (but i still wouldn't trust any OEM not to have further hidden code or things that transmit your data. I wouldn't personally use anything but a custom ROM like LineageOS, to be fully transparent. So im just sharing debloat list for the sake of others that will stick to stock ROM)
Thanks for sharing how to debloat (and working on lineage!!)
Say if one's definition of 'bloatware' extends to google play services, play store etc, would you have have happened to try a full degoogle and microG replacement? I'll try once I get my device.
