Hi all
Well as the title says - I'm a tablet virgin and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing with my new found toy and wondered if anyone could help? I've won (yes won!) a Kyoto Mid 7000 tablet and I cannot find any information on the web that isn't in Spanish!
1) I am trying to open You tube from the preinstalled app - it says it's loading then no matches found - despite what I put in?*!
2) I've tried to find other apps on the apps market pre installed button - and I can't even find anything??? It will let me download the ones that come up automatelically but I can't find anything new when I search???
Can anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong - or how I can fix it if it's a problem with my new toy.

Is there any possibility to upgrade to Gingerbread or ICS ? The guy who works on the custom roms says, we need a new kernel. Dynavin.com doesnt gives any sources etc.
Does anybody from you have the possibility to create a new kernel for this device, so i can install ginger or ics on it? Froyo is so annoying
I even would pay for a good working solution (kernel + - custom rom) !
Anybody can help me please?

Here is the latest update for the unit in question from dynavin's website dynavin.com/android.php
I would also be willing to pay for a custom kernal + rom for this unit, I know this would be popular in all the BMW forums.
Anyone got an idea? I think phone calls are possible with a MediaPad 10 FHD, but how to make it work?

the seller made it sure that the sim slot is data only and i guess it is the same issue with the nexus one and till now no one succeeded in solving this important issue
Have you tried to install phone.apk? (from any other android with same version)
still can't this voice call features wont work...I've system upgrade to JB but the phone.apk is in directory but not working...haist!

Phone call can be activated on Chinese rom with a littel patch.
all you need is ROM+Root+Patch+and an SD Card in case

Flash blow rom on your device with sdcard upgrade.

set you Mediapad 10 FHD USB Debugging checked and Driver installed

the cmd windows will give a massage just press OK and wait until see " press any key to continue" on cmd window.
Ur Mediapad10 FHD will boot up, after boot put an SD-Card into the slot on device its better to be empty SD-Card formatted in fat32.
In apps you will see a new app named "PhonePatch2"
Open it
press the first button from top and give root access by press allow or grant button.
after an little tablet restarts and now open the phonepatch2 again and press the second button form top to install Phone app press "Always Allow".
after a minute or two you'll see phone app appear on app-list.
just restart your Mediapad 10 FHD once more and ready to make calls.

what if i upgrade to the general version of 4.1.2 will it work or i have to stick with the chinese version?
Only works on this CN version . Just this version.

for having Google apps you should root your Mediapad 10 FHD and then download
[remove space]

and install "actiGSM.apk" on device
after opening the app just tap on left button and it restart device and Google apps will be available

use any type on this furom or web to root media pad 10 fhd jb 4.1.2,
root is root.

My advice for you is to go on freaktab site to ask for help to: wasser or d33 or finless those are very good and they already had the source code and they do builds for minix series.
